can you go over the answer for question 4b at then end. When I solve for it I find I'm going to get 2 vuales for x as it is a quadratic. Also thanks for all your vids they are very useful.
17:19 , in Q1 I got the 2nd part of the question as 5th root of 4/15 and I can't simplify it more without it being a decimal so should I keep it as it is ?
no no + or - because it's a cube root, it wouldnt make sense like the cube root of -27 is -3 not both ways remember this when it comes to odd roots & powers
Lots of GCSE papers have differentiation, usually the second paper for EDEXCEL. Try looking on maths genie as they compile lots of the same topic into one booklet and they might have one for differentiation...
If you differentiate you get dy/dx. If you differentiate it again you get a second order differential (I.e. you’ve differentiated twice!) so you call it d2x/dy2
I am not completely sure, but I think you have made an error, where you divided 27x^-2 by x^2. Shouldn't you divide by x^-2, as when you divide powers you minus them and x^-2 minus x^-2 will be x^-2 plus x^2 which then equals 1 and you get 27. Also shouldn't you divide the x^-2 on 8x not multiply??
It’s easy ,then the book I have asks a different question that I’ve not been shown how to work out ,which for me is very hard ,then I get shown and I know how to do it ,what sort of teaching witchcraft is this
can you start a series to solve problems/Questions end of each topic .because i have a lot of problem when i try to solve problems related to the topic .text book Mathemathics core & extended for cambridge IGCSE (0580)
I thought no matter how much I tried to practise differentiation I would never get it. But now thanks to you it's as easy as 1+1. Thank you so much
Underrated topic on iGCSE, useful for my 0607 students, thanks :-)

tysm i get it now but why did we write 8x minus 27x^2 why did we change from plus to minus
thank you duncan loweth my saviour
is this video rotated 90* clockwise for youll?
why is there only one set of coordinates for 1b?? isn't x supposed to be +1.5 or -1.5??

I have a doubt in 1)ii),what if the x had a power of 3(will it be -3 or 2) plz help i hv my paper 4 in few hours.
Because the x is in the denominator it becomes 27x^-1 when you differentiate that will become -27x^-2
