I've got 4 Sinns (556a, 356, 856, 105 utc) and the 105 has been my daily driver for 3 years now. Its like a Rolex explorer 2 reimagined with German design language. Looks 5x as good as you're expecting to in person. Built like a tank, and super thin for a sporty GMT watch. It's perfect.
Nice review of a really great piece. Sinn is a grail brand for me. I was originally drawn to the 856/57s, but have been gravitating toward the 105s for the last year or so. I look at a U50 as a great piece of engineering, but it is so austere for daily wear. The 105 hits the sweet-spot between between a Sinn and being wearable in the world. I got a little hit of 105 aesthetics when I got a RZE Ascentus last year, and while that is a great watch (all the more so for the price), it is not a Sinn. *sigh* I’ll keep waiting, and living vicariously through my fave UA-cam watch influencers. Thank you for featuring this one.
Thanks so much, I think I would enjoy “booze with Nick” 😆. Top tip though, Sinn can be had for bargain pricing second hand so go in and negotiate in your local forums…
Nice review. I’m a new subscriber. I’d buy this watch in a heartbeat IF the UTC hand had a black stem and an orange arrowhead. I find the entirely orange UTC hand distracting when quickly glancing at the time, just as I do when looking at the Tudor Black Bay Pro, which has a similarly bright UTC hand. I own a Sinn 104, and I believe it’s best feature is the extreme legibility of the hands at a quick glance, day or night. Anyway, keep up the good videos!
@@leeroyjenkins7141 there is Define watches in Noosa, they stock a lot of Sinn watches. I think the Longines is slightly more interesting long term but that’s just me 🙂
This watch looks very cool. I like my Sinn 556 A because of it‘s boringness and it’s legibility. The lume is poor. That is true. So I love my Damasko DS 30 a bit more.😀🕐🍸🍸
Great to see the 105s getting some attention, but I have to say that for me the one to get in this series is the white day-date. I don't care much for the GMT implementation and dislike the more shouty bezel on the GMT.
@@EsbjornWristwatchReviewsI think these differences of opinion demonstrate why these products exist and keep collecting fun. Nonetheless, I've had to conclude recently, after trying my first modestly sized diver that very probably any sporty tool watch with a functional bezel isn't going to feel quite right to me. This one at 41mm is likely to sit really large and quite high for me, but I'd love to try one to test the theory and to experience Sinn.
@@benjaminvis agreed, there are so many options, tastes and and budgets out there and there is literally something for everyone! I used to like larger watches but now prefer no larger than 40mm. This Sinn wears a little smaller than it’s specs suggests but they certainly have many other options available 😊👍🏻
Beautiful watch but Artem arent canvas straps. They have synthetic upperside and are 2x overpriced😜I saw a photo on watchuseek and they broke like plastic after some time
Thank you! I have some older Artem straps that are in amazing shape, probably will outlive me and I wear them diving sometimes. Perhaps someone was particularly brutal with theirs?

Hi! How has the bezel scratched after 3 years?
You made me buy the Traska venture (awesome watch) and now I want to replace my 556i for this one. Looks amaing! Thanks for the awesome review.
Thanks for watching! And my apologies to your wallet 😉

Thanks, your video and seeing this great watch in person tipped me over the edge and picked one up in the EU :)
@@hammalamiri12 lovely, thanks for sharing 😊👍🏻
I receive mine tomorrow and I'm really excited!
Brilliant watch 🙂
Thanks for the detailed review. Is the lume as good as a Seiko Prospex Lume?
Thanks, hard to say but I think it lasts as long but perhaps not as bright initially

Thanks for being here, and for the feedback 🙂
Agreed. I’d also buy in a heart beat if they hadn’t traded the Day for “UTC.” That was dumb.
Just bought this model with a silicone strap today. Sinn USA. 2100 USD.. This watch rocks. Your video pushed me over the edge to buy, Thank you
Thanks for watching and enjoy your new watch 🙌
i like vertical day/date. something different!
One can argue about the looks and boringness level, not on the build quality though. Sinn watches are incredibly well made.
💯
Torn between this and the Longines spirit Zulu time. Do you still have this Sinn? Shame there are no dealers in Australia to go try them on at!

@EsbjornWristwatchReviews ok, good to know! I have tried on the spirit Zulu and love it.

If you don’t think the Sinn U50 and the 105UTC are among the greatest watches ever made, you are hopeless!
Let's keep it nice around here...
@ Yes, sir.
I’d buy in an instant if they hadn’t traded the Day for “UTC.” That was dumb.
I prefer it to the vertical day thing they got going on with the non UTC model but each to their own which is a great part to this hobby!
