I love this swing card!! I like to do mostly CAS cards but this is pretty close and I think the way you have done it and all your suggestions are just AWESOME. Thank you so much Jennifer!
Jennifer, you come up with such great ideas! This design is so much fun! I can hardly wait to try it. Thank you for always taking the time to make fantastic, high quality videos packed with unique ideas and different ways of using product. You have given me so much insight into really thinking outside the box with the tools I have. I look forward to each and every video you share with us. Thank you so much!❤️🌸
I saw your dancing Santa and friends cards and I saw the iCard videos you posted! This has inspired me to make some of these with my own dies! Thanks so much! Also I love your nails 💅! TFS! I appreciate you taking the time to make these videos as they are very informational and so inspiring! Also, I added the dancing ghost 👻 to my wish list it’s so adorable!
These cards are so beautiful Jennifer. I love the inlay of the leaves. I also love the the turnabout stamp set. And, these swing cards are just so fun!
Jennifer what a festive card! I think I may make lots of leaves for the teachers at our local school! They could put the student's names on them and instant gorgeous bulletin board for the fall! I've never seen this inlaid look before! Very excited to try it!
I bought that autumn leaf stamp set faster than I've bought anything in a loooong time. It popped up on my Instagram page yesterday and I bought it as soon as I could today. It's so unique and beautiful! Thanks for the great ideas on how to use it!
Wow! This is such a great idea. Unfortunately in Canberra Australia we entered lockdown. Need a project while I'm at home and these cards would be great to send to friends and family that I can't visit. Can certainly find stamps and dies in my stash to work with this concept. Big thank you for inspiration. Cheers Lisa
Love this idea! I SOOO love how you share techniques that don’t require purchasing yet another expensive, specialty die! I have two grandkids’ birthdays coming up. I’m hoping to use this technique for both cards. Thank you so much!!! 😊❤️
Leave it to Jennifer to come up with a new, fantastic, and interesting style of card! Your creativity never ceases to amaze me. Love all the detail and work you put into these truly memorable cards. Makes me wish it was the fall season already. Thanks for sharing another great tutorial! 👍💖
Another crisp, detailed, and inspirational video! These cards have me yearning for my favorite season and to come up with my own designs to send to special friends. Luv it! ❤❤❤
For a change, my timing was right on! I just finished ordering from Concord and 9th. I then opened my email from you and you were using the 2 sets I just bought! Now I'm really excited about getting the kits! Thanks for the wonderful ideas you always give us!
These are great! I’m always intimidated by the turnabout stamp sets, but maybe I’ll try them this time. Thanks so much for sharing your techniques and creativity. 😊
Love the metallic embossed leaves! Also, Please don't hate me on me folks but....I am not watching a 48 MINUTE ad for The Gundry Advantage' then another ad on top of that. Wow UA-cam.
I love a video that says No Special Dies needed! I can’t always afford the latest and greatest but I have a few stamps this would work well with! This is such a fun technique. Thanks for sharing!!
Wow, saw this video at the perfect time.🥳. Needed to make a tag.. But the tag was too simple and too small to just sent.. Amazing, this idea makes it pergect, thx soooo much!! 👍 Brilliant as ever 😁
Dear Jennifer, another wonderful video! You are so creative and so precise-which I appreciate. I will be getting the Harvest Wreath turnabout set to try that type of stamping. Can’t wait to start my Thanksgiving cards! Thank you for the great ideas and professional presentation.
Lovely cards! Jennifer, do you have a tip on how to make your metal dies sharp and cut cleanly again? After using for a while, mine seem to leave some rough edges on the die cuts or only partially cut out the shapes. TiA :-)
I think the swinging aspect has way to much involved for me to ever attempt it. But, I think I will attempt my own version of the swing aspect using just a large brad, sort of loosely bent, to allow movement. I will either use a brad that matches the card or maybe cover the brad with paint or a cut out glued on. Thanks for giving me the swinging idea, however.
Fantastic!! Jennifer, for a swing HEART card, where would you place the swing mechanism? At the top of one of the two peaks OR at the valley between the two peaks? I'm guessing maybe the valley so it wouldn't be wonky when the recipient opens the card? Your thoughts please.
Thank you, Jennifer, for being so inspiring! I'm trying to make this card but I don't understand why you glue another small circle under the foam dot...I thought you were gluing the foam dot directly on the panel. And then another question: what makes the leaf swing, the foam dot or the dimension of the three panels? Sorry for the questions, I'm just a beginner! Thank you very much again and have a nice day!
@@jennifermcguireink You mentioned in your video that you use “black pigment ink” and then emboss over the black ink with clear embossing powder. I tried this but didn’t get good results using Momento, which I regularly use with Copics, and the clear powder won’t stay on the ink and stick to the paper. What pigment ink that is black do you use and recommend? Is versa mark fine black ink a pigment ink you can use for this (I do use the clear versa mark for color embossing powder). I am hoping you can recommend a black pigment ink that will hold the embossing powder onto the paper but won’t come out too smudgy either. I learn so much from your techniques and would love to use this one if I can find the right black pigment ink to use. Thanks so much for your advice!! 😀
Great cards. Your creative juices are always working and I'm glad you are willing to share those ideas.
WOW…Sooooo cute and different!!! 💕🌸💕

Thanks. Unfortunately I don't control the ads - it's a youtube thing. I wish I could

I love this technique and these cards are amazing. So much fun.
They are!
Love the technique I can use with dies I already own and a look at some great new sets. Thanks.
Very clever! I thought you'd be using brads or eyelets or some other type of hardware, but you made it all out of cardstock. Impressive, as usual. 😻
Thank you!

I would also try foam as long as it isn't to thick

What brands of pigment ink do you recommend for embossing the words?
For embossing I tend to use Versamark ink and embossing powder most of the time

Altnenew pigment ink
I'm not sure why you need the 3 layers behind the piece holding the leaf. Isn't the foam circle enough to let it swing freely?
I really did it to give the cardstock more stability.
@@jennifermcguireink thx!
Where did you buy the circle die?
heroarts.com/products/di199-circle-infinity-dies-h?sscid=81k5_g7jpj. These are a great value
This is probably stupid, but why is the white cut out needed? Is this heavy weight or cover card stock?
Do you mean the extra layers? Just to make it a bit more sturdy.
Again...would love to know about the different color on your fingernail polish?!?!
check the supply list at the bottom! :)
I don't understand how the die will swing?
It isn't obvious from the photo of the card how it will swing. Watch the video and you will see the simple mechanism that makes that happen.
