The best "evil" superman was in red sun. Much of thr traits that make Superman stay the same, but in raise by the loving family from the Kents, was raised up by the Soviet Union under Stalin. Even at his worst, Superman always care about saving lives and respect their choices around the world but living under Soviet Union ideas was willing to be oppervise tyanny. He came close to being the injusticse Superman with Soviet Union idea collapsing but Superman realized he gone too far on trying to put the world in a safe bottle and silence when into shadow, letting the world make it own path and he help protect it without him being in the spotlight. Usually, the biggest problem I see with turning hero into villian that they abandoned everything thatake them who they are. @@HornZ. that's what I despise about injustice they could turn this into a moral story between the world superman is making and the one batman wants to return too see the good and evil of both and how superman and batman are influenced instead we get evil superman and good batman
red son was never really evil tho. justice lords is better, as it shows how superman's methods actually made a better world but only by enforcing his sense of justice, and shows how he started crossing more boundaries, such as killing alt flash when that was what caused him to start the whole thing.

6:00 There's a few more issues with this scene that I dont see people talk about a lot. In the comics, Damian hits Nightwing in the temple, but he falls over and breaks his neck on a rock. While the blow to the temple CAN be fatal, I think the rock being there makes it more accidental since it was insinuated that the blow only made him stagger back and the rock was ultimately what killed him. Damian freaks out and is grief striken because he really didn't mean for that to happen, but here he just lands on smooth ground so the blow was the only thing that could have killed him, pinning the responsibility of his death entirely on Damian, yet he wasn't as blown back by it as he should have. And that's another thing. In the comics, Damian tries to pick him up, but Batman pushes Damian off and shouts "GET OFF OF HIM!!!", clearly angered at him. Here, he just kind of wimply shoves him off and says "Get off him!" like if he's still trying to maintain a businessman persona. Yes, that can be him fighting through the grief to maintain his composure, but again, the point of this scene is to show that it enraged him so much that he stopped caring about anything else while he took in the situation.
And that's why they should've made the movie only about year 1. Seeing batman completely loosing it and basically saying that dick was his true son not damian was supposed to be a big moment. Superman even went out of his way to get catwoman to help bruce as he knew he went too far to back down but still wanted his friend to get the help he needs. 1nd making the movie about year 1 would've left time to show the batman and alfred fight against superman
@@somethingwithultra7231 The death IS silly but it's meant to highlight (I think, anyways) 2 things: That 1: Despite losing someone he loves, Batman did NOT end up on the side of Superman (of course ignoring the part where Superman lost the entire city of Metropolis as well) and 2: Superman's ideology would lead to the death of more than just criminals. I think a lot of Injustice suffers from not giving us enough insight on characters and their feelings and focusing too much on the action. As well as having a lot of inconsistencies when it comes to how the characters act and their overall strength.
This really should have been a six or eight season animated series (depending on if they want to adapt Injustice 2 game & comic) to adapt the story properly, rather than a one hour movie that tries to cramp in all of the material in one go.
When it came to this movie I honestly wanted to stop watching but then plastic man showed up again and I was very pleased with how well he was portrayed, literally ripped him from the comic. Easily my favourite part of this absolute mockery.

@@printer_fire475 I like it when stories have realistic deaths once in a while, obviously I might be bias but I think it can be used well. The best example for me is Gwen Stacy's death in the comics. Before that, no one thought Spiderman's webs could affect someone negatively like that. Her death is used really well in the story, just like night wing's is in the original injustice, which is why I like his death as well. As long as the writers use the death well instead of making it random and forgettable, it's cool for me. Stories can often have an out of left field death for the sake of death with realism as an excuse which is jarring, and the sudden realism for no reason can be odd and mess with the story tonely.
One big missed opportunity for this movie was having the scene where Plastic Man calls Superman out for very obviously being a bad guy now. It doesn't *really* tie into anything that happens in the movie and is more of a subplot, but it's easily the best moment in the comic and is why Plastic Man is the best character in this storyline. It's too bad he never became playable in the games
the jokers where celebrating the man who is responsible for the death of superman’s friend, wife, unborn child, and nuked an entire city of innocent men women and children. they also had the audacity to insult him and tell him that the man who ruined his life was all about “freedom”. they got what they had coming to be completely honest
Bro when Damien threw the stick at nugget wing it looked like the weakest throw and to die almost instantly from a blow to the temple would take about 1800 psi to kill you and even if it only ruptures an artery or major vein he would not die instantly
It's not that I don't understand nightwing or something like that, it's just goofy asf. I didnt expect him to be mad or anything, but "bummer" I feel like was an odd line
Nah, Damian isn't just a little shit in the movies. That's his whole schtick: him just kinda being terrible. He sometimes works okay as a foil, but just on his own? ugh.
@@thedude8457 True, he can grow up and be better. But he beheaded a man, put a grenade in the mouth of the severed head, pulled the pin and threw it at Tim because Bruce adopted him and he was jealous. Not his last kill, either. Not typical kid behavior, so I'm gonna stick with 'little shit'.

