Same is a fun character and its super fast but Nuxia outshines her

PK has never really had a proper chance to shine. I main her and have gotten pretty good in dominion. She's an excellent ganker but she requires some serious try harding in many situations. Pls Ubi, show us PKs some love

BUSINESS MODEL.
I love playing Warden. He's very balanced and fair, but unfortunately he's a balanced and fair hero in a game full of heroes that clearly were not designed with that level of balance in mind.
So you find yourself constantly having to put in more effort to keep up with other heroes than said others have to put in to keep up with you.
He is too single target focused to excel in 4v4s when compared to other heros, and his kit has nothing that makes him stand out

Make Warden's dodge forward heavu undodgeable like Warmonger's for a start.
Ironically he is amazing in duels.
Overall pretty good ranking. There are three placements that stood out to me.
Berserker.
Really strong atm. Has very high hp to trade with, dodge cancels on everything now so he can easily avoid damage in a teamfight. His dodge attack has great hitbox and is undodgeable, very good if target swapped. Great feats. Overall it's hard to shut him down, I'd say he is A+.
Shinobi.
S tier for sure. His ganks are so busted since they reset hitstun. Great tools for teamfights with backflip to avoid damage and zone for easy peel. Pair this guy up with someone like medjay and they can delete your hp bar in seconds. Also his tier 2 that can deal up to 60 damage...
Nuxia.
Since her buff she is strong, a lot stronger than C tier. She lacks range and mobility for teamfights sure, but that's not where you want her. Her 1v1 game is so scary now with unreactable traps. Zone deals up to 32 dmg with her feats, any wrong read against her leads to so much damage. Also corruption, although not as busted as wm it's still strong on her. And last but not least, caltrops are still very strong despite the nerf last patch, although no longer as broken luckily.
Your explanations were pretty good, the gameplay was cool with no hud, but normal gameplay for heroes you normally play would've been a nice change to watch. Solid video mate :)

Zerk isn't weak by any means, it's just the meta right now. Mid-chain bashes/neutral bashes rip sh#t up. And berserker is really just a beyblade in this regard.
Nuxia while she got buffed and is decent now, especially in duels not much has changed for her in 4v4's, since traps almost never work in a massive team-fight. Yet, faces similar issues like PK/SHAMAN.
While for shinobi, can't say much, haven't played him for a lot but just enough to understand this n that.
Keep in mind it always varies from match-up to match-up, heroes up above just aren't affected by this as much as him, from my personal experience.

I like your ranking, especially for kyoshin. There are a lot of high level players out there saying that kyoshin is bad or not viable. The only problem is even though his offense is only decent his defense is some of the best in the game. Especially when ubisoft has put such a strong focus on offense, someone who can just destroy all offense becomes extremely powerful.
people forget that the entire player-base doesn't revolve around competitive and high-level play..

I have feeling that highlander is going to get a rework between season 2 and season 4. Such satisfying character to play just needs something more then what he got back in 2018. Also possibly more Fashion for the Scotsman too, since Glad got armor last season and Shinobi got some new armor recently .
Hopefully.. As a Highlander main, it's horrible to see how underperforming he is atm.

im on console so its probably different but dodge attacking is about 80% of all attacks ever thrown by a majority of players throughout the skill levels

@@sonicrose8430 Yeah I play on pc and when crossplay happened something I noticed is a decent amount of console players are really scared of just existing in neutral even for a few seconds. They have to push something, whether it be offense or defense. Not to say every console player is like that, the good ones arnt but quite often if you just stare at certain players for a few seconds they will eventually dodge attack out of fear. And the funny thing is it must work enough for them to keep doing it.

You chose an odd time to make a tier list. We got buffs and nerfs and new hero now. Some “interesting”placements like how low zerk and kensei are.
I think if you make a tier list you shouldn’t pick and choose which heroes you want to elaborate on. Imagine being a new player watching this and seeing your main placed in f or s tier without any elaboration.
How i currently feel, I just got the game again after YEARS of not playing and switching to PC, so i picked up Jorm as a new main but im getting so much back and forth between hes absolute trash or amazing right now with no elaboration for either way
Black Prior is the best at defense against simultaneous gang attacks in Dominion. The block can buy some time for help from teammates
Ubi says they changed Medjay’s hitboxes. But im still hitting people one week away from the moon.
Conq isn't the most annoying hero by a longshot, its Orochi, not because of the moveset (though it is annoying as hell) its the scumbags who main the hero and how they play.
nothing will ever change the fact that the funniest matchup to watch is a Shugoki mirror match. I see whole teams stop fighting to watch that shit go down.

