Even when I pull the thread tight at the toe, sometimes I don't like the tiny hole so I sew it together a bit more. LOVE these and this pattern. very clear instructions and nicely paced. Thank you for being a great teacher!

I have watched ton of videos on how to crochet and failed but succeed in making the puckered toe slipper you created (i preferred the puckered one :)) Thanks for the fab videos and looking forward in watching and learning moreof your crochet design!!! :) :)
Yes, That is exactly what I had in mind... I know of several other ways of crocheting slippers, but I wanted this tutorial to be for Beginners...A Super Easy Project for people picking up a hook for the first time.
I enjoyed the tutorial a lot, you are easy to understand and your instructions are very good. Camera work was also very good as I could see exactly what you were doing. Thank you for making this video. I'm making my slippers now.

Thank you for this idea, it's great for a beginner like me, I'm looking forward to trying it. You could make them as pretty or as plain as you like using different wool (yarn!) and buttons like you have added. What a lovely project! Thank you
InvisibleMelodies, what I would suggest now that I know that you tried a different bulkier yarn than I used in the tutorial...I would suggest using the same Brand I did to see how that works for you. I used Red Heart Super Saver Worsted medium weight #4, because when you use a bulkier yarn your project will be way bigger, if you were to use a thinner yarn than I did your project will be smaller.
Wow! Super, super easy! I've made it for my 6 month old doughter! Soooooo cute! Thx! AND Thx for your "clear" english - i can understand every word ;-)
To try and figure out where you could've gone wrong...I almost suggested that maybe you folded it the wrong way, but then I thought Nah, I'm sure she sees which way the stitches are going...but I am so glad you figured it out...Yay! See I knew you could do it ; )
Hi 😊 I am not a beginner but I clicked on the video because I adore the shape of this it’s currently about to be 1 am and I’m this close 🤏🏽 to pulling my yarn out now lol I am impatient to wait for the morning
You look wonderful for 50? Old Lady? Not yet. 75 seems old to me but now that I'm there it doesn't seem so old anymore.. still I'd much rather be 60 right about now. I love your slippers - they are the so sweet for my granddaughters; one is in the hospital having a difficult time with a tummy obstruction from scar tissue. She is 18 now and scared and hurting. So, these slippers will help me pass this difficult time thinking of her feet being warm in the cool Fall days. God Bless.
There are a lot of these videos on UA-cam, but yours are my favorite. Your sweet manner and easy explanation is very important for a beginner like me. Keep making videos so I can keep making cool fun stuff!! You remind me of Mechelle Dugger, another sweet lady. THANK YOU!
Hello. I can't wait to make my Daughter the 3rd Bootie!! These are really adorable...so I just subscribed. Thanks for the tutorials! I have made my Mother this slipper and I put puffy paint in small circles on the bottom and let dry. This way they are non-skid and washable. They really turned out great thanks again!!
OMGOODNESS, this is a great idea and tutorial. I am going to make slippers for the whole family!! I even have the exact same yarn here at home, so off I go. Wish me luck
Jill, I am Thrilled that your enjoying this tutorial...Have fun! After this one there is an even better slipper tutorial on My Channel "Glama's Puckerless Slippers" where there is NO Toe Pucker at all, way more comfortable. It is called " Ladies Crochet Show & Tell Happy Hour " that is exactly what the group is a place for Adult Crochet Show & Tell...we can show off the work we are Proud of ; ) Come Join me Happy Crocheting, Glama
I just learned how to croshet its so much fun, thanks for making your videos. I made an apple coaster just like yours but in yellow. Thanks for making your videos. :)
woohooo this was super super simple! I made my first slipper and it only took me 8 hours to make 1 slipper! Now to make the 2nd slipper to go with it :)
Successfully made my first slipper, THANK YOU SO MUCH!!. This is an excellent tutorial and I never thought it could be this easy. Everyone in my family is getting slippers for Christmas, lol.
Hello....Puffy Paint is the brand name. You can find many different colors at your local craft store or Walmart (in the T-Shirt craft section). I made the slippers in a dark maroon with small white flowers attached and pink for the non-skid circles on the bottom. I have put puffy paint on many fuzzy-type and regular socks for her and have never had a problem with them coming off after many washes. Looking forward to your tutorials!! Take care.

