Nice one, enjoying your video’s, we share the passion for photography, slightly different on the Motorhome, we sleep on a roof tent, Scotland is great for exploring, keep up the good work.
I have been watching your videos for a while now and didn't realise you were based around inverclyde it's nice to see the old Largs road on film something I can send links to folk asking what the areas like
This looks great. You stop at locations other youtubers drive past. Really informative. Great filming and commentary. I've never been up to Greenock Cut. I'm only along the road in Glasgow too (shameful). Anyway I love your videos. Cheers 👍
The road to Dowries is in dreadful condition as of Nov ‘20 but is maintained on a semi regular basis so will at some point look good again. Also the pylons mentioned at the parking spot are no more so don’t be looking for them as a landmark.
@@CamperCameraGohi just watched for a second time the Motorhome video on old Largs road - as it’s so close to Paisley I want to try an overnighter in my car camper with my two month old- down the ‘private road’ hopefully tonight - will I be left alone or as it’s a private road could o be asked to leave? Have a tarp I want to set up as an awning you see -want as relaxed a trip as possible before venturing further.
Nice work. There are certainly some brilliant views all along the Old Largs Road. Especially when you consider it's only a 5 minutes drive from Greenock. Makes it just that little it easier to get away from it. I am up there quite a lot and think I have seen your van a couple of times. We also spoke briefly once when you were taking some images where the Kelly Cut meets Loch Thom. (We were doing the same).
Hi Andy.Once again a lovely video and plenty of informative places to park up. Can I ask a couple of questions. What would be the best route to come and visit this area coming up from the South on M74. And secondly. We are hoping to pick up a new roller team auto 747 the end of May.What are you thoughts on your 746. And driving such a long wheel base van. Keep up sending your vids. They are awesome. Billy
Hi Billy. I'm very happy with the 746. Its layout suits us really well. It seemed huge to drive for the first couple of weeks, but I soon got used to it. Coming up from the M74, just join the M8 and keep going West until you fall off the end onto the A8 and you'll find yourself in Greenock.
Hi Andy. What did you do with your 476 during the winter.Did you drain off the fresh water. And if so did you have any problems connecting back up your fresh water.I have a Elddis MH.And every year there is a problem bleeding the system of trapped air. Billy
I kept mine hooked up to the electric with the heating on at about 12 degrees through the winter when I wasn't out and about in the van. It wasn't particularly cold this year though. I haven't had any problems with the water. Not sure if that would work if it dropped say below - 10 degrees outside.
Hi Andy, another informative video. What drone do you use? I've been looking but have very little knowledge about them so any advice would be much appreciated.
Thanks Dave. I've got a Mavic 2 zoom. My first drone so I'm still finding my way around all of its capabilities. Not cheap, but very happy with it. Glad of the obstacle avoidance a few times when I've been filming near trees.
its funny, on TV and the internet, you only ever see the English slagging off Scotland or trying to poke fun but theres always loads of you up here..wonder why ?..hmm..
Are you having a go at me specifically here, or just making a sweeping anti English generalisation? Have I sagged off or poked fun at Scotland in any of my videos? I think my Scottish wife and her family would have something to say about it if I did.
Driven this road hundreds of times in all weather (including snow) and never get tired of it

Subscribed , loved this most informative.
Thanks once again Andy - lots of useful info. I'm glad to see you have overcome the rearview mirror intrusion problem!
...at vast expense I'll have you know. £2.99 suction mount from eBay! :)
@@CamperCameraGo Ah! The sacrifices you must make for your art!
Subscribed, totally enjoyed this video. And it's not too far from Northumberland
Stunning location, right our doorstep, ok far a day and night out.
Thanks for sharing, excellent video.

At 2:15 the track behind you was used as a film location for the new version of Whisky Galore.

Really enjoyed that 👌😉

Thank you Jeanette. I enjoy making them, but hearing that people like them makes it even better.

I remember talking to you there. :) I go up there fairly often.
We are up there most nights. Just a nice place to get away from town for a little while :-)
Fab stuff, my partner and I are photographers and are just about to buy our first camper, so I’m really going to enjoy your channel 😉👍👌.... JP
Glad you liked it. What kind of camper are you getting?
I’m looking at autotrails at the mo we don’t want something too big so the one we are looking at is about 6.23 mars long
There are 4 of us and 2 doggos so we appreciate the space we have, although I did originally start out looking at VW transporters!
It’s a lovely van you have, I’ll keep you posted on our progress 😉👍.... keep up the great videos, very professional and interesting 👌.... JP
