Oddly enough the child marriage laws were just updated in Ohio and Pennsylvania. My aunt was married at 14 or 15.

Yes, it is legal for a 17-year-old to marry in Ohio if they meet certain requirements:
They must have consent from the Juvenile Court
They cannot be more than four years older than their spouse
They must complete a Marriage Counseling Form before obtaining a license from the Probate Court
They must wait 14 days after the Juvenile Court files its consent order with the Probate Court before applying for a marriage license
They must present the Consent Order from the Juvenile Court along with all other required documentation when applying for a marriage license

And yet, senator Menedez was buying 14 year old “S workers” in Dominican Republic as a 60 year old man, and selling influence for Gold bars (years later) and still serving in our senate. 21 to 14 is not wild considering it’s a third world country. When I lived in Philippines, a famous Pinot singer in his 60s was married to a 16 year old girl and no one had a problem with it. I was the only one acting offended, everyone else thought it was funny.
