      I believe that is what mine is. It feels great and I have really enjoyed flat face triggers over the last couple of years.

    I have the 'Special" version of that trigger for Remington 700 clones on my B14 HMR, and it is great. I am too much of a traditionalist to own a flat trigger.

      It is amazing. I am really used to it now with the 9oz or so pull I have it at now. I used to not really think much of the flat triggers but got one for my AR15 and love it. I don't hate curved, just found that I prefer the flat. In my head it feels like I get a more consistent pull. Paper not much different. The B14 HMR shoots great either way.

      Thank you, I appreciate it. Trying to get better at making the videos.
      I instantly get tongue tied while trying to film.
      It was my daughters phone on the charger. So annoying. I will 100% make a video with a pull guage and shooting. I just don't have one right now.

    I went with the Triggertech Remington Special flat version in my HMR and I'm very happy with it. Like you said though the factory trigger is not too bad and if you are just hunting it's probably all you will need.

      Thank you for watching and commenting. You are 100% right on that. Honestly if I were to just use it for hunting. I would have had no issues with it. It really wasn't even bad while grouping. What got me shooting paper was how my finger felt after shooting a ton of rounds. I typically ride my finger along the guard to keep the position the same and that sharp curve just dug in after a while.

    You mentioned that you have the HMR PRO. Thought they came with a triggertech special. You must really love the diamond eh! Awaiting the 2 stage diamond for my bergara with a new 6mm creedmoor SS 26” German walther barrel.

      Na, it's just the regular B-14 HMR. I think I was honestly just kinda nervous on the camera at that point in time.
      I do love the diamond though. Hope the video helps and I appreciate you watching and commenting.
      I'll bet that thing will be one hell of a tac driver with what you have going on it!

      @@caseysammobench yeah 65 pills down range so far. Making bug holes already. Found some NOS Berger’s that are Molly coated. It’s really liking that. I’m sure the groups will close up nicely when I drop in the TT 2stage. Merry Christmas and Stay Safe.
      BTW. Meant to say check your bolt shroud to be sure it’s the newest type. There is a video out showing how to check. Mine failed about 600 rounds in. Think is covered if you contact Bergara. L8er.

      I'd say there's not really a significant difference in accuracy. I think Bergara has a pretty nice trigger to begin with. I just got it on a really good deal, and I like the flat face trigger more for comfort.

    So I installed my TriggerTech 2 Stage Diamond into my Bergara B14R. But it dosent sit in the lock snug? So it wiggles sideways. Have any of you experienced that before? If so what did you do to solve it? is it a faulty product? cause the Bergara trigger sit in completely snug and tight. So im just wondering how its possible.

    • @caseysammobench
      @caseysammobench  22 дні тому

      That is interesting. I haven't experienced that and I tried to do some googling on the subject. There seems to be a lot of broad information on the topic. Is it the trigger portion itself, or the entire drop in? Hope I asked that right. I've seen a little bit of trigger play left and right, but everything else should be snug.

    • @Azlot1000
      @Azlot1000 18 днів тому

      @@caseysammobench Thanks for getting back to me on this matter. Its the entire triggerhouse that wiggles sideways. I went to a gunsmith with my rifle and he had to put in shims bewteen the triggerhouse and the lock itself...?
      Apperently its a "little known" problem with the Bergara B14r. But that have a tendense to do this as the tolerance is larger on the Bergara B14r. It is a Remington700 platform but not entirely.
      I just think its weird to have to shim out the wiggle on a brand new product that is Remington 700 klone.

    What rail is that for the bipod mount and where did get it?

    • @caseysammobench
      @caseysammobench  3 роки тому +1

      It's the MIM mfg Swivel Rail Adapter. I got it on Amazon cost is about 45 dollars. Seems to be built pretty tough. It's not plastic which is really nice. I'd say the only complaint I have is how unnecessarily far the rail sits from the stock. Or I guess how thick it Is.
      For that being the one complaint, I'm being pretty knit picky. Doesn't seem to have any negative effects while shooting and it's sits on the stock with a very solid placement .

    The slot in the action of my Bergara B14 HMR is .010" under the spec'd dimension of .305", plus or minus .002". I'm going to have to shell out $80 to $120 to get the slot opened up. Another Bergara quality control gaff.

    You do know you don't need to cycle the bolt every single time you dry fire it right?? Just lifting the bolt handle resents the pin.

    Hi Casey, I just ordered a Trigger for my HMR too. When you replace it, does it matter, to which side you push out the pins?🤔

    • @caseysammobench
      @caseysammobench  3 роки тому +2

      Congratulations on the new trigger! I'm not actually 100% sure if it matters as long as the pins are set. However, I'd have to recommend to put them in at the same orientation they were when you pulled them out.
      BTW I'm looking at posting another longer distance video on Saturday. Got caught up in the rat race of life and haven't made it out in a while.

      @@caseysammobench I'll try to think remind it, when I am there. Yes we have some cool ranges here. In Denmark is a 2 mile range, where I want to go some day, but not with a 308😉 But every of these ranges is like 500 miles away, so I have to go there for a weekend or so.

      @caseysammobench  3 роки тому +1

      @lukas that would be cool as hell. Also I here the Calvin elite is one beautiful trigger. You should be able to get different trigger attachments too. I'm really getting used to the flat one and love it though.
      I should be doing a video out to 600yds and some seating depth testing on the rounds I made. I found the hardest part of re loading for the bergara is the mag length really limits what I can do compared to the chamber depth.

      Idk man. It is just rubber pads that it's resting in. Maybe it sounds worse with the hammer, but there is no direct impact either.

      I was thinking the same thing. 2 nuts and you remove the scope rather than twisting ît because you're rapping a mallet against the pins. It's for precision and it's glass, that was definitely a faux pas. Learn from constructive criticism it's meant to help .

    • @caseysammobench
      @caseysammobench  Рік тому

      You are right, my scope is not anchored down in the vice. It's just upside-down in the Tipton with the rubber stops tightened down on the stock.

    Hi, I read that the minimum pull should not be set under 2.8 lbs on a Bergara because of the heavy firing pin. I did also read, that the bolt release can be removed from the trigger since it is pretty useless in these rifles. Now, I am new to all of this and I'm not sure exactly what that means but I am researching tons of info and asking questions to learn more. I will also talk about this with my local gunsmith so he can show me what it all means.
    I will primary use this rifle to hunt.I just want to be sure that this won't be an issue and that it won't make the rifle unsafe. If I am to drop the rifle on a hunt I can't have it go off on its own. I hope I don't sound like an idiot writing this.

    • @caseysammobench
      @caseysammobench  2 роки тому +1

      I'm not sure about the heavy firing pin thing and that having to do much with the trigger pull weight. But I'm definitely not a gunsmith either.
      I would say 2.8 to 3.5 lbs is a pretty safe weight for hunting and if I am going to be walking around the woods with it I would 100% raise the pull weight on mine to that. Right now I'm just shooting steel and paper with it though.
      I have a lever gun a bit more suited for where I am in GA. I'm not really seeing any deer at more than 50yds.
      I hope this answer helps.

      @@caseysammobench Thanks for the info! That was my thought exactly that if I am to going to use it for hunting, that I don't drop it below like 2.5-3.5. I have read a lot of comments on blogs about people using the triggertech at 10oz give or take without a problem, but they don't seem to be using it to hunt. I already purchased the diamond version. I think I am going to have to return it and buy the trigger tech special which can be adjusted from 1.5-3.5 lbs.