The end result shows how this game is almost balanced. Majority of hero’s are viable and others can be if you put the time in. There’s only a little handful that needs updates and reworks and some just need simple tweaks. That’s pretty good for a hero game in my opinion

I think the biggest problems with individual tier lists isn't just due to subjectivity, but a lot of people tend to forget about the theoretical aspects of why characters sit where they do on the tier lists.
For any newer player coming to this tier list to get an idea of character strength, this is not a very accurate tier list.
This man is choosing to elaborate on specific and otherwise moot points despite the game's nature of being highly complex. The gameplay being shown suggests to me that he's played very, very little of this game and had a very linear idea of the strengths of each character.
To gain a more accurate idea of where characters sit on the tier list, you're better off finding some of the more seasoned For Honor youtubers. Or even better, seeking out and watching competitive players and watching some tournament gameplay. Its vastly different from an average player's gameplay.
High level tier lists don’t matter and don’t fully apply to mediocre players. If you have to sweat your nuts off and have comp scrim experience for the rankings to apply then that’s just useless to me. I don’t deny theoretical aspects and I do make use of them but at the end of the day it doesn’t 100% translate to my experience when I play the game because I am not the cream of the crop.
A noob does not need to look at a comp list. Instead they should look at annoying characters that are easy to pick up and can cause trouble for the average matchmaking player. They should pick kyoshin instead of warden if they want to do well in matches. Even if warden very theoretically has good 2v2 and great 1v1 potential. They will win more with kyoshin because it’s simply easier.
People are allowed to make their own tiers and not have to follow comp word. If the character can be picked up and do well with less effort than when playing other characters then by all means that is a good character to me.
@@Ropewatch What's important is you keep an open mind about the different levels of play, then. The key word is theoretical, because although what you're saying makes sense I think it's important to learn as much accurate information as possible about the characters and not just "enough" for the level of play you're at. Realizing the maximum potential of each character is typically really good knowledge to have, even if you're not ever playing with comp players. Using terms like 'annoying" or "easy" seem like very linear approaches to character strengths, which is fine, but be more specific. What's annoying easy to you may not be for others.
The example with Warden and Kyoshin is unfair because they have different roles and strengths. Blitzz brought this point up with me and it matters more than you think- While Kyoshin is a little more flexible and safe, Warden also has the option of forcing any player to dodge with his charged bash in team fights due to its range. I think for 2v2s this is pretty important, but that's only a single example and I think for those characters it's more of a thing with play style and not a direct comparison.
Competitive tier lists are good to look at because they showcase the absolute fullest potential of a character OR massive weaknesses that bring them down, and the only real differences we'll see with other tier lists typically comes down to level of play. The lower the level of play is the more characters will tend to be higher on the tier list.
It's not that it can't apply to you, because they absolutely can. Comp players are the best of the best and make tier lists without malice or subjectivity.
If a new player wants to learn about where characters sit, the honest places would be comp tier lists. If they want to get a basic idea, something like this will do until they get better and start questioning it.

I don't get how highlander is so low the level of speed his offense lights blocking on the high end of players is already hard enough his mix ups r basically infinite except kick into grab crushing counters sure he can't gb but his tool kit putting people on the ground 4v4 he's
amazing and chains r slightly limited but any character that has to read his kick is fucked they need team mates or else there dead unless there amazing at reading them

Anything he does, there's someone that does it so much better in every way.

Except dodge attacking out of spam OS lights, since they count as chain finishers. Or throwing a light attack at the HL to trade with his kick, so you get damage and he gets nothing.
Warmonger and afera need there dodge offense heavy’s nerfed because they reach further then nuboshi

Highlander doesn't need buffs, he's fine he's just harder to play than light spam orochi or heavy spam Hitokiri. I actually hate fighting Highlander the dudes a tank especially if they're being used by a goodplayer the dudes a nightmare
Literally any hero does better than Highlader in every way.. Much easier access to unblockables, fentable bashes, etc... His whole kit makes no sense in the current meta.