One thing I'll always hate is that when the Flash dies, nobody says anything about it. You would think someone would at least bring up wanting to do a funeral service for him.
I just wish they'd adapted more faithfully. Instead of trying to cram 5 years of comics + a game's campaign that is longer than the Snyder Cut into a single movie. Like, if they adapted just the first volume of the comics or at most the first and the second into a 120-150 minutes animated movie, they could make more money (I won't argue about a better story or a better product in general, that's not what they care about) because then they could make this a trilogy at the very, very least and a whole franchise at best. But no, let's just make it a single movie, one and done and that's it. The Long Halloween get to be two movies though.
5:00 not to discredit how horrible this movie was but... this actually did happen in the comics. Actually fear gas alone wouldn't really have much of an effect on superman. The joker actually mixed the fear gas with kryptonite to have the effect that it did. Just saying
After watching this video. It seems like a good amount of the issues this guy is having were scenes straight from the comic. The deviations were the worst part of the movie, but the death of nightwing and him turning into deadman is what actually happened in the comics which was great.
@@MrDynastyd yeah but the way it happened in the comics were much better then the movie they same things happen but they happen MUCH better in the comics/games
A studio who have been making good to great movies for the last decade, combined with one of the most thrilling and interesting storylines in DC history. How the hell did it go so wrong?
That stick throwing thing with Robin and Nightwing happens in the comics too, but it is far more impactful and well done. In the comic, we see robin do that exact move earlier when training with Nightwing and getting frustrated, the only difference being Dick catching the stick. The comic set precedent for Nightwing’s death, while the movie didn’t have the time to care. Also, he didn’t just get hit in the head in the comics. Nightwing was only knocked out by what Robin did, what killed him was breaking his neck on a boulder when he fell
Yknow, I always find it weird that a kid raised by assassins and trained by the Batman himself doesn’t realizes and stops himself from hitting someone in the temple with a projectile.
Making Superman at the end just go “I realized I’m evil, sorry guys” within literal seconds was so cringe. It was better in the games/comics where Superman is just an irredeemable dictator who will never change his mind despite his failures.
A change I really didn't like is changing the chess scene with mr Terrific in the comics it was the flash. Losing an argument with one of the smartest people in DC is one thing, but losing an argument to the flash is different. The flash, superman argument was meant to show how easily superman's plan was flawed, so flawed that even flash can dismantle it so much. ( I'm not calling flash stupid it's just the way it's characterized)
It’s funny they added that move from the game because only Superman probably can survive the whole thing to finish the sequence Otherwise most other characters would have died from it lol
8:22 “All they did was wear face paint to look like something you don’t like.” To be fair, this would be like people dressing up in SS uniforms for a party. Yeah, killing them’s way overreacting but they know what they’re doing.
Idk man. I dont think the real world reaction to people wearing terrorist masks would be instant death with not thinking.. superman is really easy to get mad then. Superman? More like SuperMad
one of my biggest problems with the movie is just the artstyle. It looked like they were trying to mixed the dcau style with a more realistic one, and it just does not work. They should've went full on realistic, looking kinda like the new 52 movies. I think it should've be split into 5 seasons, each season adapting a year, with a sequel movie adapting injustice 2, similar to invincible.
Flashes ludicrously disrespectful death is the worst part of the movie. It’s exceptionally hard to believe that he’s die that way. However, the alternate Lois scene was my favorite part. It was so emotional and you can feel the connect AND the disconnect between them. Both of them lost their REAL other and are now staring down what they lost. Idk I liked it.
