I really like seeing an original frame get touched up, rather than made perfect with a re-spray. As Eguchi-san at CorsaCorsa told me, a bike can only be original once. I am working on a frame from a small Italian Sporting brand and was able to get real water-slide decals made for it. So satisfying to put those on. Thanks again for sharing, especially the great photos.
Hi, if the result is worth it I also try to keep the original color. Unfortunately, in the 90s, there was an effort to "improve" Favorit, and therefore very few of them remained in the original paint. I'm glad to hear you're doing well in your work. If you want to show me what you do, send the photos to the onroad@onroad.cz Thank you for your support.
Beautiful work, again... Incredible brakes, rear derailleur, pedals, original rims and tires... I never seen this set complete... Thanks for the look...
Another great job. I love watching your work for me it’s like looking at a surgical operation but with the hands of an artist. You always do justice to the bikes. I especially like the way you show exactly how to use those Campagnolo tools properly. Teaching me so much, I’m really thankful 😁
Great video as always! Dura Ace Group brings good memories, I had that exact group on my first proper race bike. Even better in action than same era Campagnolo S.R. If I’m honest. (Which I also had) Also very durable and easy to service.
Thank you for watching. I have all the Dura Ace groups up to the 9100, all with rim brake and cables. Unfortunately, my collection does not continue, the 9200 is only in electricity and I do not collect it.
@1:52 I love the double glasses for extra precision. What did you use to wipe down the areas prior to painting? Was it just a degreaser or something to remove abit of surface rust too? Much love from Copenhagen.
Beautiful work! Do you have any recommendations for similar greases as the black one you apply to the bottom bracket threads and bearings? This stuff seems much heavier than more 'regular' bike grease
Hi buddy, Favorit F1Special (in this video)were made of Czech seamless tubes, which were called L-Roll. The F1Super Special was from the Reynolds 531. It was virtually impossible for a normal mortal to get to them. They were produced in small series only for cycling clubs and Super Special only for the national team. That's how it was in Communism and Socialism...

The Favorit Special was at the top of the offer in the 70-80s of the last century. It was the best that was in Czechoslovakia. Thank you for watching the video.

I first saw Favorit in 1980 during my midteens & that was also the last...this restoration really brings back the good old times...thanks
Hi, I do most of the builds in my videos for a whiff of the good old days...
I love the fact that you kept the paint original. Beautiful build ! 👏👏👏
Thank you very much.
Beautiful work, again... Incredible brakes, rear derailleur, pedals, original rims and tires... I never seen this set complete... Thanks for the look...
Díky Kubo!
Love the cloth handlebar tape, super retro touch. I had a couple of bikes back in the day with that tape before Bike Ribbon became popular.
Cloth handlebar tape, Benotto tape and then Bike Ribbon.
I remember it very well, too. Thank you for watching.

Hi my friend, I’m really thankful, that someone watches my video and understands that I'm trying to do my best.
Beautiful build. Thanks.
Thank you very much.

I thought you wouldn 't notice that I have more glasses. :-))) Thank you for your support.
rusty was only one spot, I put a rust remover on it (off the record)
Perfect work, dream bike
Thank you very much! Yes, it was the dream of my youth.

I tried another product from a proven brand. But the white grease looks better in the video...Thanks for watching the video and support.
Para ti ha debido ser un montaje muy especial. Me alegro mucho.
Saludos.
I've seen a few of these Favorit frames on your channel - they look very nice, especially in the blue like this one. what tubing are they made out of?

@@OnRoadVintageBikes thank you - that's really interesting to learn :-)
trust me, the political system here in the UK leaves a lot to be desired!!!
fantastic
Interestingly awesome.
Was it the top-of-the line type?

Красота!
Ваш рассказ про чешские трубы очень интересен.
Из размеры совпадали с Reynolds or Columbus?

Really nice work! I also own a 7200 Dura-Ace (for more than 40 years...), do you know a source for new sprockets to fit in the cassette...? Thanks!
Thank you for your support. They have some new here:

@@OnRoadVintageBikesThanks for your feedback!! But yes, situation with spare parts looks quite bad...🤔

Děkuji za podporu. Na Weinmann pasují naprosto přesně gumy Cane Creek. www.krabcycles.cz/Nahradni-guma-brzdove-paky-Cane-Creek-B144

Děkuji moc za podporu. Textilní omot. je ještě pohodlnej proti plastovému Benottu😂. Díky Bohu za moderní omotávky! Na Fav. páky nevím. Nezkoušel jsem.
What Kind of bar tape it that?
Velox tressostar
Your f1 has a fd hanger. Why doesnt my 1972 have it?
Ah yes, yours also have shifter bosses..
This is a development, gradually the handles were added . At first the frames had no handles and by the end of the 1980s all.
