- I've had this sitting on the back burner for a while now, but I've been wary about uploading it. Technically this falls under fair use, but that doesn't seem to stop anyone. I just hated seeing this sit on my hard drive with no one but me to view it. Hopefully it's worth it.

I like how tlok took a new way instead good vs evil into battle of ideas and philosophies
Red reaper I totally agree with u. Amon’s ideas of equality, Unalaq’s ideas of spirituality, Zaheer’s ideas of freedom, and Kuvira’s ideas of unity really were interested to watch.
jose martinez Amon was badass
Amon: Communism
Unalaq: Theocracy
Zaheer: Anarchy
Kuvira: Fascism
@@jmoneymaker96 idk why but I always thought unalaqs saga was based more around colonialism considering he did invade the south.
@@smikshat8445 yes, but ideologically it's a theocracy
The era of bending is over! A new era of equality has begun!
-Amon, the hero of all non-benders.
Amon and Zaheer were the best villains of LoK.
Amon and Unalaq
I like how amon like "give up his water bending" and use his blood bending as a sign of power and fear to the benders that he is a force to be reckon with
Just back here cause Legend of Korra is on Netflix now, a truly iconic series
Cries in british
I really liked AMON and Zaheer. Two of the best villains of all time. And Kuvera was pretty cool. Unalaq had pretty generic motives, but his composure and manipulation was pretty well executed. I just wish they gave him more than a “I want more power” motive.
Unaloq was actually a pretty decent character up until the last few episodes of season 2.
Initially, Unaloq actually just wanted to unite the human and spirit world. But for some reason, his once noble ambitions eventually grew into pure lust for power.
My theory is that it may have been due to Vaatu's influence or something. It's unfortunate that they screwed up with the writing near the end of season 2. Unaloq could've been a really cool villain.
His message is practically what’s going on now it’s all about equality and how we are denied
denied from what lmao
Equality is Communism. Research it... This show is trying to tell you something. Equality is associated with the villain for a reason here.......
@@LintRiggs_ nope
@@LintRiggs_ Equality is not communism, and Amon's ideologies don't even come close to communism, they are closer to populism.
Amon was the good guy all the time.
Imagine if he wasn’t reduced to being a water bender. He’d actually be terrifying enemy, with a legit point about the society and structure of the avatar world.
He could even still have the ability to take peoples bending away, just through Spirit bending instead. This would make a great contrast to Korra, who seemed completely out of tune with the spirits
Mr Super-Kami Popo they know he was to good of a quote unquote antagonist so they took away what made him special and unbeatable
In that case, how would Korra be able to defeat him? Just energybend him back into a nonbender, as he was before the spirits? That would be far too much of a repeat of Aang vs. Ozai, and critics would lash on TLOK for "resting on their laurels" and being "unoriginal in their plot", or something like that.
Furthermore, Amon being a waterbender doesn't render his ability to take other people's bending away weaker or reduced. If anything, it's even more scary. If a waterbender with sufficient training (or diabolical experimentation) can take people's bending away, why shouldn't _all_ waterbenders be able to do that? What if the Water Tribe suddenly decided to invade the other nations? Wouldn't they be highly successful given their populace's newfound ability to outright manipulate people and strip them of their bending if they didn't do as commanded?
Taking a deeper stance, part of the reason why TLOK villains are so good is that it demonstrates that anyone can be a villain. (Unalaq is an exception. Book 2 was just weird.) Amon was "just" a waterbender. The Red Lotus were "just" bending masters. Kuvira was "just" a metalbending prodigy. Yet they managed to terrorize the world of Avatar. Having a spiritual villain breaks this theme and reduces the realism of the TV show--because as we've seen time and time again, TLOK is a more realistic show than ATLA, which focused more on lore.
He wasn’t reduced and who cares if he is a waterbended he still had the right idea.
Amon would be a great ally to the Red Lotus
He will destroy them and take their bending
@@sanzharzaitenov5268
Given the chance, yes.
But for the moment, he needs them to stop Korra and her allies forever.
Would be interesting if in the first season Amon win and declare republic city a independent non-bender country. Having to deal with the red lotus uprising in the earth kingdom and the following rise of kuvira and return of the spirits.
@@joshuahecht6866 He doesn't need anyone, he sorted her by himself.
@@getfreur2458 that would have been great.
When I first watched this, I thought Amon was just cool. Now that I'm a bit older, now only is he cool and the best villain but he's also right. Equality is the only way to succeed even if it means punishing the ones who prevent equality.
How much I Love zaheer as a Villains but I wish amon was stayed as a Villains until the Ending and Final boss only if they didnt Reveal he is a faker that so much better
this made my skin crawl

Hello
In my opinion, he was a socialist and a leftist, but he was not a communist, he was more like a religious socialist like Hugo Chavez and Gaddaqi.
