- Cuteness overload alert! He was such a tiny young froglet when I got him, so I waited a couple weeks to introduce you to the newest member of the Solid Gold family. But today's the day for you to meet Gazoo! He's a baby Snowflake White's Tree Frog; making him my first pet tree frog ever. So far he's added a lot of cute to a fish room that's already brimming with cuteness.
I've been planning on getting White's Tree Frogs for one of the vivariums in my fish room for a few months now. I think it's always best to research and prepare as much as possible before you get any new pet and that's just what I've been doing over these past few months. So excited to finally have a White's Tree Frog of my own and to share with you in videos. :)

Your frog gets drunk eye when he eats.
With frogs, they use their eyeballs to push food down their throat. When they close their eyes, the eyes bulge into the mouth and push the food backwards.
Frogs blink like that while eating because it helps them swallow

my niece is terrified of them. I have loved frogs my whole life and have never been afraid. they never bite unless its a pacman frog and even then they have no teeth so it doesn't hurt. I hope u grow to love them.

I really enjoyed your video and Im so glad you enjoy having your White's - I have a pair of Whites and I absolutely love them. FYI my male White's [hes an adult] loves to swim. there is a flowing waterfall [filtered] and about 3-5 inches of water. I have 2 dwarf clawed frogs and a few guppies he swims with. They are also homed with my Fire-bellied Toads and a Green Tree Frog oh and my Colombian Tree Frog!! They all enjoy each other just fine and the fire-bellies will swim and climb right beside my White's. Ive had them all together now for a little over a year.

Awe, I used to have 2 of these guys! They were great, but a little noisy at night. They would croak back and forth, while I tried to sleep. They were named Charlie and Cheechoo. I had them for years.

Generally for the size of insects for reptiles and amphibians you go with the gap between their eyes as to what size of cricket they can eat. Love your new frog as I’ve wanted some for a few years now but very few shops ever have them near me and shipping animals isn’t really much of a thing in the uk. Keep up the good work!!

So cute!
Just a tip on always having small enough crickets. When I order my crickets, I order various sizes because I have animals that have different size requirements, so I order the sizes they need and in addition, I order a batch of one week old crickets that are too small too be used at that time. By the time I start running low on the sizes I'm currently feeding, the one week old crickets have grown to a suitable size to be used for the smaller animals. That is also my trigger to place an new order of all sizes. I never run out size appropriate crickets. 😉

I have had mine for close to 10 years now and he likes tank at 70 to 80 about 50 percent and he never poops on his water he has a corner of his tank and we call his water dish his hot tub cause every night he goes hot tubing from what I understand it helps him get off his old skin ever time it rains out side he gets happy and starts his love song just got 3 red eyes and can't wait for them to get settled in to there new home i hear there very active frogs 🐸

Living in Australia these Guys are native we used to have one visit our house regularly he only had one eye and we affectionately called him Frank
