    Well, Said Karyn! We all need to STOP with the DIVISION of High Raw, Low Raw, Cooked Vegan, Cooked Plant-Based, etc. Like you said this is just causing DIVISION and we should ALL just be happy for EVERYONE who is just eating more HEALTHY. We all just need to LOVE each other and be peaceable with each other.

      Eating more healthy, is that all? What about the animal suffering we've stopped participating in? For many of us, that is number one. The vibrant health is just a bonus.

      @@planetofthevegans880 I don’t focus on the motive. I focus on the result. Whatever a person’s reason is to go vegan, so be it. It means less harm to our animals. Maybe in time, they’ll also feel the need to cut out animal products aside from diet. It happened to me. Peace.

    I had the pleasure of meeting Karyn several times at her 4 different resturant locations during my 14 year stint in Chicago. What makes Karyn different from the rest, is her non dogmatic approach to the this lifestyle. Always emphasizing the evolution and process versus right and wrongs. Karyn is highly intentional in how carefully she contributes in juxposition to the societal pull towards disconnection and competition. Love is not choosing someone who is just like us, it is about loving ourselves so we can find the beauty in others. Karyn lives this. And may I say, she is even more stunning in person.

    I loved the interview!!!!
    She taught me a lot. I am 60 and finally got my arthritis under control. I got off grain completely and processed chips fried in all those low level oil. I increased my fruit intake and stopped eating red meat. I used to have unbearable arthritis flare ups in my shoulder and elbow joints, now the pain is so minimal I can exercise and use resistance band to keep my arms toned. If people don’t move away from the processed grains, corns and red meats, they will stay sick and by 60, you won’t have a great quality of life.

    Karyn is great and an inspiration. I am a plant based consumer so does my husband. Half of my DNA which is southeast Asian is lactose intolerant so no dairy products for me from the start and meat really gave me skin issues and chicken and eggs make me nauseous for reasons that I couldn't understand as a teenager but it was promoted as healthy so I stuck to it but I became obese, tired and lacking in energy. My husband being European love his dairy as it was taught to them that milk is the perfect food until our bodies paid a high price and that was an awakening and listened to our bodies. My husband fought 2 types of cancer and the second one he escaped chemotherapy by embracing a strict whole foods plant based and the rest is nothing short of a miracle and even his doctors are amazed by how he recovered and its been years now and now he gained strength full of energy and became lean and so did I. I am a nurse by profession in my 50s and its sad that most of my cancer patients have a lifestyle of excess and anxiety. My colleagues always poke fun at me for being plant based but I just laugh it off because at the end of the day I am not the one in lots of maintenance from blood pressure pills to arthritis pills name it my colleagues have it and one in walking sticks already at 55.

There were so many different things I got from it, but one that I wanted to specifically say thank you to you both for was the conversations about getting away from labels and measurements. When my children were young, in the 70 ties , they went on holiday with their grandparents. I did one or two weeks of water fasting every summer . Nevertheless I’ ve been on and off a serious sugar addiction ever since my birth, when they gave me sugar water to drink 😢. I don’t eat any sugar since 3 months and it was very hard the first weeks. I eat almost roar and juices. Looking great is not only because you eat as well as possible at each period of life, the inner light shines so beautifully through Karyn ❤😂

      Hi, in my experience diet can't solve everything. Illness starts at the energetic level, which is what I learned in my Energy Kinesiology classes. However I hit a wall with that when I got cancer, and had to get conventional medical treatments. I, too, was adamant that I could cure anything on my own, but that turned out not to be the case. I eventually found A Course in Miracles, because I prayed for a miracle and that's what showed up. I learned that God is the best healer, so whenever anything goes wrong now, I say Dear God, please heal X, so that X is healthy and comfortable from now on. I had to learn to trust God instead of trying to do everything myself, because I was really stressed out and overwhelmed, and needed God's help.

I wish you the best!!!! I know that it s not all about the physical, I did strong frequent therapy for 9 months before I had to make a choice to have my tumor removed surgically...I have started to regret it since I started to watch dr Morse, but I felt that I didn t know at the time what to do anymore.

I just eat mostly plant based because it’s what makes me feel my best. I was Type 2 Diabetic in 2016 until I Reversed it in 3 months, Over 6 years ago by giving up sugar and I only ate healthy carbs. I started my healing from childhood trauma Journey and I started eating some sugar again and lots of bittersweet chocolate. In 2020 I started having health problems. I can’t eat anything with gluten cause my stomach will swell up like a balloon and I also have GERD and caffeine triggers it. My goal is to work up to occasionally doing water fast.

There wasn't the data like there is today. Also my kids friends told their parents I grew grass which didn't go well there either ha. I have wheatgrass growing in my kitchen as I type. That if we cleanse and just listen to ourselves, we will find our purpose and it doesn't have to be grand, just whatever is right for us and brings us joy. This is hopeful and calming to me. I'm dealing with a lot. I need to step back and find some space to just let myself be and whatever that is, not to judge it. Just let it unfold.