Player knowledge comes back too often in my opinion, I agree that hitokiri can be a noob stomper in a newbie game but if on the other hand you get a game with platinum+ lobbies it's going to be a whole different situation, I understand your choices of your S tiers but medjay is button smashing no matter the rank the player has, same goes with zhanhu(lights unblockable)
I also think that BP should get S tier, Orochi C(If you can react to storm rush basically you can read the orochi easily) and C tier for shinobi as well
As for shaman I would put her to A+ same as nobushi because they make a great duo in ganks despite how gimmicky it sounds
Other than that I agree with the rest of the tierlist, if you want my opinion on the new hero, everything about ocelot to me is vague, the only thing that caught my eyes were the stance jumping attack and the 1st feat, other than that the hero is as basic as medjay

I think lawbringer will be stronger after the rework. He's very defensive now imo, and after this rework, he'll have more options in 4v4s than just turtling and parry punishing, he'll have more offensive tools.

Zerk in A+ or S he got dmg dodge recovs he also has broken tech and is impossible to catch, raider in B he is basically useless since he doesnt have a gank nor the damage anymore and as you said medjay is just better, conq in A+ due to how safe he is and he can full block recov at any moment in a recovery unlike most other full block characters (except ara) Nuxia in B or B+ simply for caltrops thats it, Bp in S the dude literally does everything, jorge in B after the nerf coming, orochi changes if you are on console or not if so hes an A+ if you are pc then B or C (im not PC so cant say for full certainty) JJ A+ he simply has counters otherwise i agree with S, kyoshin is an A just bash or neutral gb most of the time you will be playing a character with a bash anyway, zhanhu is tricky tbh really good dmg but can be punished hard, Shaman i will say aint great but ill put her in B+ just for her ganks, Goki I agree but he is a decent anti ganker since he has the big 3 perks (vengeful barrier, bastion and last stand) and he has an infinite gank, in my opinion any character that has the 3 are automatically B+ including highlander... Just my opinion and I agree with the rest and I will say probably one of the more accurate lists I have seen

His hit box is big. He is very versitle character. His hyper armor comes in handy for those who like to feint or fake. So ive always said, if you play highlander, make methodical decisions and always follow through with attacks. And dont be a spamming side dodge attack a-hole. The guy can light parry. And can fake his kick, with a heavy, light, or grab.
I dont mind the disagreement we have but the guy has more in his arsenal then most but even as a highlander main, i dont like facing one either😆
@@dudemanguy2743 His hitbox is small. His finisher heavies literally have less external range than orochi finisher heavy.
His versatility in a teamfight is non existent. The armor is laughable considering how slow his opener heavy is and how little range his finisher heavy has. Celtic curse is about the best team fight move he has.
In ones the only use armor has is to dodge attack into armor yourself for some trades, or to beat out a buffer light attempt on a read to OS. Which btw you are frame disadvantaged upon entering.
The opponent can also light parry. Throwing a heavy instead of a light doesn’t punish them either, as they can feint the light parry attempt to block, unlike against most characters of the game.
Kick mix up is useless against most of the cast with dodge attacks. Kick to grab doesn’t catch unless facing LB/Conq/Warden/Shugo. The other members of the cast can dodge attack the kick on reaction and not be punished. Ignoring that, there is also one window empty dodge timing that avoids both kick and grab.
The unblockable heavy is alright, but it’s a unblockable with no special properties. Heavy to kick only works against empty dodge/parry. Loses to dodge attack, but to parry a dodge attack you have to cancel the stance. The sheer momentum killer of this mix up for highlander is beyond painful.
There is a reason why the best highlanders have to abuse unhealthy or unintended mechanics. Things like back step cc, wave dashing, 400 ms enhanced lights, phantom range, back dodge recovery. It’s because the actual intended kit is outdated and garbage.
Highlander in 4s is one of the strongest heros. Insane range and damage, and a neutralizer that is caber toss. If he’s outnumbered, he has tools to maintain his distance (crushing counters, hyper armor, wave dashing), and if you make one wrong read against him, a quarter of ur HP is gone.
He’s not an incredible duelist but he’s not C tier in 4s. He’s at least B+
I should mention, yeah his openers aren’t amazing. But his offensive stance openers are much better than Celtic Curse. If I were gonna buff Highlander, I would give him a feintable kick (not just into Caber), I mean a complete feint back into stance.

