This is why Anton du Beke is the ballroom master. Simple, understated choreography, fantastic storytelling no tricks or gimmicks and danced superbly. Anton's best dance on strictly since his tango to Lady Gaga's "Telephone" with Katie Derham
My wife thinks that Anton beautifully choreographed this to get such a wonderful performance ! And Emma, well that girl can act !!Altogether breathe taking. Her dress was the costume of the night ! Superfluous !!
Emma has officially entered the competition this dance was gorgeous she's so elegant and the routine was beautifully done if she keeps this up i could see her in the finals and maybe even end up winning it all people do love a journey after all incredible dance 9/10
@Gold Rose I don't think he's smug i feel he's just not used to having a good partner since he's dealt with partners like A** W*ddecombe and Susannah Constantine. I see him trying more this season in fact a couple weeks ago i felt he tried way too hard and challenged Emma a little too hard if they keep going at this pace Emma could be his partner to take him to the glitterball
If this had been the final and this had been their dance - i think they would have won.

I'm getting the feeling this will be Anton's last season and that's why they gave him Emma as a way to go out on a high because with Dev out i think Emma could be a lock for the finals and if they play their cards right in the finals Emma could win it all even if she's not the best dancer just look at Stacey Dooley last year

Nah - don't believe it. He's not like that, he loves Strictly and always performs to the best of his ability no matter who he's partnered with, he plays to their strengths AND weaknesses ;) This VW is really beautiful though.
Her acting in this truly made this performance. I have watched it countless times, and each time tears appear.
At last Anton has really good partner in Emma he's a brilliant dancer and finally he can show itgood luck to both of them😃😃😃😃

WOW. Who knew that Anton could do dramatic? This was one of his best choreographies ever, and he really got Emma to shine. And if she made any mistakes, I certainly didn't see them. 10!
He has always been able to do it, but just never had a partner as good as Emma
Can I just give a shoutout to the amazing Strictly singers? Because this is a notoriously difficult song and the singer absolutely NAILED it. I feel like they don’t get enough appreciation.
The comments on the DS forum last night gave the singers a very hard time, but the singer really nailed this one, just the right amount of emotion to go with the storyline of the dance.

And she has ARRIVED, Emma is without a doubt a ballroom girl and I think this week displayed it beautifully. She clearly felt a connection to the story that she was trying to portray which I’m going to put down to the fact that she played a part in the choreography. Overall a stunning dance to a stunning song in a stunning gown, an overall stunning performance. 9/10

I don't know how many times I'm going to watch this. It was soooo beautiful and elegant and they have some real chemistry which makes it's even more gorgeous. And I love Anton's happy little face!

Absolutely FABULOUS, the fleckel was one of the best ever on the show from Emma, the foot rotations were great and her topline is exquisitely beautiful. Emma and Anton really played the character well and had beautiful pivots too, so classy and sophisticated. 100% a breakthrough dance for Emma she was dancing tonight, even better than Katie Derham's Viennese Waltz I think, Anton you have a Finalist I believe so take her and work wonders. *9/10*

Absolutely stunning. I'm not sure exactly what she's known for, but if it isn't acting then she should take it up because she sold that performance alone with her character. Technique wise this is the best she's ever been. She glided along the floor perfectly. Love it. (8)
Feel like I should answer what's she's famous for. She's a well-known theatre & tv actress.
So pleased this dance got such good Mark's. Also this must be Antons highest score ever. Hoping they will get tens in other dances
It's tied with his highest score if you're not counting his Christmas special VW with Denise Lewis

Anton is pulling the right cards. Any other year this would be a leaderboard topping dance.
Footwork can be improved but the flekyl pivoting and topline were great.

They were at the top of the ledder board till somebody got a slighty higher score you could see they were delitated to be 3rd on the leader board they are doing well

Loved every second - beautifully choreographed and executed - brought a lump to my throat watching it the first time round, and still does. Wonderful, wonderful dance. Well done Anton & Emma.

I love how well-matched their outfits are. I think Costume do a brilliant job of blending a celebrity's clothes to the professional's clothes.

I like the acting. Idk about the choreography but Emma danced this routine very well
The difference in Anton's Ballroom and Latin Choreo is obvious. He really knew how to make Emma glow here. She kept to his right, nice head position and loved the hand on his arm - nicely presented. It was a little skippy at times so I'd give an 8.
I think he should seek assistance with the latin dances aside he's choreographed some good latin dances like his Rumba and Argentine Tango with Katie was fairly good and he did a good Paso Doble with Laila Rouass and Lesley Garrett and he can choreograph some competent Jives it's the sexier dances like Salsa, Samba, and Cha Cha Cha where he struggles. He got Salsa done with Emma and did well with it just hope can cope with the Samba and Cha Cha Cha because i'm sure Emma is going to nail her Rumba and Argentine Tango

Beautiful Fleckerl, proper footwork, none of the tippy toes stuff that most of the celebs end up doing. I didn't enjoy the arrangement of the song as a VW because of the changes in tempo, and I thought it fed their dramatic characterisation more than it did the actual dancing. I would have enjoyed a straight VW with plenty of natural and reverse turns, but Emma did a good job.
I'm really starting to think she could actually win! She was the highest scoring woman that night, and that equals Anton's highest ever score...in week 4!
Edit: Okay, so maybe no glitterball, BUT...the only woman in the final and Anton's first 10s. She's a winner in my book. 💖💖

I loved this song by Judy Collins! It reminds me of singing in the mirror at home because I had a jewellery box with a ballerina that used to wind up and play this tune! I used to practice my operatics voice to this!
It’s a song from 1975 from a musical a little night song and about crazy people!

So emotional, such a soft quality of movement. It was a really touching Viennese Waltz. They both acted their parts outstandingly well. It was without any doubt Emma's best dance yet. Fabulous frame, gorgeous spins, lovely arms. She needs to work on her upper body though, I wanted to see much more sway and I spotted one or two foot errors. Technically, it could have been even stronger but emotionally and artistically it was so, so touching and almost magical. A 7.
Loved the dance but should’ve been more dancing involved - it was once found the dance floor then great acting but again more dancing which she’s totally capable of!

The new series has too much clapping & background noise from the audience ,during the dance ? I like the music & singing plus the production is superb. The US version is too hyped up. The UK show is the best.
Hated the song but nice viennese waltz! Can't recall with Katie, but I don't think Anton's ever had scores this high! I like her better than Katie though.
