  • gta san andreas in basically gmod2. at 1:1 scale no limits.
    including banshee
    no release yet tho dont want r* to screw me over releasing their files.
    got the whole thing fitted also imported all 11000 textures and 6000 models into S&box.

    with how huge the map is i'm surprised the viewmodels don't get jittery

      the body glitched trough the clothing at the very edge of the map, thats the only issue i noticed no jitter, no abnormalies
      its about 650k units if i remember right.
      it gets noticeable jittery way out at about 2 to 5 million units but not too bad, still playable.
      at 100 or so million the models become literally blocks. spheres have steps and such.
      but physics still work fine. its all just a rendering issue.
      this could be fixed by rendering with the zero vector at the player position. instead of the world 0. but this is internal to the sourceengine.

      @@gamerpaddy Yeah, there's a map that's the entirety of new york (i think?) and the env_sky entity just disappears if you stand near the edge of the map and look away from the center

      @@SnrubSource yea i noticed that too. but i have to correct myself. i just tried it again and got more precise numbers.
      the map is 210.000 units in size (+-105000)
      at +-106k the sky disappears if you dont look at away from the center. i tried this on "testmap" and it behaves the same.
      so not related to the compiled size.
      past +-320k the sky disappears no matter where you look, very little jitter noticeable on the viewmodel.
      at +-1m its a bit rough, very visible jitter but not full dildo yet, i call it playable.
      at +-3m its severely distorted.

      the gun width is basically the resolution now. movement is janky, props look like this aswell but physics still work.
      someone eventually figures out a solution to all of this someday. maybe

    Ich meine Freak hat gerade erst nen key bekommen und der hat nen mörder workshop score...

      hab ne halbe million workshop score, war platz 19 als ich geguckt hab vor paar tagen.

      kommt auch drauf an wann man sich das erste mal einschreibt. wenn man in der queue hockt und sich jemand einschreibt der n höheren score hat fällt man zurück. der hat ja allein bei freespace13 schon nen 10x höheren score als mein kram^^
