    Hello!! I was wondering how you were able to trace your art onto the wood! Is the paper you used able to bleed through or was it a different technique? I ADORE your use of color and how elegant the line weight is by the way!! ❤

      i like them to be still affordable for those who can't spend a lot of money tho. there are a few limited and more expensive ones that are signed and numbered. pricing is really not easy for me 😅

      yes, exactly. but it's acryla gouache, so it will not reactivate with water once dry..

    Lovely art! What do you use as a base on your wood panel? More gouache? Also does the gouache reactivate if you try to layer it?

    • @samiraingold
      @samiraingold  5 місяців тому

      hey, first I used gesso and then a watered down acrylic paint. what i‘m using is acryla gouache.. the difference is it won’t reactivate with water but has the same matte finish as gouache :)

    Stunning. Is this only gouache? I’ve worked with it only once - and don’t know how to use. It dries fast & you can’t paint over it?

    So beautiful. I have no idea how you can draw so tiny lines with such a calm hand. I got a question, why the mix of acrylics and acryly gouache. Why not only Acrylics?

      thank you 🤍 honestly.. because i got a set of new acryla gouache and wanted to use them 😅 but i had already started the painting with acrylics. plus, the acrylics i have are more on the fluid side and i enjoyed the thicker consistency of the gouache for the render part. if i would have thicker acrylics i could have used those :)

    I would be so nervous at the thought of painting a large piece with my acrylic gouache since I would be afraid of wasting it, but I AM more comfortable using it than regular acrylics so maybe it would even out.

    • @samiraingold
      @samiraingold  6 місяців тому

      i did the washes and first layers with regular acrylics, and then went in with acrylic gouache for the opaque layers and details.. also i'm using a wet palette, that helps a lot with the waste.
      thanks a lot for watching :) 🧡

      so i printed the linework with a poster app on A4 paper and taped it together, then placed some saral transfer paper between painting surface and linework and went over it with a ballpoint pen.
      you can re use the same sheet a lot of times.. a.co/d/gM4gZaI
      after that i went over the traced linework with a light wash of orange acrylics to seal it and get rid of the white gesso background.
      hope that helped :) 💫

      most of them i bought at a local art store.
      recently i got sended a pack of brushes by artify, they are pretty nice to work with. plus they are fairly affordable :)
      they gave me a 10% off code for the 12pc watercolor brushes. it's rain10off if you are interested in getting them 🌱

      if you enjoy to doing art you should do it imho. if you do it more often, eventually you will like the outcome more.. for me, i always have to put the things aside after i finish them, because i can't look at it anymore and don't like it at all. after a while i start to like it more again 🤷‍♀️