What’s funny is that Nightwing’s death actually is built up on more in-the comics, considering he falls and breaks his neck on some rocks. But I think that’s the issue, mentioned earlier, was that they tried to put a massive story in an hour long film.
The Flash dying less than ten minutes in was insane to me and it's made so, so much worse by the fact that his death is never brought up again after it happens. None of the characters give a single shit, it's ridiculous. Agreed on Plastic Man being the best character tho, he was a bright spot in that total mess of a movie.
I agree, it's treatment of an excellent story from the games and comics was horrible to say the least. Wonder Woman is supposed to be downright evil and manipulative. Superman is supposed to be so convinced of his mission that there's no coming back through a cheesy "ohmigawd, what have I done" moment brought about by bringing in an alternative universe version of his dead wife. The fact that they tied this up so neatly in the end is just lazy story writing and pandering on the part of the writers who clearly have no clue of what the source material is
is this superman switching motives and intention with crime fighting or just homelander entering superman and being "imma take over your body for 1h an 18 mins"
The problem with the movie is that they tried to adapt the whole series instead of just one main storyline. These are two games and hundreds of comic issues, cramming it into 80 minutes is impossible. Which tells me that it wasn't even the creatives' fault it was the producer's. Who gave them this impossible task. Literally everything bad you said about the movie was clearly written in so they could rush to the finale. It's more of a "best moments" highlight reel than an actual coherent movie.
Night wing dying was already sucky in the comics. Damian throwing the stick was part of their schtick where Dick would catch it. Night wing doesn’t catch it and he does fall. However that doesn’t kill him. His death is more tragic because he death was an accident, he fell on a horribly placed rock and broke his neck. In this movie he got BONKED, and then died. Dude takes punches like that for breakfast everyday crimefighting and that kills him. Just poor writing. You can tell they only skimmed the source material
This Is also the most frustrating and annoying Harley Quinn ou there. She helped killed lois and millions of people of Metropolis and unlike the comics or games, she doesn't have that 5 year timeline to develop her role as a reluctant ally for Batman. Instead she just proclaims she wants to be a hero simply to take out superman. The only thing this movie got right was changing Wonder-woman characterization to actually redeem her by having her realize that superman had gone too far.
I would like a series of injustice where it doesn't just paint superman actions as bad and batman rebellion as good where each action has a consequence in superman new world their are no wars no murder a world of peace that can grow into something better but batman's rebellion trying to bring back an era of suffering and death I would want that to be explored the rights and wrongs of both sides
Yes, because I get the idea that the most of the world enjoyed living under Superman‘s rule. Probably had a lot less superhero villain battles going on
The problem is his “time of peace” isn’t really peace you can force everyone to listen to you with overwhelming force and power but then nobody is happy there listening to you because if they don’t they get brutally murdered or imprisoned in alien jail that’s not a world of peace that’s a world of submission
6:25 (I’m the comics) he threw it out of anger which is something he often does. Also in the comics Nightwing doesn’t die from the impact but instead dies from breaking his neck on a rock that he fell on bc of the impact just though I’d mention it
Bruh, the worst part of them killing off Flash besides him being a main character, is that no body mentions it, at all, I don't think anybody in the league noticed
The worst part about this is that in the game there was a 5 year time skip before they brought earth 1 superman to fight evil superman and he beat him, but here when the time skip doesn’t happen and they bring earth 1 superman earlier he loses? How? Evil superman should be weaker since there’s no time skip but he still loses it makes no sense.