    Two staples in the movement. Another wonderful interview. Im Soaking up all this knowledge . Its nice to hear a more journeyed lady such as Karyn speak on detoxing , as with Her generation thats something so exclusive in nature, where-in only those walking the most narrow path would be enlightened on the matter. A couple things I would like to add on to some points made in the video :
    To the next generation, or even more experienced people who are more recently getting into the raw lifestyle who begin to eat raw and undergo detox symptoms which makes them want to bow-out and revert to their prior diet structures or try carnivore etc - its not that anything is wrong with how You feel. This "Deterioration" is only temporary, its Your body breaking down damaged cells and healing the inflictions caused by an entire life-time of self indulgence. We've all been there and We've all had our fun which has taken its toll on Us, and what gos up, must come down, and what is broken down, gains the ability to be built back up respectively. The worse You feel on a detox, the better You will feel once You are finished purifying. Its not an easy process, and I can see how being in the publics eye as a social media mogul or an influencer would make it that much more trying. You have people who depend on You to show results, and naturally we want to display what we deem as 'positive results' rather than letting people see us in pain or struggling. I think if showing people this side of You deters You from continuing on the path, it might be better to temporarily disconnect from the livestreams and the daily videos, and instead maybe just take pictures and do offline vlogs to document Your journey where You dont feel pressured or judged for what You are going through, then You can decide later what You want to document and produce content with to share with the world. Your healing process is more important than Your self image, because at the end of the day Youre health will be by Your side for Your entire journey on this planet, while everything else comes and go's. Even with Me personally, I've been trying to nail this Essene Gospel of Peace detox on and off for about 6 years now. Even when I did actually pull it off in April of 2018, I was weak-willed on the refeed and ate cooked food which reverted the purification and although I wasnt right back to square-one , it did make those 9 days of extremely heavy detox somewhat redundant. When I was finally rinsed clean and had purged all the toxins out of my digestive tract on day 9, I re-fed with a vegan pea protein smoothie, banana, and some other fruit. Two hours later I had some raw organic almonds, spinach, and pineapple. Once those digested a little I remember feeling so light. It was suddenly like stress, anxiety, fear, all negative emotions couldnt possibly reside in Me ever again. I felt like I was literally floating on a cloud. I went and sat down on my bed to meditate. I remember closing my eyes and thinking "I bet I could tell what time it is right now" and I guessed the time, opened my eyes and looked at the clock and I was only three minutes off. I was beginning to gain telepathic or psychic powers. Not even a couple hours later I lost sight on what I wanted from this life and began to snack on this and that, eventually even having a piece of cake. I think ideally not having these foods in Your house is really key. Also remaining focused on the aspect of how You feel based on what You eat, instead of seeking the dopamine hit of spoiling our taste buds is also important. Like it says in the Essene Gospel of Peace ( I only read chapter one as its the part on detoxing, and its available online to read for free ) after You complete the detox, Youre never to eat cooked, frozen, or rotten foods again, lest the angels depart You, which is completely true. After binge eating I felt the energy fizzle out and the lightness dissipate. While I did end up feeling better than I did before the fast, its incomparable to the feeling of absolute purity which was attained. For anyone who wants the "Quick Fix" which Karyn speaks of on this video, the closest You are going to get is the Essene Detox. Depending how backed up You are, it will take anywhere between 9 and 30 days, where-in 9 is the average person who periodically adheres to fairly clean diet structures, does intermittent fasting, eats alot of raw food etc, and 30 is the standard american diet over a lifetime of indulging. Although I dont recommend jumping directly into the detox from this diet, because the symptoms will be rougher , as you could have substantially less toxins to purge even just having a couple month period leading into the detox where You ate fairly clean on most days and that would reduce the heaviness of the cleanse substantially. I recommend reading Herbert Sheltons PDFs which you could find online free to read. The books are called "Science and fasting" and "Science and the fine art of fasting" . For anyone who reads ePubs You can find the latter on the Archive website , the pdfs can be found on multiple platforms. The only thing I would say Herbert missed on was the effectiveness of enemas and colonics. He had a mentality that we are meant to face the detox symptoms head on and deal with them as they come, but I dont think he realized how much rinsing out the toxins lightens the load of the fast. When we fast, the body breaks down dead and weak cells, it eliminates parasites and bad bacterias in the body and uses them as fuel sources, effectively converting all unnecessary elements in the body into energy which it uses to sustain itself during this period of restricted calorie intake. All of this cell die-off and toxin release is effectively purged through the body and accumulates in the lymph, where it prepares to be excreted through bowel movements. However, since You arent taking in any fibers which encourage bowel movements, and Your bodys natural gut flora which also encourages regularity has diminished from the fast, its increasingly difficult for Your body to naturally release the toxic buildup without assistance. This is why its so much more potent to detox with enemas and colonics. You get these build-ups out of Your bodies way so it can go back to further cleansing, using the energy efficiently to continue with the further break-down of unnecessary components. If You do an extended fast without flushing these toxins out and force Your body to eliminate them naturally, You will have to face alot more detox symptoms such as potentially vomiting, headaches, etc. They make the fast alot more comfortable. Again, this is for people who really want to go through a more intense detox in a shorter amount of time, vs extended over a longer period of time such as a juice fast or even just a raw diet with perhaps intermittent fasting which can still be effective, just more drawn-out. Some personal insight for anyone who attempts it : Baking soda is extremely effective when paired with extended water fasts ( and cleansing in general ). Half a teaspoon to one teaspoon in a tall glass of water ( 10 ounces ) an hour to a few hours before the enema . The minimum quality would be Arm & Hammer, and You could use something organic and even cleaner as well. Just no off brands which tend to be impure. ( Continued via reply as comment got too long )

