I have always admired authentic musicians, but can merely draw and write- research- about overlooked women artists whether it be from the Italian Renaissance or Wanda Jackson. I'm sorry. I haven't seen Margo live but everything I've seen online is very low energy in my opinion. Very monotone, which can work with certain styles. This is what I'd consider to be "rockabilly";and nothing stands out about her vocals whatsoever. Slapping a tambourine isn't any consolation. It's like a drunken karaoke night down there at the lounge. Can't tell if she is Stevie Nicks, Nancy Wilson, or Jewel. Definitely low energy thom The band is carrying her. And they aren't anything to brag about. Bring on the shit-posters... I'm seeing Margo bc she is on Sturgill's tour so I thought I'd check her out here first. After watching a dozen videos, I've made the informed decision that I'll be pre-gaming during her set.
