Gotta love this long fuel probe, same as with Black Hawk. Reminds me of medieval lance/spear used by cavalry for charging attack, aggressive look.
Just because the Blackhawk has it doesn't mean they all have it nor that is has relevance. Only the MH-47 and MH-60 has the fuel probes with 160th SOAR.
The Night Stalkers are the most badass out of the US Military. Got a chance to meet one of these guys and man the stories he’s got are some of the most chilling. Better than any book I’ve read.

Chinook'u çok küçükken gördüm, dikkatimi çekti. Tabi o zamanlar "Bu Chinook yaa" diyemiyordum😅 Küçükken en sevdiğim şeylerden biri akşam haberlerini, anlayıp anlayamam önemli değil, izlemekti. Sanırım bir Efes tatbikatının haberi yapılıyordu. O sırada Chinookların görüntüleri geçti. Saf bir şekilde "Aaa uçan kaleler, uçan kalelere ne kadar çok benziyor!" demiştim kendi içimden. O gün bugündür, Chinook'un bende yeri bir başkadır, ayrı severim.

Not really. They have the highest crash rate compared to other helis in the Armys inventory. Also a pain to maintain.

@@Dr.KarlowTheOctoling Relying on money is only gonna get you so far. US overspend and over engineers. One of the traits the Taliban took advantage of with IEDs. Blow up enough expensive equipment and eventually the US wonders if the conflict is worth all it is. Same weakness applies to over hyped programs like the F22/F35 which are unsustainable in a modern conflict due to their cost and upkeep. Why else do you think we built so few of them and barely use them.

Looks nice but it had a rep as a flying coffin due to their crash rate compared to other US Army helis so cant say I like it a lot.