Don't worry, Nightwing's death is dumber outside of the movie. In other canon, Nightwing was struck by Robin, whether by thrown nightstick or whatever, then falls perfectly back of neck first on a rock which severs his spinal cord with blunt force because it didn't break skin. That or by falling his neck broke. (Edit): Actually nevermind, Nightwing doesn't become discount deadman otherwise. Or appear after dying in the afterlife.
What I find idiotic about the fear gas is how specific it is. There's no way that a general purpose gas could have different but specific effects across so many different individuals
Something I did like is how a lot of characters didn’t actually take a side. So characters like Green Lantern and Shazam didn’t have character assassination.
the only thing i really liked about the movie, is plastic mans appearance since hes my favorite hero and theres not much of em animated (the reason is hes too op)
*Fans:* Willing to give Warner Bros free money if they gave them an animated movie series just adapting the Injustice Comics *DC Animated Movie Division:* "Nah. Why play life on Easy Mode?"
How was Lois still in tact? I mean if he was attacking Doomsday then he'd have to use a hell of alot of force. Lois would've been ripped to shreds unfortunately.
Surprisingly enough, I liked on how Nightwing/Deadwing actually gave closure to Damian and to some extent to Cyborg. Since the comic’s leaves it as a loose end.
The first time I've played Injustice games, it changed my perspective on the Whole Justice League. Just a couple of minutes Superman's beloved wife, son and his City gone in just one action. The most painful of it all is that Lois and his son died in his hands just because Joker can't defeat Batman. And the whole Injustice follows from Year One up to Five. For me, Injustice is the most Darkest DC stories I've ever read so far...
One more good aspect of this movie (which isn't saying a whole lot) Alarmingly, Plastic Man is phenomenal in this. Oliver Hudson is one of the best preformances here in my opinion, and he actually raises up the only well executed idea of "well what about the people who the prison system helps reform?". That, and "I'm very flattered but very married" is the only line that made me actually laugh at loud on purpose
The homelander bit was way better in the comics and it was the final step in his moral downfall. In the comics they were a secret civil rights group who opposed superman non violently that called themselves the joker society I think. But point is, they boiled down a 5 year comic book arc to the 1st year.
I agree with literally everything but I do feel like seeing his dead wife(that he killed) alive with his unborn kid(that he also killed) would make him at least chill out long enough to stop him, and at most make him change the person he became with out them .
What's wrong with this movie. Like why did they kill iconic characters in the lamest way possible. How is seeing Lois lane pregnant stop Superman. This was very frustrating to watch.
All that just to give Mr terrific a shot they killed off the flash in a humiliating and unrealistic way that he easily could have got out of, just so Mr terrific could take the flashes role for that poorly portrayed chest match!!???? They completely dropped the ball on this movie this movie was absolutely s***!!! And the ending was an abortion!!!!
In the comics knightwings death is even dumber because he not only got hit in the head but he dies from cracking his neck on a small rock on the ground
I haven't read the comic, saw the trailer and thought it looked pretty good, when I got around to watching it I found it so uninteresting that after I had to pause it right before the end to answer a call or something I didn't bother to put it back on to finish it.
Nightwing becoming a ghost hero is canon to the story but it happens way to early In the comics the Original Dead Man dies and he decides to give his lineage to NightWing before dying I do say Plastic Man hard carried this movie (Also the Joker was pretty good as well)
It bothers me a lot that this film was only an hour and 13 minutes. Injustice is an amazing storyline that deserves justice (no pun intended) and not cramped into a fairly short movie.

