England have always had a love affair with sparkling, especially that some claim that it was the English who first discovered sparkling wine and not the French.
Not our job to say if it is true however we decided to put the theory to the test by ordering a bottle of sparkling from England, YES it was shipped directly from bibendum-wine.co.uk .
Our host, Dan Coward (we only thought it fitting to ask our dear Englishman Dan to review one of his own) looks at the wine objectively and fairly ... or does he?

You don't swirl sparkling wine, ever. You destroy the bubbles which actually help give the bouquet. It was painful watching the excessive swirling and the head dissipating.
