But is always been like that to me. Thanks to my asset manager Joel he is the man.
That is great to hear!!! Right now Kevin has been getting a feel for things and more clarity on some things, like actually being able to turn down loads if the don't make good sense for time and efficiency. His asset manager actually told him to do that!!! Strangely he has also had a large amount of live loads and unloads. On the website it says company OTR can expect 73% drop and hook. Right now that's almost the percentage of live load or unload on at least one end of a load. He'll be talking to his asset manager about that. Once that is fixed, with the long runs they give him, he should also start getting higher averages above that 3000!!! We are excited about how it is going!!! And we really appreciate you, as a driver for Crete for four years, sharing your experience with us here on the channel!!! Hope to meet you in person sometime soon!!!

It depends on the company. The company I drive for wouldn't leave me sitting for 4 days waiting for a load. They would deadhead me as far as needed. I've deadheaded 500 miles to get a load with this company. A truck sitting is losing money.
@@truckingwithj7202 True, but a sitting truck may lose half or less than one that is rolling with no compensation. When you figure at least $1 per mile just for fuel and wear and tear on the truck, it adds up fast. Kevin does 21 days out as a minimum. He gets one day home time for every six days out. So if he goes 24 days he gets four days. The have different options. You’d need to speak with a recruiter to see what’s available in your area. The number is in description. Good luck.
No. Kevin prefers daytime. You set your own schedule and work with your asset manager, letting them understand how you like to run. We know other drivers who like to drive at night and that’s possible too if you want to run like that. It’s up to you. 😃
Is Crete Carriers a Publicly Traded Company, or are they Strictly Private? In other words, are they on the Stock Market? If so, are the Company Drivers Given An Opportunity To Become An Investor There? I'm just curious about that. Thanks. Stay Safe Out There Truckers. ☺
Crete is privately owned so no publicly traded stock. They are a profit sharing company. All employees with one year or more employment receive a portion of the profit which is put in to their 401k retirement fund. Last year Crete shared $16 million in profit with the employees. Your distribution is based on years of service plus your past years wages. I have 14 years with them and last year’s share was $6 thousand or so. It really helps your retirement grow.
Hey there! It’s an ‘automated manual transmission’. So no shifting required. Kevin runs all over with Crete. As far west as Los Angeles and Seattle and as Far East as New Hampshire. North and South and everything in between. 😃
Not that they mentioned. No one asked Kevin. No one ever said anything about it as far as I know. Best to ask them directly though. As you know all that type of stuff has been very fluid and who knows if it changes.
Yes. 62cpm. That’s OTR States, having to stay out a minimum of 21 days. There had been an additional 2cpm surge pay during pandemic. But that has ended. Crete allows you to do per diem. It would come out of the 62cpm. Kevin decided not to do per diem.
You can turn down loads that are ‘unproductive.’ And, yes, you can determine your drive/sleep schedule. We do! Kevin likes to finish at a reasonable time and generally starts at 6am.

not bad

What’s the home time option for Crete, like how many days out V
Kevin does 21 days out as a minimum. He gets one day home time for every six days out. So if he goes 24 days he gets four days. The have different options. You’d need to speak with a recruiter to see what’s available in your area. The number is in description. Good luck.
@@TheJoyofTrucking thank u
@@k00ltv69 👍😃
Is it a lot of night driving?
@@ramblingbill9101 ..Thanks For The Feedback, Rambling Bill. I Appreciate It Bro. Have A Great Weekend!!!☺
Private. :-))
Thanks for the details!!
How does that pay compare to Werner?
Much better. Here’s a video to give you details. 😃