And Thank you for your very kind Compliment ; )
Thank you for the encouragement :) I actually spent all afternoon doing one slipper. Once I was done, I realized that I had folded the slipper the wrong way!! So the stitching on the first slipper I did was not going the same as the 2nd one I did wrong. I tried to remove the stitching, but gave up after an hour. Now I am redoing the slipper again. (actually the 3rd time I redo the same slipper as I did it the 2nd one too big). I might take a break for now...My name is Natalie.
Taylor, I'm so glad this slippers tutorial is EZ for you to Follow ; ) I was hoping it was easy enough...I had beginners in mind when I came up with slipper Design

Jean, Your Right 49 is not old, However, when I was a Girl and Then a Teenager I thought it was...and Now I'm here at 49 and like you said, Now that I'm here at 49 it sure doesn't feel old to me...I still feel like I'm 25. I am So Happy that you like this Slipper Tutorial and Even More Thrilled that you'll be making them for Your Grand Daughters : D I am So sorry to Hear that your 18 y.o. GrandBaby isn't feeling good, I will Pray that she feels better soon and and has a Super Fast Recovery.
Thanks Glama. I have learned how to crochet just a few days ago and finished my first slipper today according to your pattern. It turned out really cute and I am feeling pretty proud of myself.
Thanks for teaching me how to crochet! I made a slipper tonight. Just one. It is too small, and it has a big hole in it... but I'm proud of my effort! I'll try again tomorrow.
Tami, I'm so Glad that you made these for your mother, how'd she like them? What color yarn did you use? Yeah down below I suggested to someone else who left a comment, to dot some Bathtub Silicone and dot it on the bottom of the slippers, there's a white silicone that turns clear when it's dry. I had never heard of Puffy Paint, is that the brand name? If so where do you purchase it? I'm in the process of making a tutorial for the second Bootie Slipper, then I'll get started on the 3rd pair.
This is my first time on your video, and you did a great job here. I congradulation's I really in joyed this..I don't know but just making a suggestion about the toe of the slipper. Have it gathered on the out side then then reverse back to the inside and finish off the top. I am no expert just a suggestion. Don't know how it would look, just a thought, you know ..hope I did not harm anything here.....
this is wonderful. you are great with the cam. i really want to start a you tube tutorial or journal.. i am so shy though..lol you are very personable and are a great teacher!! :)
My mom used to make slippers this way but she knitted them and she did the heels the exact same way as you do. Thank you for posting this. Now I can make slippers for my sons....and me. I just learned to crochet these simple stitches yesterday and I am loving it!

I've been doing that same pattern since 1964, I've made tons of these booties every one in my hamjal has had 2 to 3 sets, through the years , you also can do bead work on them and pieace of jewelry , I now make baby booties of my pwn pattern and baby blankets and GIVEThem to hospital, for new babys, now that is very rewarding when you see them wraped up in them
I love your tutorials! You make them so fun to watch. I hope you do many more. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.

it is so down to earth and well done. she is very sweet and patient...and realistic in expectations of new
learners!!
Thank you for this idea, it's great for a beginner like me, I'm looking forward to trying it. You could make them as pretty or as plain as you like using different wool (yarn!) and buttons like you have added. What a lovely project! Thank you
LouJay, Your Welcome and I'm glad that you enjoyed it, and yes, you can dress them down or up per your preference ; )
Well, that is Awesome! I'm glad you enjoyed this tutorial...you should take a look at My most recent Slipper, it is even more comfy that this one ; )
Wonderful!
THANK YOU!

Take care.

Excellent job!! Thanks for teaching us and making it look simple. Gonna try this!
Thank you and You're Welcome...It really IS super easy to make ; )

Martita, That's Great! And Yes I like Simple Quick Projects...and most of mine are Simple and Super Easy!
This is a great idea. I know how to crochet and I have big feet (12 1/2 in womans) which makes it hard for me to find cute slippers in regular stores.
Those slippers look very very wonderful items of clothing

Lyssa, Your Very Welcome
Aww, you're so sweet to reply :)
I would like to try this easy project can't wait to see the outcome. Thanks for the video
Wonderful tut, great review for me and also so easy for first timers. Many thanks, Diane
Your Welcome ; )
your such a amazing teacher, I learn so fast..you done a wonderful job..thank you so much.
Your Welcome and Thank you for such a nice compliment ; )
Tami, I'm so Glad that you made these for your mother, how'd she like them? What color yarn did you use? Yeah down below I suggested to someone else who left a comment, to dot some Bathtub Silicone and dot it on the bottom of the slippers, there's a white silicone that turns clear when it's dry. I had never heard of Puffy Paint, is that the brand name? If so where do you purchase it? I'm in the process of making a tutorial for the second Bootie Slipper, then I'll get started on the 3rd pair.
Second time around making these slippers. Seeing you in this video I love you as a blonde now. Very pretty!
My first pair of slippers!!!! Just finished them! Thank you for the help!
Thank you so much for this tutorial. I wanted to crochet slippers but I didn't know how. I will try one for me.
