I Made a Supercar with the Weirdest Engine Ever? | Automation Game & BeamNG.drive

- What's interesting about the new 4.2.23 update of Automation. You can make an engine with the bore maxed out and the stroke minimized. With this build, I made a knockoff Audi R8 called the Tardi UR L8 with a 2.5L V8 making 198 HP. About this "tiny" engine, its bore measures at 120mm and the stroke at 28mm. Making this one of the strangest engines I've ever made.

“aluminum siliCONE”
Silicon and silicone are two different things
metalliod vs. adhesive
More like Silly Cone 😂
Ah that explains so much, I've always been pondering how one element can be so rubbery and hard at the same time but now it's clear as day
@@STRIDER503_sub goofy ahh cone
also its aluminium...
Now, how about the smallest bore and the longest stroke?
Yeah, and everything else the way it is here, then we can compare!
@trize that would be very interesting!
Redline: 350rpm
Ah yes, toothpick piston
It's got a nice personality ok
25k rpm 😦
Could have tuned it for way more high end power with some adjustments
Yep, that little stroke means this thing could have revved to the moon
At this point it's like 2 sport bike engines wedged together. Rev that thing past 10.
The whole reason for building an engine of this type would be high revs, I’m curious how high it could safely rev
I don't think it would Rev that high. Piston weight would become a limiting factor.
Especially if he didn't restrict the hell out of the intake and exhaust manifolds, I can't wait to get a gaming computer and those two games so I can try fixing all of the mistakes I've seen UA-camrs make when building an engine.
@@robertpeters5871 F1 engines dont have restrictive exhaust afaik
Strangely enough, conrod length would make a huge difference in rpm range with coffee can pistons. Longer rods (and higher block deck) would lessen the dynamic imbalance of the rotating assembly, allowing for construction of lighter material, assuming no forced induction or overly high compression ratio. I learned this from viseo racer
@@davidelzinga9757 Problem is that adds weight, which at 10K+ RPM that tiny bit of weight is under an insane amount of G forces.
It has to be strong enough to hold but light enough to not come apart at speed.
bet that nokia made them conrods
Those conrods are made of bedrock or something😂
they dont move because of the incredibly short stroke
bedrock isn’t that strong irl
(ps, I’m ready for all the nerd emojis)
I´ve seen this comparison before XD
@@leafext “🤓”-🤓
@@leafext They ment minecraft bedrock
With a 28mm stroke, why would you not set the rev limit to 20,000?
The rpms could have been cranked way up.
You should have made it rev to 12k with that bore stroke ratio
been looking for a game like this for quite some time now thank you 🙌🙌
"UR L8" that's clever and so hilarious 😂
0:35 Prediction: This engine will rev faster than my KLX300SM.
How does this dude only have 6k subs? Great video BTW
biggest bore and smallest stroke is actually what f1 cars use and also some other vehicles
That motor's profile is bested by the Ford Duratec 25, in SVT trim it makes more power at a lower RPM, and more torque everywhere. I'm kind of surprised you went with a 60-degree V, as 8 cyl are most balanced at 90.
If it makes more torque everywhere it also proportionally makes more power everywhere. Why do people complicate this stuff? Not a dig at you but just saying it's weird to phrase it as though torque and power are somehow seperate.
Great video bro
I love how that V8 sounds so similar to a McLaren P1
To anyone who doesn't know, this is how F1 engines are, they have a sizeable bore with 1/4 the stroke length compared to regular cars, this (along with other components) is what gives these engines the ability to rev up to 20,000 rpm and still make power.
Large bore let's you put bigger valves in but more stroke would obviously make more power
Large bore and small stroke is just rly good for high rpm engines right? I tried sth similar once and got it all the way maxed 12k rpm
You could get 600hp from this engine no problem still being NA
I mean yeah if you make the internals really expensive run in on race fuel raise the redline to 13000 make the cam profile insane raise the compression to something silly etc, but you could do the same to any engine.
Alternative engine: VW I4 1.9 TDI
The style reminds me of a meme I just came up with in the middle of writing this comment:
“Mom can we get Audi R8?”
“No we have Audi R8 at home”
😂
The element sili-CON, as in CON-man. Sili-CONE, as in traffic CONE, is a elastic polymer containing the element silicon. Sorry, that is a pet peeve of mine.
Less than 200 hp.. supercar?
try an 18L v16 in a 2015 bug, freakin scary that
I do max bore min stroke all the time lol
far from optimal but i guess it works if you dont need to make it fit somewhere, as bore increase block size but the stroke is barely affecting it
So a high capacity f1 engine
This thing should rev to like 20k lol
max bour + min stroke = F1 engine so no that aint strange, but does need the idle at 3k and redline at 16k
What year is the body style?
its slower than my main car and faster than my backup car. IRL
both being inline 4 2.0l engines.
first thing that came in mind from that thumbnail was nfs carbon
Tatra 603 has V8 2,5 liter
You also made a five ring Audi logo. I do the same, because it's easier.