For the 2800 miles of week 3 OTR what parts of the country were you driving ? Where were your loads to and from generally? Automatic or manual?
Hey there! It’s an ‘automated manual transmission’. So no shifting required. Kevin runs all over with Crete. As far west as Los Angeles and Seattle and as Far East as New Hampshire. North and South and everything in between. 😃
@@TheJoyofTrucking cool
Are the trucks over at crete speed limited?
Yes. 65/68.
How many miles did you get kevin?
Now averaging 3000 miles per week.
@@TheJoyofTrucking thats what i like to hear!
@@texasborntrucker666 Yeah!!!! Us too!!!! 😃😃😃😃
Do I need covid shots for orientation?
Not that they mentioned. No one asked Kevin. No one ever said anything about it as far as I know. Best to ask them directly though. As you know all that type of stuff has been very fluid and who knows if it changes.
So u get .62cpm is that plus per diem or can u get per diem also?
Yes. 62cpm. That’s OTR States, having to stay out a minimum of 21 days. There had been an additional 2cpm surge pay during pandemic. But that has ended. Crete allows you to do per diem. It would come out of the 62cpm. Kevin decided not to do per diem.
Do they do forced dispatch/ let you drive on the same drive sleep schedule everyday?
You can turn down loads that are ‘unproductive.’ And, yes, you can determine your drive/sleep schedule. We do! Kevin likes to finish at a reasonable time and generally starts at 6am.
@@TheJoyofTrucking thanks for the reply! I haven’t watched all of your videos, so forgive me if this is answered in another. Do you and your husband team drive or are you his ride along? My husband and I started team driving for his current company but they never let us take a break together so I just became his ride along. We are doing research on Crete right now!
@@katlynn_b1626 No problem. Hats off to you for driving trucks!! I do not have a CDL. We are not interested in team driving because of exactly what you said. We want to spend time together. And sleep well. 😁😁 So…I’m a passenger. We are very happy with Crete. And there’s lots of Oldtimers and drivers who return. Check out our channel. Lots of info. Feel free to ask us anything else if you don’t see it in the videos. 😃😃😃 And if you decide Crete is a good fit for you and your husband, please be so kind and use our referral code, SLOKEV. We’d appreciate that!!!
That's good . I've drove a lot further for a lot less.
Kevin too. But hopefully never again!!!
How much experience do I need for Crete?…I have about a year but how recent does it have to be?
6-12 months. Kevin will talk about that in tomorrow’s video. So don’t miss it. But we did not ask how recent it needs to be. Darn! You can give Cassidy a call. Number is in description and pinned comment.
How old is the equipment, I mean what year and models are the trucks? And on your paychecks how much they deduct.
Generally 2019 and younger. Freightliners mostly. Some KW. They deduct basics but you choose some of it. Like healthcare and 401K contributions. 😃
How much time on the road do you have to have to drive for Crete?
Thanks for watching! Here’s a video answering that question with details. Hope it helps!
Q&A - Your Questions About Coming to CRETE CARRIER
ua-cam.com/video/KMMdyFgqaEo/v-deo.html
Hey will they hire new drivers? I got my cdl a in December
Hey there!!! Tomorrows video will actually address this question. We weren’t sure either and had a lot of questions from viewers. So Kevin called Cassidy who gave him the details. Be sure to watch. The short version: Yes after 6 months but then with a trainer. Yes after 8 months of coming from certain companies and then no trainer. Yes after a year and then no trainer. Details tomorrow.
They will squeeze you out after six months if you do not become a trainer (I think) IMO
Thanks for your concern. We’ve met lots of drivers who have been with Crete a long time without becoming trainers. They don’t take rookies, so they don’t need a lot of trainers like Werner does for example.
How would they go about that
@@markw6867 cut miles, layovers that last 23hrs, CCC has 1,000 ways to do it and it's all legal :-(
I've been with Crete for 30 years about 16 as an O/O they don't do petty stuff like that .solid company all around
no they wont i worked there 12.5 years they asked me a few times after i told them i wasn't interested they never asked me again. im out now hauling fuel but otr they are ok
sounds like company exects pitchin in coments
I don’t think so. I know most of those subscribers. They’ve been around for many months. Before our move to Crete.

If you ain't making two thousand dollars a week you need a job.
64 cents a mile …jesus, broker pay $1.20 from florida,,, how crete make money?
By making drivers do the T1 Inspections! 😆😆😆😂🤣😂🤣😆 seriously though…Crete does not use brokers. They have solid customers. And it is actually 62cpm plus temporary surge pay that has now ended. ☹️😔😣
I know you have woke experience. I'm curious about other drivers. You satisfied with crete?
