So cool to show the comparison of an average Yellowtail to that monster Yellowtail. Congrats on the catch! Love the captains energy and passion for fishing. You can see him run to the rod only to let you have at it, this man is dedicated to charter fishing.
That yellowtail was an absolute monster, and the cero mackerel was cool too, really all those fish were nice size. I agree you just never know what you’ll catch with a live bait. I’m curious if you tried any of them?
@@BobAquatic ah I hear ya, it’s always tough when your traveling for short trips. Glad you got to try some though, theyr great, mutton is my fav tho. The live well idea sounds great, In many places having live bait is practically a must, but seems like in the northeast it’s not as crucial
@@BobAquatic that’s very interesting about the live bunker with relocating striper schools. Yeah I’ve also tried even using baby bluefish and live spearing up north but never had any better luck. I think part of it is water clarity

The yellowtail was actually 3.5 pound! The biggest one i have gotten!
In the 90's the largest Yellowtail I ever saw caught was 14#. Now that was a beast. It was a couple of miles off Mayaguez drifting sardine chunks.
What just happened??? Hahahah such a great video. Are you thinking of getting a boat?
Your the Bob Ross of the fishing world!
What were you using Liv bait ?
