- On August 14, Cube Entertainment announced that Soojin would be leaving (G)I-DLE.
Their statement reads:
This is Cube Entertainment.
First, the agency apologizes for having caused concern through the controversy associated with our artist Soojin.
Today, we are announcing the decision that Soojin will be leaving the group.
(G)I-DLE will henceforth promote as five members. We will continue to do our best and provide unstinting support so that (G)I-DLE can show their growth in music and performance.
Thank you.
Soojin has been on hiatus since March after people shared posts online alleging that Soojin had bullied other students in school. Although Soojin and Cube Entertainment denied the rumors, actress Seo Shin Ae eventually came forward and said that Soojin had bullied her when they were classmates together. - Розваги
I think Soojin’s stage presence was very necessary in balancing out the stage group’s presence overall. The song sounds the same though I don’t think it suffers that much, but the performance just lacks that extra fire from Soojin’s presence and it can’t quite be replaced.
I agree. I don’t think the missing voice is the difference. It’s her presence that is missing for me the most in their performances. She brought something sexy in this group. Each of them have something special and Soojin definitely had those sexy vibes that are missing now and even her dancing.
The missing voice will be noticeable if they sing one of their older b side since Soojin shines a lot in b sides
for me i miss her voice in more songs... like it doesn't sound the same and gives differents vibes without her voice, because they made it special for every member, that's why i miss different tones
Yeah their stage presence has declined a lot since Soojin left. It used to be Soojin & Soyeon stage presence that made the group stand out a lot, Soyeon had that firey dominate vibe, Soojin had the softer sexy side so it was a nice balance but now it's just Soyeon it's not the same.
@@josief1538 My thoughts exactly! I think Soojins stage presence was on par with Soyeon so it balanced the groups charisma as a whole. Without her the group seems a bit more dull or relaxed and more like "Soyeon and Friends"
Soojin’s leaving and the song’s theme make me wanna cry every time when I listen to Hwaa... It’s in Hwaa that I found Soojin is not only a main dancer but also a great vocal.

I agree, the main part that hits me is Minnie's pre chorus, Miyeon's hits differently in my opinion tho

Somehow, seeing Shuhua sing Soojin’s part hurts me. I loved their friendship so much. I like to imagine they talk/get together still. ❤️❤️

This was Sojin best song, the verse she has makes it a perfect fit for her, it really shows her on her prime and the signature cry movement with her hands, so good. I just hope she is fine and will always be remember.
I think without Soojin the coreo look a lot less stylized, it's sad because is a gorgeous coreo
I love G-Idle since their debuted. Soojin def helps G-Idle to keep going. No matter what I will still and always support the girl eventho cube is dingdong cuz the girls is so talented and deserve better🥰 and I hope one day Cube realize and bring Soojin back.

The SooMin pre chorus was so ethereal, dramatic, mysterious, it was something special and shuhua has done an excellent 10/10 job but it has lost its magic
Nobody can replace Soojin. The group doesn't sound the same and never will.
Happy that Shuhua got the lines since they were best friends but it just doesn't sound the same and I don't like it...I wished cube would have never let Soojin go. She was and still is my bias and it breaks my heart that from now on I will not hear her in the new songs.
Edit: Learn the difference between dislike and hate :) I do not hate Shuhua and since some people don't know how to read or comprehend I have to clarify that!

@@OldDannyDevito shuhua was criticized for everything:) for her singing, for dancing, for her visual, for her body, she was made fun of at the program for her singing. She was broken back then and this pain needs to heal, and giving her soojin lines is trying to give her more confidence, because soyeon knows what Shuhua feels deep down inside.
Soojin presence was so nice. You can definitely tell something is missing but not in a bad way. The girls do good jobs with just 5 members and suahua singing her line feels right.
I think in some ways the choreo suffers and on the other hand, a lot of their choreo caused someone to always be hidden behind someone else. Which they used to their advantage in this. Musically, I’m perfectly happy with it. Shuhua’s voice is chameleon-like and her range is great. She’s gotten better and better over time and I think a very unfortunate situation has allowed her to shine- I’m sure SJ is proud of her.

it made me think that what if the ot5 b4 practicing hwaa new ver made them think that it's not complete like they would really prefer the old hwaa ver with soojin and keeps thinking about soojin whenever like its her(soojin's) lines man cube really sucks
its sad seeing someone in any group changing their choreography whenever someone leaves/getting kicked out of the group, or groups that are getting disband or already disbanded yk making them think that they got deja vu from their old times with their members

Before, when Soojin was in the group, the group's dancing was more pleasing to watch... Soojin & Soyeon worked together as a nice contrast to each other. Soyeon being firey and dominate on stage while Soojin was softer, elegant & sexy but now without her to balance out the group, I feel like everyone's dance styles are too different so it's not harmonious to watch.
Plus Soojin just had this aura around her which made her really shine this era. Watching this just made me sad that she left the group

well that’s because it kinda was. six is an odd number and the formation looks off, but you can see that it still requires some tweaking to make it a 5 member dance.
yeah but if you see groups with odd members number, theres always someone hiding half of the time, so thats why is easy to take one out

The song isn't bad, and I like the fact that Shuhua's voice can shine more now since she has more lines, but Soojin's voice and stage presence was necessary for the group. I can't say I like any music they've put out since Soojin left. It just feels boring and empty.
Honestly i really miss soojin because she was good and kind person, she also had talent of having good vocals and cheography. also i dont even know why they hated soojin she was a really nice and good person, lets just hope she will come back to our gidle then face our happiness about her again. i love u soojin thank you

there are three approaches towards the way a feel about the new version.
1. it is easy to say yes the song is good with both versions and that the change is going to make it uncomfortable for the members and the fans equally.
2. the formation change is making it obvious that there was a "change" to begin with and older fans are going to notice it. but change doesn't mean its not good rather there will be a sense of loss with every changed choreo.
3. Im really happy that shuhua go more lines in the line distribution was that was the only thing that was constantly making fans sad about the song, its only unfortunate it was at the expense of a lost member.

They ruined her. The accusations are too much. I don't really know what really happened but for me those are too much. I experienced being accused before. Someone was always bullying me verbally, gossiping about me saying things that are below the belt and he was even ruining my project that I put much effort with but my subject teacher sided him and even said that my project is worthless 😢i put my heart on that scrapbook because I was hoping that I will have a really happy highschool life and remain in touch with my classmates 😭 but they always bully me when the teachers wer out and if I got mad or fought back, they were reporting me instead. The teachers are siding them and nobody even cared when I experienced sexual assault although not in school, i was depressed at school but they made fun of me. Even my neighbors spread malicious stories and told awful things about me to my relatives and all treated me crazy till now. I had breakdown that time.😢Some knew the Truth and my situation but I know I'm always so sad and easily mad but they were those who made me know that I'm not a bad person. I'm just so sad cuz I became homophobic and wasn't able to trust anymore after those experiences. But I'm trying my best to cope. I hope soojin is okay cus it's too hard especially she's still so young.
