I personally never thought about a continuation past the "true ending." The fact of the matter is that trauma is scarring and stays with you for life. You never really get over it, you just learn to move forward with it. This is lovely, looking forward to more.

yeah. i definitely see the true ending as the best, but it doenst mean its happily ever after, it could actually get a whole lot worse, but it gives me the hope that whatever happens, sunny will probably "get better" (unless hero kills him or he gets put in prison and sentenced to death or something, i mostly mean worst case scenario is his friends dont forgive him)
omg this is the only Omori Au I see that doesn't depict Hero as a jackass after the truth scene just because Mari was his gf, him trying to calm the situation down while getting depressed over it is in his character, it's Aubrey's role to escalate the situation, exactly as she did. love it!
honestly, given that hero didnt seem at all mad at aubrey for almost killing basil, you cannot convince me that he wouldve done anything to sunny when he told the truth. he wouldve been devastated, obviously, but theres no way in hell he wouldve hurt sunny in any way. he was so immediately forgiving and understanding with aubrey. so im sure he wouldve understood that they were just kids, and sunny didnt mean to hurt mari, no less kill her.

I FINISHED WATCHING THAT WAS AMAZING I'M SO EXCITED I love everyone's character portrayals and designs (I'm glad Hero wasn't angry/intending to kill Sunny in the confession, and Aubrey's reaction really made me love her), mainly BASILLLL He's amazing in this AU, like it's clear he always looks out for Sunny's protection and things and is markedly more confident than before (noting the kind of 'swap' of dynamic between this au and the game niiiice) but still struggling with awful guilt and loneliness issues... but like where he IS confident is trying to keep Sunny safe and with him. soon enough like half the Omori fandom will be waiting for episodes of this haha just you wait, already amazing art plot and writing will only get better I can feel it
Second Comment: Theory Time!! From [3] and on Will Refer to Card Info 1 - so, Omori is obviously not the voice who's resurfacing Sunny's guilt, we know that much. His text colours appear different, and overall, he acts like he does in game, simply giving Sunny what he wants. He wants to avoid the truth? Blackspace and putting him in Whitespace. He wanted adventures with his friends again? Boom, Headspace. It's clear his goal is still to obey Sunny's wishes. This new voice is different, and my only feasible guess is that it is an evolved version of his 'Something', since in this AU, they have not visibly disappeared. I shall dub this his 'Thoughts' (creative right?) 2 - We did not see the full resolution of the truth in this chapter. We do not know how their processes went, and this could contribute to his 'Thoughts' being as strong as they are, seeing as everything could've been solved just recently 3 - [EDIT: I am mistaken with the decoding thing, it's just because I was on an Android device and didn't have the text, so regarding that on the Card Info, we can ignore it] There's new Somethings, or should I say, they have evolved. In the Card, the ??? character has plenty of text I'm going to spend the afternoon deciphering since I have nothing better to do with my life, but we can see that there is a Something based in Basil's image (specifically HS!Basil it seems), and the Something we're all familiar with, but slightly different, it seems 3a - With new found knowledge that I have acquired using an apple product, it seems that Basil's something has evolved into himself, specifically, his past self that couldn't help Sunny. His Something is no longer clinging to Mari, it's clinging to his inability to help Sunny after everything that has happened 4 - Basil is going to see something in Blackspace, and it shall not be good. We're not completely sure if everyone else is going to be with him, but seeing as Basil has seemingly become our new main/focus, it seems fitting that this will probably have to do with HS!Basil telling him how to get to Sunny 5 - With all these new Basil appearances, I can only suspect that Aubrey shall be more involved than last time, as she has moved in with Basil since complications arose with her mother and her previous living situation. I can only assume it'll be in the same way that Kel was involved with Sunny If you read this, I hope you enjoyed my brain mesh! I'm very excited to see where this series goes and how it will damage my mental state even more :DD
Ok, so there's a cool detail on the drawing that I noticed, and here's my idea and conclusions: On minute 5:19 the voice tells Sunny "The day of your fate is July 20th, the day of your suicide." When we go back to minute 1:18, we can see a calendar in Sunny's wall, a calendar of July. If we look at the date, it is marking July 20th, the exact same day as the voice says, and the rest of the days and months are ripped off the calendar, probably because he won't be alive to see the other days. What can we conclude? We can conclude that this suicide was being planned by Sunny for a time, since there's no reason for him to just rip off the other days. And we can conclude that he will try to kill himself on the day that the story is passing, which give us an ideia of time, not really important to the lore itself, but we can know that there won't be much waiting time until Sunny tries something and that his friends don't have too much time to try to save him, they'll have to go fast. Nice detail on the drawing, it shows that the animation is really well made and thought, not just random things
That scene with Sunny being dragged down reminded me of the scene in A Never Ending Story… where Artax became stuck in the Swamp of Sadness and sank into despair…

