I just started watching how Ham Radio is operated. It seems fun because I live Rural. We have blackouts if we have a lot of snow so I plan on getting a emergency radio, after some research and listening to Art Bell. I learned it's important to keep communications close if the power goes out. Im still learning about Shortwave and CB. It gets overwhelming because of decisions to buy a ham radio/CB
Thanks so much. Indeed. I have been using mine daily for two years and I am psyched every time I fire it up. Yes sir... I like it. Thanks for stopping by.
Nice first video. Thanks for sharing your amateur radio journey and purchases. I have only been licensed for 4 years myself. You gave me some good ideas. Cheers and 73, Bob W4YDC
Thank you for mentioning K8MRD. I saw a couple videos under his new name the other day and he looked familiar, but I couldn't place who he was. It hhad been about a year since I had seen any videos. Now I know who he is, lol.

There is a lot of information out there and learning about which direction to go is half of the fun. Good luck and thanks for stopping by.

Very nice modest amateur radio station. You don't need a ton of expensive gear to make a contact.. Proof for those who think that is so. 73 F8 ---
Indeed. I need to keep it as simple as possible and still have a lot of fun. Thanks.
