Adding a brushless motor increases performance to another level (not easy). Furitek Integration ESC, 3s, and paired to a Komodo motor is a different beast! My favorite TRX4M build by far.
I Install a Furitek Cedar brushless motor in this transmission and the set screw on the pinion gear rub inside the trans gear. You have to reverse the pinion gear on motor but I wasn't able or put a shim between motor and transmission case.ua-cam.com/video/ynHqa3Xvk6E/v-deo.html
@@samintrepid i was able to flip the pinion around on the cedar motor and install it in the 2 speed. its really the best setup you can get on the trx4m.
Slow crawl is awesome! That is one of the biggest limitations for the stock Trx4m. I avoided getting crawler gears though, because it robs you of wheel speed for trailing. This solves the issue.
Awe man! I was hoping you installed it into the stock chassis…… I was interested in the look and fit there, not in this CF one. However I see the want in this build…. It’s sick
Wow! Overall, what an amazing build. The whole thing looks exceptional. The wheel and tire combo=mean! The Meus trans is truly impressive and a great deal. Great videos as always! 🤜🤛
I like the whole set up that you put together on the TRX4-M great looking set up crawls very well with the 2 speed Meus Transmission, great review i like the video.
Thanks for the video! I love my 4M's, but by far the worst part about the truck is the gearing options especially with stock electronics. In my tarantula I'm running a cedar motor on 3s with crawler gears, and my high trail has an fcx24 trans using a 3D printed skid. Good to see the aftermarket stepping up with more options. Now the question is who's going to figure out how to combine the 370 motor and 2 speed???
@CapeCrawlers Just subscribed, so stoked on your content! Looking to get a mini comp crawler and was totally sold on the CR18P Evo Pro.. until I saw this build!😍 Any idea if the IR40 body will fit on the Evo Pro? Thanks!
wish it fit the scx24 had my scx24 for a few years. i got the fcx24 blazer a couple months ago and love the 2 speed. been thinking about putting a fcx24 trans in my scx24
I really like the look at this injora and seen another yt where he built one completely out of injora parts. This is an interesting rig.. at what point does it not become a trx4m and becomes an injora24? I think I was partial to the single speed with that injora esc. i have a 2 speed and everytime I switch over and if I'm on a hill, there is enough slop where it falls back. So, pro's and cons as always in this hobby right? Thanks for the vid!
Man I wanted one of these thanks for the info now I don’t want on unless they change the gearing was hoping for a contender for the fms that sucks hope they come out with different gearing for a single speed to out run a two speed 😢
I would like to visually see why it wont work in the ripper chassis. If it means just not having the interior plate due to height and not having to trim any cage bars, I would go for it in mine.
I have a set of titanium Team Losi drivers and they have never stripped a screw head out. Over 10 years of use and the drivers still look brand new too.
You have two options: 1) use the manual shifting mechanism (comes with the kit) and keep the stock radio 2) use a micro servo to shift gears and use an aftermarket remote The Traxxas radio doesn’t have an extra switch for the servo to do electronic shifts
Awesome setup. I wish the 4m came with a 2 speed, like the fms rigs, but it's good to know there's an option out there. I would like to see the wheel speed with the injora 48t pro motor. Bet that would pep it up.
Have u tried the hot racing ultra low 60:1 gearing? Been searching for videos on it but none that I can find. Want to see it compared to the standard 40:1 low range gears
If I remember correctly, Meus said explicitly that the 370 would not fit. Not sure if thats changed or not, but I remember the incompatibility when this was first released.
If you are using the MB100 ESC and not running a 3S LiPo you are losing performance. Spektrum 850mAh 30c batteries fit the stock battery tray with a slight modification. They last longer and provide improved performance. There is no reason not to upgrade.
Great video as always! I have the body and some other goodies on order and I can't wait. Have you seen the chassis by @Oppai_Factory made for this body? I have one on order now....
I still will outrun, outcrawl, and outpull (30lbs) with a single speed furitek setup. After doing the math, from scratch it would cost the same to furitek it as it would to 2 speed with the stock motor, a good esc and radio, and you would not have 3x the runtime you have with brushless. Now 2 speed brushless would be an absolute king i think.

Any possibility for doing the MEUS trailing arm kit review?

And. The cedar?
@@valledecauca1087 As you can see in my video, the cedar motor are really fast in second gear, much faster and more trq than the bruhed injora 48t.
@@samintrepid i was able to flip the pinion around on the cedar motor and install it in the 2 speed. its really the best setup you can get on the trx4m.
ive got the meus racing 2 speed on a furitech 2s brushless lizard pro and tornado combo
Oh man! I knew someone was gonna come out with an answer for the 2 speed competition
I found shock o-rings give a clean wire management option. If you don't want zip tie blocks hanging around

Just added this to my trx4m, waiting for the new radio to hook up the shifting servo. What a neat invention!

