As much as I love Kane... there's no way he should be in the NHL100 over Joe Thornton and Jerome Iginla. He's a very good and deserving player but these guys are retiring in the next few years and they are guaranteed to be in the HHof, just my thoughts
Jamie Benn it takes a good regular season to make a great post-season... Jumbo Joe and Iggy destroyed the regular season and completely turned around their franchises much like Kane did. They are all deserving but I'm confused about the NHL's decision.
Based on current status and projection. Points wise, obviously he hasnt gotten to their level yet, but his post season career blows both of their out of the water. But by the time Kane finishes his career, assuming he avoids serious injury, he'll be a lot better than both Joe and Iggy. Plus you also have to consider what theyve done for the imagine of the game. Hockey still isn't nearly as popular as the MLB or NFL in the US, but compared to 10 years ago the NHL is doing so much better in terms of popularity, and guy like Toews, Kane, and Crosby are huge reasons for that. Thats why they're constantly in the top 5 for jersey sales and guys like Joe and Iggy arent.
