its said in racer vs gray fight, racer slows his enemies in a range to the point they think racer is too much fast for them. In fact gray shot an arrow from a lot of distance and beat Race. In this filler arc i think he simply became a super human with a lot of speed and power, but he sacrifice his body and mind

I think it’s more of a concentrated area of effect where he alters his enemies sense of time. Gray noticed the birds in the sky were moving very fast compared to normal but it took me rewatching and watching others reaction to fairy tail to even try to comprehend.
@@StephAkripa Nope that was Lyon, who noticed the unsual speed of the bird in that fight against Racer. Lyon then froze Gray in Ice and lured Racer away so the Slowing Magic didn't work on Gray anymore...