HL has so many options, so much hyper armor, a ton of mix ups and an absurd amount of guaranteed damage. He lacks some anti-gank options because enemies can disrupt his mix ups but his hyper armor trades, superior lights, and higher hp makes up for it. I would say he needs some minor nerfs
His armor is only decent for team fights.
His mix ups are basic and the bash mix ups loses to almost all dodge attacks.
Crushing counters aren’t unique.
His health isn’t as large as heavies.
I'll give it a go...
HL has no garunteed damage. If he lights you while in offensive stance, you can dodge attack out of the light spam, because OS lights are starters and finishers. If he hits you with the light, you get light hit stun, meaning that if he QUEUES up a kick after with no human delay, and you queue a light, it trades. You get 12 damage on him, he gets functionally nothing since while the kick hits, he also takes light stagger preventing the follow up.
If he hits you with celtic curse or a heavy, or you block a heavy, you'll be medium stun meaning he can kick you if both queue up like before, light vs kick. But the kick is not feintable, you see the big 500ms orange symbol? Dodge attack, free damage and you start your chain pressure. If the HL throws the offensive heavy (because he can't feint kick) and feints that, to try and bait a dodge attack you could sit still and attempt parry instead, which doesn't arrive, resetting to neutral.
His lights are 500ms as standard, heavies super slow with super slow hyper armour, save for celtic curse which can lead into a chain heavy which has faster hyper armour, ending his chain. He has no means of doing an infinate from defensive, like any character with dodge cancel recoveries.
And kick/grab has been obsolete since the patch where everybody gained a dodge attack. He was the last guy to gain a dodge attack. He doesn't even get a heavy on GB without a wallsplat.
Every sliver of damage a HL's ever landed has been the result of hard reads, short of the 400ms lights from OS which are easily escapable, and require hard hard predictions on the part of the HL player to know when the opponent will get fed up of being interrupted and dodge attack out of it to feint to defensive to parry if they don't want it turned around on them.
Wanting to nerf highlander while all the outlanders and half the wu-lin exist, is like complaining your poodle is too loud while your arm's being chewed off by a rotweiler.

While i agree that you can hyper-optimize how to shutdown HL, this was a 4’s tier list and optimizing how to fight HL is only applicable to top level players.
For a tier list in 4s HL has a ton of utility. Being able to get massive punishes like the GUARANTEED 30 dmg bash punish with whatever the teammate adds, neutral unblockable pressure, solid range + hyper armor for team fights, superior lights to counter players out of locking you, or having access to some of the best 4th feats in the game are all valid reasons to not throw HL at the bottom of a 4s tier list.
You’re totally right that HL isnt the highest priority in terms of being overpowered but just like a ton of the cast he has plenty of over-tuned pieces in his kit.
I was simply pointing out HLs viability compared to how the video portrayed it. Go back to Reddit if you want to complain about the other heroes and try to 1-up some dude in the comments

Bashing with the kick, then following up with a heavy in a 2v1 gank situation is a garunteed way to give revenge, one should rather stick to offensive heavy feints with the occasional fly, unless a kill is garunteed, and feinting to defensive requires getting back into offensive, unlike other characters like BP who can unblockable from neutral.
Range he's got, fair. But when outnumbered you can't create that space.
Hard countered by blue in team fights, and all he has is reactable heavy trades in defensive once trapped there, plenty of target swap dodge attacks have undodgable properties.
Superior lights are shared by Warden, Black Prior, Valkyrie, Warlord, Kyoshin, Shaolin in Qi stance, Tiandi's dodge attacks, and if they count, Kensei and Conq's guarding dodges are functionally identical to Tiandi. Crushing counters can also be baited into easy light parries, as easily as baiting dodge attacks, though that is more of a 1v1 thing. When crushing countering an out of lock, that is pretty mean, but no more than any other 500ms neutral bash and requires circumstance to pull off.
I also grant you, spear storm is pretty big.
I would give up spear storm gladly to have a functional character, personally. One who's kit wasn't hopelessly outdated to an older design philosiphy of for honor from 6 years ago. Plenty of characters can kill you from full in one bar of stamina, with HL you get two mixups, that when reacted to, and it's no harder than any other 500ms attacks in the game, can't land. There's no 50/50, no 33/33/33, just hard reads and prayer.
I am glad that my tear list turned out to be necessary :)

IMHO I think conq is lower, atleast compared to pre rework. Heavies and lights are super slow, zone doesn’t do anything, super short range attacks, and attacks don’t track very well. Then again I only played for 10 reps so idk

Nobushi A+ is crazy shes terrible, no good openers but easy parry lights and has no anti gank tool💀, Zerk too low, Shaman too low, any char with fury + fire flask is easy A or higher, Orochi too high feats are nothing special and has poor anti ganking tools - anyone who can parry lights orochi is a mid char, Zhanhu way too high easy char to counter and has poor openers for anyone who can parry lights with sub par feats, BP, Afeera warlord better than kyoshin too but i respect your opinions
