Awesome video! I know someone who has just bought a Skyline home, manufactured in mcminnville. I can't wait to see it. Thank you for sharing. 👍👍
When I was married we owned a brand new 1998 Skyline single wide. For 5 years had one problem with kitchen floor from it being moved and they fixed it right away. I miss my mobile home. Plus, I don't see anymore layouts like the one I had it was homey.
Thanks so much for this tour! I am in the market for a manufactured home and it’s interesting to see how they’re made!
beautiful, love the house.
Very interesting...Thank you for sharing.
Wow! Looks better than Clayton homes.
Hi, I really enjoyed this tour. I wish you built a modular version so I can place it on a finished basement, designing a new home now in Oregon.
Nice homes and the video tour was explained well!
Glad you liked it!
when it comes to cleaning snow off the less things sticking threw the roof the better. some places have a ridiculous amount of things sticking out.
Impressive
Is it possible to install rockwool insulation instead of fiberglass? More fire and water resistant.
If you visit factoryexpohomes.com/ you can see what location services your area and give them a call to learn more about the materials and upgrade options available for our homes!
Looks good but insulation is not done well to many slits or holes
Good build except osb floor and 2x2 roof rafters 2 of the most important parts of the build
osb makes a good subfloor
Hi. I really wonder why you don't have STUCCO instead of the ugly siding? That would revolutionize the look of manufactured homes.
Because Stucco isn't common in the PNW, not to mention it wouldn't hold up during the move. It would make the homes look ugly
Ya it would crack like crazy, they have put thought into everything, everything they use is used for a reason
Are there any issues with insurance or certification of occupation if the house is on or off the frame when put on slab or foundation to make it real estate?
Are sheetrock or drywall options or are they the same?
Hello! Please call us at 1-800-856-5574 and we would be happy to answer any and all of your questions in detail. Thanks!
How many inches of insulation do y’all use?
is there a junction box for romex i have a dead middle wall
did I hear him say this factory is in McMinnville, Oregon?
@20:24 smoke alarms need batteries.....
So this building is one that can be moved later on if wanted?
Manufactured homes are prefabricated residence that uses standardized parts constructed and assembled in a factory. It’s then transported, and the set-up is completed on-site. Moving a manufactured home after it has been set up can be a complex and costly process but it's not impossible.
couldn't watch it through. The audio levels were all over the place.
I own a manufactured home and the construction is horrible it pisses me off to no end kazillion of Staples it's ridiculous and that's a fact !
2:14 Ultra-thin fake-wood flooring? Drop something heavy on it, or something hot, and you have a hole instead of a ding that can be sanded out on wood.
14:52 Worker assembling "real wood" cabinets from particle board. Yeah, sawdust is made from wood, but it's a stretch. I'd prefer actual plywood, or even PVC over glued together sawdust.
I was looking at an existing 2001 model but these two things have turned me off to these homes completely.
You can find some that have actual plywood flooring, they'll just cost a little more. But it's 100% worth paying extra imo