    • @cIeetz
      @cIeetz Рік тому

      Try not to drink soda water before sleeping without doing an enema, as it breaks down toxins which need to be released, otherwise could increase sleep confusion ( which also naturally occur regardless during the detox to an extent ) . You can do this two to three times a day , and the same amount of enemas respectively. During the fast, like Herbert says, You are not to work. The extent of my exercise when purifying is light pranayama stretching and breathwork in the morning. You dont even wanna go for walks. Essentially remaining bed-bound for the duration of the fast, only leaving bed to bathe and bathroom ( which i recommend doing as often as You please ) even getting some epsom salts and essential oils to create a spiritual bathing routine protocol while cleansing. Alternating between hot and cold showers helps alot. Breath-work is huge also. I remember when I purified the first time, I would have these bouts of deep-breathing while in the state of ketosis, where after about 30 to 40 seconds of deep breathing, I would start to have *INTENSE* vibrations in my body, which would range from my face to my abdomen, and it would spread throughout my upper body. I would literally feel my cells vibrating, creating this tightness wherever it was happening. Like when it happened in my face, it would be hard to open my mouth because my jaw would almost lock up completely. I think its this hidden healing process where Your body is purging the cells further through heavy vibrations. Aside from what I just shared hmm what else...You enter ketosis between 2.5 and 3 days into only water. If You start the fast with no water or food, it happens in two days. Although personally I dont think theres a need for dry fasting. It really doesnt speed up the detox much further in my experience, as Your body is so efficient at using water to cleanse, that lack there-of doesnt make much of an improvement in the cleansing, . They say when Autophagy occurs ( act of dehydration from lack of water intake) , Your body is forced to source its own water by extracting it from whatever resources are available, which can help in breaking down unnecessary components faster like cancer cells, dead and dying cells, parasites etc. Ive done a 5 day and a 6 day dry fast and personally, I think You are good with just a 24 hour dry fast x times a year maybe once or twice, just to encourage organ function, leaving the extended fasts to encompass water consumption. But ya aside from that, during the fast alot of meditation, relaxation music is great. I use stingray music streaming with the meditation, rainfall, and nature channels. When im fully bored with meditating and dont want to stare into space anymore, I'll read my ePub books, write rhymes/music, watch youtube or T.V. ( just try to avoid shows on eating because thatll just dissuade You from the cause at hand ) . Some things to watch for on the fast is sitting up before standing up. Your blood sugar gets extremely low on extended fasts, and if You go from lying to standing You will certainly get a head rush and fall over. if You arent careful with this, and the head rush is bad enough, it can be pretty bad, to the point where You fall onto the floor and take like 5 or 10 seconds to recover. Even if this happens though, just remember youll be fine, your body is just adjusting to functioning within these restricted parameters. When re-feeding after an extended fast, write down what You ate and at what time, and try to adhere to some sort of protocol, as spiking the insulin too many times a day can lead to binge eating. But ya thats about it for Me. I wanted to share my knowledge here knowing Gillian might be the only one to read it, because She's truly devoted to this lifestyle and helping others and really has this innate desire to teach and be taught, which is key to attaining true wisdom. Wishing You all peace prosperity health and wellness going into 2023 and I hope You find what Youre looking for. _peace

      one last thing I forgot to add. Psyllium husk is the best product ive found at pulling out mucoid plaque and other debris from the G.I. tract. if You do a half teaspoon to a teaspoon ( add it into a smoothie which is done blending, at the end of the blend, then blend it another 10 to 15 seconds ) , twice a day for say three days, after doing the fruit/juicing/smoothies etc for a month or two, almost all the plaque will be forced out the G.I. tract. Without psyllium I had gone several months on only smoothies but it didnt seem to want to come out until I introduced it into the regime.

    This is, BY FAR, the best Karyn interview ever! 16 years, I’ve been on a raw vegan journey with lots of wicked hills and valleys. My raw journey looks like a pile of zoodles. I’ve followed and unfollowed many. I loved Karyn’s store & restaurants & we talked a number of times. But her ego could be so off-putting, especially in interviews. They were unsettling to watch. In person, she’s been kind, but also downright snarky to me at times and that saddened me, because I had her on a pedestal for a while and that’s my fault and challenge. I’m SO happy to see a change in her. I know she’s been through extreme challenges, these past few years especially. But they have clearly humbled her. Her energy is so much kinder in this interview. I usually can’t finish them. Now I’d like to drive down to Flossmoor and see what she’s creating. I always respected her wisdom, but her vibe was very different from this for a very long time. In my humble opinion, this humbled, kinder Karyn, is the most beautiful Karyn.❤️
