I have read many books written on Kargil by Indian authors citing interviews of various soldiers and officers who fought there. All of them say two things:
1. Pakistani soldiers fought well even when they knew their situation was hopeless.
2. The planning done by the Pakistani generals was absurd. No sane minded person can draft a plan so fucked up.

What I remember is that Pakistan Government didn't agree until the end of War that they have send their forces and deny any direct involvement due to which our Army was not having any Airforce support. So this was one sided war in favour of India from day first..

During Atal G visit to Pakistan, things were on right track and their was a possibility of peace in Kashmir, as Kashmiris are suffering from a long time due to Pak sponsored Jihadis & Indian Army Atrocities. We common people of India & Pakistan can not even imagine the pain which Kashmiris are getting on daily basis, we didn't lose our dear ones in gun fights..its not about India or Pakistan who wins or who fails, its about Kashmiris who are also the people of Subcontinent.
@jagdishkumar-eb2zc During British rule Afghans accepted the Durand line but when Pak came into existence they created the Mess on Pak borders between 1950s & 1970s as they don't want Durand line as international boundary. Bajaur incident is one of the Prime examples of it. Their army was coming in Civilian dress as Lashkars & their attacks were continously rebelled by local tribesmen due to which Pakistani establishment created tit for tat policy. Pakistan policy makers were forced into Cold War as they want to counter these decade long issues without full fledge war but has its own cons.

اس جنگ سے پہلے پاکستان اٹیمی دھماکے کر چکا تھا اور نواز شریف کلنٹن کی آفر ٹھکرا چکا تھا پھر جنگ شروع ھو گئی تو پاکستان کی فوج کی سپلائی واقعی بند ھو چکی تھی تب مشرف نے اپنے اس ٹائم ڈی جی آئی ایس پی آر کو نواز شریف کے پاس تھا اور مشرف کے کہنے پہ نواز شریف امریکہ گیا تھا اور جنگ بندی کا اعلان ھوا تھا اور انڈیا نے پاکستان کی واپس آتی ھوئی فوج پہ حملہ کیا تھا ورنہ نواز شریف کو کیا ضرورت پڑی تھی کہ وہ امریکہ جاتا ۔۔اس کے دور میں کامیابی مل رہی تھی کشمیر آزاد ھوتا تو نواز شریف کو فائیدہ ھوتا ۔۔۔لیکن ایسا کچھ نہیں تھا پاک فوج پھنس چکی تھی جس کی وجہ سے مشرف نے خود بھجیا تھا
