As someone who recently played Republic Commando, I can confirm that the super b2 battle droids are an absolute nightmare to kill.
Those laser fuckers on geonosis are nightmares too if you just have your pistol for a moment
Very late comment, but you can throw the shock grenades at them and they take a ton more damage
I hated those fucking orbital strike geonosians that hover around and fucking drain my health faster than a dad eats a bag of m&m’s

@@robjsmiles most efficient and effective way to kill multiple B2's is to shock them have Delta Squad concentrate fire on one of the B2s whilst mixing some thermal dets into there and you concentrate your fire on the other one

Checked for this on wookieepedia while I watched, and damn: I thought they stopped giving a crap when the new EU started. The synopsis for the first level is literally just, "Delta Squad kills Plo Koon."

Once you become a clone, the nightmares are not too far behind.
I would love for a Star Wars game to take place during the Clone Wars for like maybe the first half of the game, fight some droids and stuff across the various planets. And then at some point your character will return to the Jedi temple on coruscant a little before order 66 happens. Your character wakes up with the sound of blaster fire and tries to find his friends in the chaos. Fight some clones and escape to the lower levels of coruscant or something. And then the rest of the game you just try to survive the purge. That would be a pretty cool concept in my opinion.
Imagine you have to survive to the events of the clone wars revenge of the Seth Star Wars Rebels canobi rogue one era And through the original trilogy A big epic game

A Bad Batch game that controls like Commando would be awesome. And maybe add a little more of the specializations, like only being able to progress through certain objective with specific Batch members. I thinking things like Wrecker blasting open a door, Echo hacking a droid port, or Tech finding a security system bypass.
Another good one would being able to create your own Republic Commando pod and customize them based on the mission like Rainbow Six.
I’ve been hooked on republic commando recently, the music and ambience of the game is oh so satisfying

The fact that you bring up how you have to stab the droids so much reminds me of this episode someone made that beating battle front 2 non original only melee witch just imagine if battle droids wher in the second battle front 2 that wouls be a nightmare
What if delta squad is the main villains of the Bad Batch, as they hunt a jedi teaming up with Clone Force 99 themselves? That could provide the origins of Gregor, if he defects.

You can also play as Anakin in the Jedi Temple in the GBA Episode 3 game, which was a sort of 2d brawler game. Or as Obi-Wan on Utapau escaping the clones. Quite a lot of fun.
Also, the Commandos are actually canon. Maybe not the exact ones from the game, but they show up during one episode of the animated Star Wars series
This reminds me of a side scroller game for episode 3. Got to play as the Jedi in their respective levels until the last level when you fight against Anakin

The clones are not voiced by Temuera Morrison in the og battlefront 2 videogame. He is the narrator as well as mission command for half of the campaign, but that's it.
A cool Order 66 game would be playing as a clone that somehow never followed Order 66.

I think there aren’t that many order 66 scenarios in Star Wars games because it’s a massive plot twist in Star Wars and they probably don’t want those games to spoil that

Imagine a 1313 looking “free roam” open world type where you play as a clone or even the delta squad to hunt down Jedi throughout the galaxy.
I feel like the #1 Star Wars game we all want, would just be SO massive, even new gen consoles couldn’t play it. Image having every planet, in detail, ever character, customization, open world sky to ground… endless ideas for a game.
If I had the know how, I’d make my own game. Disney is missing losing money in the sense that they could have a game like this. Granted it being good and constantly updating, could be unstoppable
No Man's Sky is essentially the prerequisite to a proper Star Wars game.
If they could learn a few of those same dev tricks, they could do it.

Imagine if there was a rated M commando/clone trooper based order 66 game. Leaving scorch marks in armor and watching your own troopers being cut down while hunting a Jedi or somethin would just be sick. Doesn’t even have to be rated M but one can dream

Republic Commando deserves a remaster. The gameplay holds up well enough considering its age and era, but technology has come a long way in fifteen years. A completely remastered game with a tighter gameplay experience and better animations would be all we need, as well as the requisite graphical improvements that come along with any good remaster. Then again, I say the same thing about KOTOR/2 and all three Jedi Knight games, but they're all still perfectly enjoyable despite the mildly annoying bugs and gameplay controls that come saddled with games from this transitional age of game design.

Republic Commando was the shit. Those B2s are properly terrifying. Playing as a Jwdi they're so much easier, but for a normal soldier, they're a real threat. I love the game so much.
I had a nightmare when B2 (probably like 10) broke into my house and just looked at me, I woke up.

I've been saying we need a Clone Wars game where you play missions as a trooper under a Jedi general. You form a bond with them as you rise in rank, and at the end, the final boss is the Jedi as you receive Order 66.

My dream Star Wars game is either a republic commando game with better graphic and longer or a Star Wars mount and blade game, choose a faction around the clone wars (republic, separatist and mandalorians + more) and upgrade and command troops (like battalions)
I used to own Republic Commando I think, and when you get the order to execute order 66 you can attack the Jedi or the other Commandos, I don't know what happens after shooting the Commandos because I never survived it. What I remember the most is the sucky fully automatic assault weapons that were in effect automatic bb guns, honestly when taking a knife to a gunfight is the better option, then you need to reballance the weapons.
EMP grenade on sbd, then you shoot it with 1 full clip in the eye, no stabbing required

I played the game this last days, and it was a challenge!, I also hate the infinite super battle droids, they're a nightmare, but then, if you play the arc trooper mod, it becomes super easy to kill anything, although it comes with the drawback of being more easy to get killed yourself. But being able to shoot down a SBD with just 2 shots of the sniper after suffering so much, feels nice
NGL I am playing through fallen order right now and haven't gotten to the order 66 scene, and didn't know how it all went down. feels bad man.

Episode III Revenge of the Sith for GBA was a superb game that included an Order 66 mission you play as Anakin. You fight your way inside the jedi temple slaughtering different waves of different levels of jedi. Boss fight was a Jedi Master who was the most decorated saber combatant (Name was something forgettable obviously xD) It was a 2.5D sidescrolling hack and slash with real time block/parry. RPG elements let you add force points you found/earned in each level to upgrade your saber offense, defense, or force abilities of many kinds. It even had a co-op mode where you play as either Obi Wan or Anakin in the clone wars. (As long as you had a gba link cable that is xD) Again, a wonderful game, I loved it so much as a kid, definitely a favorite.
There should just be a game where your darth vader and you hunt down jedi from the start of order 66, to then doing the battle against obi wan, and then becoming darth vader and hunting down jedi that would be so cool

Change my mind the old Order 66 lore where the Clones were all fully conscious of their orders and decisions was far better than the inhibitor chip and added far more personality to every Clone even in the darkest of times in the Clone Wars
