Good job representing nj Natives. I’m a gardener from Monmouth county whom pushed natives on Custumers as well. I’m in my 30s Love to be a gardener but I feel people under value our trade. My family just stop asking when I was going to get a real job. Thank you again for your content
Thank you for your comment, so glad you found the video helpful. Gardens are a paradise not only for the gardener but also for the many pollinators they support.
Thanks for commenting Margaret. Unfortunately, unless gardeners take the time to seek out the information, they don't know. We need to rely on gardeners like you to spread the information.
@@NativePlantChannel I’m new to all of this and trying to learn as much as possible. The message has come across loud an clear from multiple sources that I shouldn’t do “fall clean-up.” What I’m curious about is whether you ever clean up the dead stuff and, if so, when is it safe to do that?
@@Pipsquacky If you can wait till June ..anything hibernating in the debris would be up and foraging. A pile of stones , a pile of long logs , a pile of leaves...and if you put a tarp over them the hibernating creatures have added shelter
I love seeing a video filmed in late Fall!
Since i started planting native plants, I've enjoyed my garden so much more. It is no longer just a pretty design, it's alive!
Are these plants native to canada also?

The fact that fall cleanup is so detrimental to the pollinators should be put on blast. People just don't know this.
