It’s insane how these people can’t see how condescending and vane they sound. Using your baby for your own vanity is pretty disgusting.
2:48 Yes, I am fatphobic. I am a 5'10" male and at 38 years of age I weighed 245 pounds. I was in this weight range for almost 10 years prior.
I had trouble sleeping. My body odour was awful. I was lethargic. My breath stank no matter how much I brushed my teeth because of the crap that was constantly in my stomach. I'd have limited walking and breathing ability. I would eat junk food to combat the depression, and I would be depressed because the junk food made me so fat.
I didn't join any 'body positivity' movements. I didn't blame society. I turned myself into an unhealthy, fat sack of shit -- that was all on me. I owned the responsibility and finally snapped out of the self pity and did something for myself.
I stopped eating shit. I started power walking. I started looking after my body again.
Fast forward three years. I am a 5'10" male and at 41 years of age I now weigh 175 pounds. I have been this weight range for 2½ years of my 3 year journey. I no longer snore. There is no body odour. My breath doesn't stink. I'm full of energy and can easily power walk 10 miles in just 2 hours on command. I'm slender, lean, fit, healthy - and am looking younger at 41 than what I looked like in my 30's.
WOMEN now take notice of me instead of avoiding me. I've gotten more dates now these past three years than in my entire decade of obesity combined.
Fuck the body positivity movement. Fuck the woke movement. Fuck this narcissistic yet lazy moron who is making her unhealthy eating habits everyone elses problem.
You bet I'm fatphobic, sister. Obesity is a killer. I'd know - I lived like a whale for a decade.
I applaud you, you did the right thing. It's like overcoming any personal vice. I got through alcoholism, they are both addictions. And the reward for the work is the same in either case. I was heading for obesity too for a while. Luckily I was always into walking. I am a big believer in walking. Not even power walking, just be active. Stand, don't sit. I got a job that allows me to walk a lot a be active. Many think it's a bad thing, I think it's paid exercise. I lost 40lbs in a year, am now 150lb (I'm pretty short), and I feel and look much better. And its a constant reward, any time you need to climb stairs or a hill, or just walking or getting up, I feel lightweight and nimble.
I'm SOOO damned tired of hearing about "marginalized people".
Margarinized and marginalized are not the same.
At what point will these marginalized groups no longer be classified as marginalized? 50 years from now? 500 years from now?! 1000 years from now?!
Amen. These days we see actual fights break out between activists groups, over who the bigger victim is. It's literally a race to the bottom. And increasingly I see people in these marginalized groups, for instance transgenders or people of color, getting pissed off at being portrayed as a victim who needs help. The majority of these people do not need or want help from those "allies", and instead urge their co-"victims" to try and be a winner instead of a victim. Sadly you rarely hear about these people in the press.

I was in the air force too man, and it was one of the most profound experiences I have ever had. Although my views on military entities in general has changed, I remember basic training as 2 months where nobody in my flight saw anything past teamwork, brotherhood, respect and love. Always motivating one another to be better and accomplish goals. I think a couple of years serving the country should be a requirement for citizenship. And with there being many non-combat related positions, the opportunity is there for many different skillsets to find their place amongst the ranks. Take care!

Clearly, she needs to switch over to teaching Portuguese. That's almost like Spanish, isn't it, and since no one in the Americas speaks it, it can't be racists to learn it from a white teacher.
(FWIW: I know the Brazilians, among others in the eastern part of South America, speak Portuguese. I just wonder if this college "teacher" knows that, and I wonder how she would react to the suggestion to switch to Portuguese. Been in the military for almost 20 years and every new group of soldiers we get I keep hearing how Basic training is becoming more and more of a joke.
In the Russian army older recruits called deds (grandfather) beat and rape the rookies. Its called dedvoschina yet Russia is getting its ass handed to it in Ukraine.

I screwed up as a parent. I taught my children their colors, multiplication tables and how to read by pointing out road signs and signs at the grocery stores. I left out social justice programs! How will they ever forgive me???

Anxiety is one of the most common diagnoses out there (and one of the most over diagnosed to sell drugs). You think none of the soldiers drafted through history had actual anxiety? Being anxious in crowds doesn't mean you are more likely to break down in combat. In fact they say the shy quiet ones do better than the loud bragging ones. Beyond that, like 85% of the military doesn't serve fighting with a gun on the front lines. They need clerks and mechanics and technicians and drivers and secretaries and medical technicians and radar operators, cooks, they are all serving. Which is one reason I disagree with this idea that all veterans are "heroes". They just aren't. They deserve some respect, as far as that goes beside their own actions and personality, but they aren't "heroes" just because they happened to take a job in a base office somewhere for a few years.
I feel so bad for that baby boy. I hope child services intervenes.

Tyler, I am a 55-year-old man living in Ontario, a place where we share many of the traits of Minnesota. Personally, I have spent a great deal of my life studying the lives and music of Minnesota's son, Bob Dylan. Looking back, I notice since I was 5-years-old that I like girls with brown hair and brown eyes. I fell into it naturally, with no one telling me otherwise. Same, I’m about healthy body styles, as I am trying more and more to get to having one as well, going well so far. Interesting that the US military is pandering to the “self” and not “unity” - a unit works together, does it’s job, relies on each other regardless of colour, creed or sexual preference, the “self” looks after number one and if the “self” decides that “no, I am not going to put myself in harms way today because I disagree with the concept of the mission” the unit is compromised and may fail to achieve it’s mission - crazy to think that the person I may need to rely on for combat support may turn out to be a bigger threat than the enemy.
