An exhaust brake on a powerstroke works just as well as on a Cummins. Get good tuning along with an exhaust brake an it will help tremendously.

Bullet proofing a 6.0 won't make it pull any better, still the same HP & tourqe what it does is make the engine more reliable. Not as likely going to blow a head gasket or have your water pump disenigrate. The higher RPMs are not a problem with no load, going downhill just don't let them get way up there. I used mine for OTR hot shot. Put over 750, 000 miles on it. Problem free? No relplaced 2 turbos and one set of injectors & glow plugs. Good luck with yours they really are good trucks once you get them upgraded

I have a really nice 2007 F450 with a 6.0. I am looking for some advice on how to drive this vehicle when towing. I am not a kid and have towed many trailers. I just spent $10,000 fixing the engine on this truck and do not want to have issues again. If you have some bullet point advice on how to drive this diesel when towing I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks! Obviously thinking I have a big bad azz diesel truck and slamming the pedal to the metal is a recipe for disaster.