This is the best looking trx4m i ever see , good job man!
Should try the oppai factory chassis with that IR40. Incredible upgrade for that body.
Got this same setup and could not figure out the springs for the servo so for now it’s manual but very awesome transmission
& I thought Injora did a great job, giving us a big ass 2 speed motor for the M, this Meus version looks more technical than Injora's, honestly. Lol
Just bought a trx4m high trail and spent 80$ on injora using your discount👌🏽
Awesome! 👍🏻👍🏻
Dont forget the overdrive and underdrive gears for the diffs from injora.
Yea snow here in the berkshires only 8 out there today been working on my mini also
This is what we need and needed 😊
Can l change the second gear to more faster setup ?
lol my trx4m has 4 servos on it. Front and rear steering, winch and now the transmission

Will the Furitek brushless motors work with this transmission?
Very cool rig but I can’t help wonder… with all those new parts, when does it stop being a trx4m? 😅
Would like to see if you pick up any performance with the injora 180 pro motor
Nice! Do you need the one with their motor or the gearbox only should work with the Traxxas motor?
I really like the look at this injora and seen another yt where he built one completely out of injora parts. This is an interesting rig.. at what point does it not become a trx4m and becomes an injora24?

Was gonna try this out with some meus portals but After seeing the speed I think, straight injora axles with the fast diff gears ⚙️ 🤔

does this exist for the scx24 aswell?
finally found a use for emaxs
I love your channel and I'm thinking about getting a trx4m ford bronco so do you think you could post more videos on it
Pls
Hey man, have you used the MEUS trailing arms yet for the rear setup ? If so, how do they compare to normal suspenion ?
I have them sitting on my bench but haven’t used them. I may put them on the new mb18 build
You want to stop stripping screws? Ditch the hex wrenches and use T5/T6 torx bits.
I have a set of titanium Team Losi drivers and they have never stripped a screw head out.
Over 10 years of use and the drivers still look brand new too.
@@saltysteel3996 Nice. I meant T6 and t8 anyway and a too lazy too track down my comment. Never using hex again
I want to see how you build a course.
Nice can you do a video of a budget build for 60 dollars please for the scx jlu thank you
How did you set the end points for the servo on the shifter?
Nice gear box.
Injora purple 48t would be perfect for the 2speed, the 87t Meus motor is way too slow.
My thoughts exactly. I plan on buying this and seeing what it can do. Even on totally stock gears it’s quite quick!
Can you go over the electronics and radio again? It doesn’t work with the Traxxus ecm and remote?
You have two options:
1) use the manual shifting mechanism (comes with the kit) and keep the stock radio
2) use a micro servo to shift gears and use an aftermarket remote
The Traxxas radio doesn’t have an extra switch for the servo to do electronic shifts
Did you bind your mt12 to the injora transceiver by chance? Or any furitek receivers?
Great content! Are those the +4mm axles? Also where did you find those frame sliders?
Yes, +4mm with the new laydown servo option. The sliders came with the transmission
I’m assuming that bronco Body would clear the esc and battery? Seems like this body is thinner than the bronco right?
Yes it will fit the bronco. Much tighter in the IR40
So if I have stock ECM and radio/reciever will this work? I just have to manually change the gear?
Is it still water proof
Another great video
Just wondering what motor will work with this 2speed? I have the injora pro 48t and the brushless motor on the way but will thay work on this tcase
Awesome setup. I wish the 4m came with a 2 speed, like the fms rigs, but it's good to know there's an option out there. I would like to see the wheel speed with the injora 48t pro motor. Bet that would pep it up.
can you do somethins on the meus racing portals
is it water proof? My son wants to know lol
Will this fit the stock trx4m high trail chassis
Have u tried the hot racing ultra low 60:1 gearing? Been searching for videos on it but none that I can find. Want to see it compared to the standard 40:1 low range gears
I have not, but the low range here is pretty close to 60:1. Super slow! Would be great with a lower turn motor though
Gotcha, what low turn motor would u recommend?
Could you run a brushless motor in the 2 speed transmission
Good question. I haven’t seen anyone try it but that would be an awesome combo.
Maybe I’ll give it a shot
What about 3s battery run ?
Do you think it's possible to put a 370 on this transmission?
If I remember correctly, Meus said explicitly that the 370 would not fit. Not sure if thats changed or not, but I remember the incompatibility when this was first released.

I haven't even tried it on 3S, and I have those batteries too. I'll give it a shot!
Losing the battery tray us a huge bummer
Is it waterproof?
Good question. I suppose if you used a micro servo that was waterproof it would be. I didnt crack it open to see how well greased it was
Ok thanks.
❤❤❤thank you
how heavy?
Great video as always! I have the body and some other goodies on order and I can't wait. Have you seen the chassis by @Oppai_Factory made for this body? I have one on order now....
So you have to re-position the battery?
Yes, unless someone else has a way to retain the stock tray. I couldn’t make it work on mine
Sweet 😎💪
can you run the injora purple Moter
Yes, that should bolt right up
Once every component is replaced on a crawler, is it safe to say that it’s still the trx4m? 🤣
Only for the algorithm lol
