I totally agree with the comment about the Italian game lol. It's super annoying, and the main reason I started playing the French and Scandi instead of e4 e5 is because I just hate facing Ruy Lopez and the Italian. But literally everyone plays it
As you said the opening in the second game is boring you should look at the variation where you play g5. Has the highest win rate for black and there is a good video on it by remote chess academy called ‘this attack destroys even 2500+ rated opponents in 10 moves’
You lost the thread and voluntarily stopped developing in that first game. If your idea was to trade the B's by playing Bc6, then what's up wasting time with Rb8? Then Ne4 - moving same piece twice - accomplishes nothing. After the next move, Qg2, why your opponent (1926!) missed the free piece with Qxe4 CHECK is a mystery. Maybe he assumed your threat had meaning. But you need to complete your dev unless there is something concretely valuable to be gained in the meantime. Anyway, just passing thru based on random YT rec. Good luck.