Plastic Man was the best thing about this movie. Not only was his characterisation on point, almost every scene with him was gold.
Injusticse Superman is just another general Zod were Red Son Superman is still Superman.
Yesss i liked Red Sun, never finished it tho cuz I forgot but that was a good Evil Superman

Facts 🤌
It will always be a really silly death though tbh. Like they could've at least done so while he was seriously fighting someone directly.
I can see it being 5 seasons at best
remember that the amazo and Raz part was part of the injustice 2 comics
they just threw everything they could in there
When it came to this movie I honestly wanted to stop watching but then plastic man showed up again and I was very pleased with how well he was portrayed, literally ripped him from the comic. Easily my favourite part of this absolute mockery.
The dead wing thing was good in the comics but the way they did it here was horrible, also Nightwing doesn’t die that way in the comics

Because Injustice is so bad.

I was honestly more pissed at scarecrows death than flashes death
Yea both are equally stupid imo 😂
At first I thought you was bout to disrespect the comics, but this whole ass movie is disrespecting the comics by existing.
Nah I get it, that scene sounds super interesting, excited to see it in the comics
The Flash wasn't an idiot yk that right?
@@TheBadnewz56 yeah I know it's just comparing him to mr terrific is kinda unfair

one of my biggest problems with the movie is just the artstyle.
Damian is good in the comics, not only that but his version of Batman is badass, also Damian has done a lot of good in the comics.
The flash literally ran past the edge of the universe outrunning death itself but got taken out by a reject Jigsaw trap
fr 🚶♂️
The fact that they tied this up so neatly in the end is just lazy story writing and pandering on the part of the writers who clearly have no clue of what the source material is
Yeah wtf was that ending? He just flies away as if nothing happened!?
**Man gets accidentally killed by his brother and is sent to heaven**
"Bummer."
That... is fucking legendary.
is this superman switching motives and intention with crime fighting
or just homelander entering superman and being "imma take over your body for 1h an 18 mins"
“He always blocks it…always”🥺
“OBVIOUSLY HE DOESNT! WHY WOULD YOU EVEN DO THAT??”
😂😂😂😂
The problem with the movie is that they tried to adapt the whole series instead of just one main storyline. These are two games and hundreds of comic issues, cramming it into 80 minutes is impossible.
Which tells me that it wasn't even the creatives' fault it was the producer's. Who gave them this impossible task.
Literally everything bad you said about the movie was clearly written in so they could rush to the finale. It's more of a "best moments" highlight reel than an actual coherent movie.
Flash didnt even get to go through his whole arc of changing sides
Night wing dying was already sucky in the comics. Damian throwing the stick was part of their schtick where Dick would catch it. Night wing doesn’t catch it and he does fall. However that doesn’t kill him. His death is more tragic because he death was an accident, he fell on a horribly placed rock and broke his neck. In this movie he got BONKED, and then died. Dude takes punches like that for breakfast everyday crimefighting and that kills him. Just poor writing. You can tell they only skimmed the source material
i got hit by an intense wave of flashbacks when knight of the wind started playing
I'm tired of evil superman
I just want nice, wholesome, funny, badass in a way Superman who's the strength of the weak
It should have been a series, they could have thoroughly developed plot lines and not made the Batman vs Superman conflict so one sided

Bruh, the worst part of them killing off Flash besides him being a main character, is that no body mentions it, at all, I don't think anybody in the league noticed
The minds behind this movie wiped their ass with the comics then fed it to a script making AI. That’s how this movie was spawned.
Okay wow “Deadwing”’s (ugh) transformation really does look like a Sailor Moon one😭😭
Facts, as much as I dont like this movie, its such a fun reference 😂
The worst part about this is that in the game there was a 5 year time skip before they brought earth 1 superman to fight evil superman and he beat him, but here when the time skip doesn’t happen and they bring earth 1 superman earlier he loses? How? Evil superman should be weaker since there’s no time skip but he still loses it makes no sense.
They did plastic man dirty honestly, they took away all his coolest scenes.
One of only other good things is Damien admitting that Dick Grayson is better than him
Don't worry, Nightwing's death is dumber outside of the movie.
Thawne must have felt really incompetent when he found out that Flash was killed not by him, but by the fucking Joker with some fear gas.

Every fan: SHUT UP, DAMIEN!
A lot of these events happen in the comics but they're much more well developed and given room to breathe
I really recommend the Dark Knights Metal Event storyline, I forgot the read order but it is crazy
One more good aspect of this movie (which isn't saying a whole lot)
Alarmingly, Plastic Man is phenomenal in this. Oliver Hudson is one of the best preformances here in my opinion, and he actually raises up the only well executed idea of "well what about the people who the prison system helps reform?".
That, and "I'm very flattered but very married" is the only line that made me actually laugh at loud on purpose
At least the movie gave us Plastic Man flipping off a security camera
The homelander bit was way better in the comics and it was the final step in his moral downfall.
In the comics they were a secret civil rights group who opposed superman non violently that called themselves the joker society I think.
But point is, they boiled down a 5 year comic book arc to the 1st year.
*Superman:* _"You’re gathering in his name?"_
