Loved the video!! I kept snakes and spiders as pets, as a young teenager. My mother, hated them so much, I had to keep the snakes outside. Luckily we lived in Brooksville, Fla, so the weather was never too very cold. I kept the spiders in my bedroom, until one had babies, and that was the end of that!! lol
Very cool Joe, after seeing that mangrove light him up a few times I was surprised when he came out with the Banded Krait in his hands, when I was younger I took more chances but after loosing a few friends in the business that were very experienced, I’m a bit more cautious now. Thanks for sharing.
Agreed I have worked with branded Kraits before and while extremely docile they are still one of the top 10 in toxicity. So no I definitely would not free hand one. As for the mangrove the9have to latch on and chew to inject. The worst I have felt is numbness and itching from there bite.
@@poeonthego Yeah, the Banded Krait is very docile and I’ve free handed several in the Philippines, but I was much younger and dumber back then lol, I know the Mangroves have small rear fangs but they are super aggressive, especially when first caught. Thanks again, it’s always good to chat with a fellow herper.
