Master distiller is annoying due to the movement skills using the charges, took me a few minutes to notice. But using the 50% chance to not consume a flask helped a bit, but still kept running out of the flask for when I needed to pop it. Great with mob clearing but bad in one on one fights
We're looking at this all wrong.. this node was just a teaser for PoE 2.. it doesnt work in the game now because any mediocre build will likely be using 3 abilities per second.. but in PoE 2 where EVERY movement skill will have a massive cooldown and where we MIGHT get to use an ability once every few seconds, it's going to be sick!
Lol you have no idea what you are talking about. So every skill has a cd including your main skill, and its going to be sick? Lol the gameplay would be sooooo slow and it will be dumb as shit
I think they just copied the function of the potion thrower skill gems and didn't consider that those are _one_ skill vs applying to all skills. Even if they just changed it to not apply to movement/travel skills, or make it only take 1 charge per case of movement/travel skills instead of 3 charges, that could potentially be more sustainable.
Of course it was tested, when Chris explicitly said that wants to "slowdown the players", well, they sorta did it, a node that technically nullifies an entire character.
The only thing that I would think could possible be useful for the master distiller would basically be if temporary minions like SRS, AW, or Skeles could benefit from the node. But given how most interactions have worked in the past, I assume that the bonus applies to the cast and not to the summoned minion.
Actually some traps would be cool but it's not working. So let this node be 1 poison bv with replica eternity shroud. I got my pob to 10kk with like absolute trash gear
Since its granting offensive bonuses, it would make far more sense if it consumed charges whenever you actually hit something instead of when ur just shield charging around the map, and only consume those charges when the buff is not already currently in effect. Hell even if they only did the latter it would prolly become sustainable vs how it is rn
How to fix this: add an active timer for the buffs you get when said charges are consumed. Make them available for, let's say, 6 seconds or whatever is the base duration of those 3 flasks. During this time, you cannot gain another buff of the same type, therefore no more "lemme drink your distilery shop while you shield charge, sir"
The issue with that node is the internal cooldown shared across all flasks on getting flask charges back. If you could bypass that, it would be an insanely powerful node, because then you could stack charges gained on crit on your flasks and have infinite uptime. There is an argument to be made that it could be used while league starting a pathfinder, perhaps, as you might not have "that many buttons to press", but I still think there are more powerful considerations, obviously, so even that I cannot say they were thinking. Perhaps a cooldown on the ascendancy node, but allow the effects to linger for multiple skill uses? Almost a quasi-"warcry" type of thing?
@@Skeleton43 There's a cd on the modifier "Gain a Flask Charge when you deal a Critical Strike" of 100ms (shared across all flask), so you only can gain up to 10 charges each second

@KobeBlackMamba I have been using it on my PF Lightning Arrow, but am probably going to spec out of it.