So you made a Mopar 383?
What sim/game is this?
Wee need a flat piston flat engine.
you're definitively italian, am i right? ahahah
Open up the exhaust to like two and a half inch or 3 in
its like the gra v obey car hahahah
Prediction: it'll Rev out to space
why did bro use a 60 degree v8
why do you extend RPM to far beyond peak power?
because noise
And because if you have peak power at max RPM you mostly have to shift before it or while the limiter is dancing around it. You get better control over using your peak power by having it around 500RPM before the redline.
I feel like it would rev at like 12k rpm lol
A 28mm stroke can safely rev all the way to 24k rpm. Too bad flame can go any faster than the piston does
@@calvinnyala9580 a real f1 engine with that stroke would barely fit a finger in the chamber when the cylinder is bottom out so the problem of flames traveling is negated
If you make a mk 2 you should call it Tardi UR “2” L8. Is it really going to need launch control and why are you getting rid of oversteer? I think you should go to the doctor, you’re clearly not feeling well.
Ridicuwous
Worlds crappiest r8. You would be an excelent engineer😆
I'd buy that car! For 32k.
Tarty you are late lmfao 😂😂 dad joke of the year 🤣🤣🤣😁👍
1.5 hour just to look like R8 😂
lol ahahahahahah
Wanna be r8… do you mean a ttrs 😂
you DID NOT use the engine you created to its full potential
ehmmm an Audi r8 has an Carbon Ceramik Brake xDDD
f1 in a nutshell
aUdI R8
FAIL! i was expecting 10,000 RPM at least
bro that's not an Audi r8 that's an Idua R7.9 💀
All hp no torque
I mean not really. It's fine.
Disappointingly little power out of that V8...
Considering my Lexus with a 4.0L V8 makes 260hp, 200 from a 2.5L is not bad at all.
The 2533cc V8 has a specific power of 78hp/L, that is not bad at all. Not top of the line power, but nowere close to bad.
@@kj64gaming19 yes but Mclaren make a 4.0 V8 with 824bhh, Mercdes make a engine that has half the cylinders and is only 2L in size rather than 2.5 and it makes over twice as much power. Koeinigsegg make a 2L 3 cylinder with 600bhp. Just because Lexus can’t make power with big engines doesn’t mean that this tiny fictional V8 isn’t insanely underpowered compared to what’s out there
@@lbnewell23 I think you're getting it wrong. All 3 engines you mentioned were turbocharged. This engine, along with my Lexus, is naturally aspirated. You can push over 1000HP out of even the smallest engines using superchargers and turbochargers. It's pretty hard to get a small V8 to put out more than 350 or so HP. Yeah there are really big V8s that make a lot of power like the 6.2L in the MB SLS AMG and the 5.5L in the new Corvette Z06, but an engine smaller than 4L is hard to cram lots of power into. Also keep in mind my Lexus is from the 90s. The Ford Mustang GT and Chevy Camaro SS from the time only had 225 and 275 HP, respectively. These engines were both larger than my Lexus's and produced similar power. I also find it ironic that you call a 4.0 V8 a "big engine." Oh and if you're gonna claim that Lexus can't make powerful engines, how does 472HP from a NA 5.0 V8 sound to you?
@@kj64gaming19 well as a European the majority of cars don’t have engines bigger than 4L so that is why I called it a big engine. And I obviously know that all those engines are turbocharged. The original comment was saying that the V8 in the video didn’t make much power. Well rectify it by turbocharging it. You’re reply was simply saying that 200bhp was good because your Lexus can make a bit more with a larger engine this is no justification when there are many modern na cars that have well over 400bhp and quite a few with over 500 with the same displacement as your Lexus which is why it holds no relevance, the video is about making a modern supercar, how does a 90’s Lexus’ engine mean the one in the video is good. And obviously again I know that you’re not in a modern car because no car manufacturers would be stupid enough it release such an underpowered V8 in todays market.
And 472 from 5 litres is quite good. Not nearly the highest specific output of na engines but it’s not underpowered for its size.
As I knew your car was not modern when I said Lexus can’t make power out of such a large engine I should’ve said Lexus and many other brands couldn’t get power out large engines because bmw could make 400 from 4.9 litres which is much more than the cars you mentioned so even if we’re looking at the same time period as the one you were talking about still 260 or whatever it was is not amazing.
most boring car that makes you have a stroke
You made an f1 engine .
