Thanks, John! I hope they still loan me watches after giving them a fair shake here. You know, ‘beauty is only skin deep’ was actually one of the title ideas I was toying with. In sync as always 🤣
Great review! Love the design and would love to own a Yema but the online reviews have not been kind when it comes QC and customer service. That is a beautiful watch though, beautifully shot to! Thanks for a great review!
I have a Yema Superman 39mm. It's a great watch also, but I don't wear it as much as I probably should. This GMT has a really cool look to it as well! Love the color combo! Great review as always Harvind!
Balanced review! To me, the QC issues/design choices aren't really relevant. I will never use the watch as a diver, never use the bezel, so its possibly erratic functioning and 120 clicks are of no concern to me. Also the clasp isnt that much of a deal breaker. When wearing the watch one hardly sees it anyway. So yes, I'd pick this watch for its stunning looks. And 10% off for new customers (going up to 12% and 14% for returning ones) can be just the right incentive to take the plunge despite the niggles.
I'm sorry I adore that color scheme it's absolutely gorgeous but I agree build quality matters especially since when you get a watch it's not just a watch anymore.
Wow. I did not see that coming. It’s an expensive watch and I assumed it would have a great fit and finish. But the glare and stamp clasp would be such a bummer. Plus i don’t know what to expect long term from movement inside. Great looking watch. Really beautiful. And major props for the original design. That’s something we need more of. Now they just need to focus on build quality and components. That’s a shame.
My thoughts exactly! To put things into perspective, design is usually where most brands struggle. Yema seems to have that on lockdown, so improving their build quality should be a much simpler undertaking if they set their minds to it. Thanks for watching, Eric!
I agree 100% with the review except that the glare hasnt bothered me much. The bezel action is poor but the color scheme is so beautiful. I almost always wear it with the parachute strap so I don’t mind the clasp. The lug width is 19m I think
You're right, the lug width is 19mm. I listed that correctly in the spec section but mentioned the wrong size in the bracelet section. Good to know the glare doesn't bother you that much. I'm probably more critical of that because it was just so dang hard to get good shots with that glare.
Now that you've mentioned it, I wonder if Marine Nationale personnel get to choose between this Yema or the Tudor for their service watch. That's a great perk of the job!
Beautiful watch for sure. Although the craftsmanship is a little disappointing. For the money, I would get a Christopher Ward over this all day long. Thanks for the great review.
Fair enough! I've been dying to get my hands on a CW, they look incredible and seem to be excellent quality. That's probably going to be the next watch I add to my core collection - hopefully by the end of this year.
@@WristWatching Ha! Yeah I talk big like I’ve handled all kinds of high end Swiss Watches… But based on the reviews I’ve seen of CW, it looks like it would be a better buy than this Yema.
Thanks for the review. Same old story with Yema, sadly. Chinese brands have AR and milled clasps so no excuse for it. You should not have to replace the crystal to be able to use it properly.. I won't be holding my breath as issues are a continuing issue with the brand. Sad.
Thanks Howard! I've been hearing a lot about QC/customer service issues. It's a shame, really. They have excellent designs, but they really need to step up on these other aspects of the business.
Yema is that girl that looks like the girl of your dreams but as you get closer it turns out to be a guy with long hair. Haha Ton of QC problems and bad customer service. It is a hard pass for me.
0:54 Yema is a French brand, NOT a French band 🎸
Excellent review Harvind. Pulled no punches. I guess it's true when they say beauty is only skin deep :)

I got this watch and I agree with you about the stamped clasp, but glare has never really been an issue for me
I think the glare was more pronounced for me because I had to take photos and videos of it. It was a nightmare to film.

Thanks Dan! You have some incredible watches. I really need to see your full collection one of these days!

Thank you! As much as I love the way this watch looks, I had to tell it as it is. I hope Yema doesn’t stop sending me review units 🤣
Thanks, very insightful review!
Thanks for watching!

Exactly, love the colour scheme on this though. So tasty.
It looks the part, but having read a lot about Yema and watched reviews, they have too many quality and customer services issues for me buy one.
That’s Yema in a nutshell. Great designs, questionable QC/customer service.

Really helpful review.
Thank you!
Unfortunate about the build quality but it looks really nice. Thanks.
It's a stunner for sure. Thanks for watching, Bob!
Beautiful design but for that price it could be better hopefully yema will improve it for the future
I really hope so too!
Beautiful, a good second option after the Tudor Marine Nationale.
That has issues too. It's way too thick.
@@MrPINKFL0YD I mean, I wouldn't wear it with a shirt and blazer, and the strap won't help, but I still find it appropriate in its utilitarian scope

Thanks, the 12mm + crystal is a steel block and don't appreciate it, else lovely watch. Weird bezel action and inconsistency

Why did Yema copy Tag Heuer Aquaracer GMT?
The colours are probably inspired, but besides that they look completely different.
Great design, but the Yema 3000 is POS.
Out of the box: more than 30s/ day.
After servicing: 19s/ day.
That's a bad joke 😡
The side profile isnt much attractive with that bezel sitting so high
It’s not my cup of tea too, but it’s their signature design so I respect that.
The only watch EVER with a stupid “CE” engraving on the case back. Like found on electrical equipment. Ruins everything!
I never noticed that tbh

I hate how accurate this is 🤣
Yama’s service is horrible with non existence quality, do not buy…
I've been hearing that a lot
