In the machine shop, the equivalent is a 1-2-3 block, or a 2-4-6.

Pancake, 1/4, 1/2 and Full. LA, Chicago/Texas and New York. That memory takes me back to my younger days in my first jobs. 😂

Flat, half, or full. Like @chetleonard169 except that a pancake was a square of plywood.

Apple boxes are ubiquitous in the photography and movie industries, as well as useful tools in workshops, for propping up equipment, scenery, projects, lighting, humans, etc. There's more info in the main video, linked from this one. 👍

If you use bench pucks in your shop, think of Apple Boxes as bench pucks you can stand on, or even set a car on to get the right perspective for your perfect photo or video shot. Or if you have an uneven floor, and the 1" size lets you support the floating corner of your bandsaw or table saw, it can help reduce injuries.