I'm 1 minute in and I'm already so hype! Edit: I finished it! It's so good and well done! They're all so expressive and it tears my heart seeing them all be in pain and stressed 😭 The way some parts read like a visual novel is so nice to see! I absolutely love this and it didn't even feel like a 24 minute video. I was enjoying it so much and the next thing I knew it ended! So excited for the next chapters! This was truly worth the wait! :D
HOLY SHIT THIS IS ALL SO GOOD! Definitely the best piece of OMORI content I've ever seen, I can't wait for the other chapters! This just hypes me up to no end, absolutely stunning work. I love what you did with everyone's characters too! Basil is still anxious, but no longer a complete emotional wreck (I also love how his hair is dyed teal as a little nod to Headspace). Hero and Kel both seem somehow even more mature and happy. Aubrey is now more like her old self again - the one we see in Headspace and Sunny's memories, especiallly the ones before the OMORI fight - but also much more mature, collected. You can just see how they're still the same people, and yet have grown so much in these 3 years. It also feels so alive, you can tell that even though this particular works/chapters (We''ll have to wait and see which one) plot revolves around Sunny, that doesn't mean the others haven't changed and interacted in these 3 years - the most obvious examples being Basil's dyed hair and vine tatoo, buth results of him interacting positively with Aubrey again. AND THE ART! OH MY GOD THE ART! I was actually squealling when I saw everyone for the first time, their designs are all so incredible! And the dating sim-like interactions just showcased how good the art is SO much, both the characters and the backgrounds! And the emotions this invoked just felt so real. When Basil stepped into the bathroom, SOMETHING surrounding both him and Sunny, who was holding a knife... I was terrified for both of them. More specifically Basil. Even more specifically, Basil's eye. And the relief when that didn't happen, when Basil took the knife away and everyone else stepped in, MAN it was freeing, Also the awkwardness when Sunny opened the door with a frying pan in towels would've probably made me rip my eyes out if I wasn't busy getting way too hyped over the art, so good job on that front as well. Now, some critique. I loved this every step of the way, if that wasn't obvious from me gushing about all of it so far. And because I love it so much, I want it to be as good as it can be. Now, there are honestly very few things I can criticise about this, but as everything, it's not perfect, and there are some details I'd like to point out. First off, the "Into hell." line before Sunny got dragged down felt a bit out of place. It didn't feel like something Sunny would say, moreso like it was just there to be creepy. It just felt awkward and broke the immersion for me, I think a better line to use there would've been either "I don't know.", "My mind.", "Black Space." (assuming that that's where they went) or "Headspace." (again, assuming they went there) - this is the one that bothers me the most, so I wanted to get it out of the way first. Second off, Basil's tattoo is inconsistent - It's a small detail, but I still saw it almost immediately and it kind of bothered me - in the scene where Basil shows Sunny the tattoo, the vine which the leaves extend out of consists of one line, and the leaves aren't detailed. In the scene where Basil falls to the ground after Sunny is dragged down, the vine consists of two lines and the leaves are more detailed. Again, loved this so much, thank you for working your ass off on this for us fellas - as a practicing animator, I can tell just how goddamn long this must've taken, I honestly wouldn't be surprised to find out you started working on this as soon as the game came out and released it right when you finished - though then again, not everyone is as lazy as me.

I. Am. So. Happy. FINALLY AN ACTUALLY GOOD OMORI VIDEO! I thought I was going to lose my mind with those weird memes. Anyway really good video as I said, the artstyle is different but cool (especially how Sunny's eyes look). I just think that Omori being fully evil and stuff isn't really true in the basegame as he's a defense mechanism (not a mind controlling demon). Other than that little misconception, I just love how Sunny and Basil's minds are just ultra powerful in this AU (they already were but THAT'S just a whole new level.)

We're not completely sure if everyone else is going to be with him, but seeing as Basil has seemingly become our new main/focus, it seems fitting that this will probably have to do with HS!Basil telling him how to get to Sunny
5 - With all these new Basil appearances, I can only suspect that Aubrey shall be more involved than last time, as she has moved in with Basil since complications arose with her mother and her previous living situation. I can only assume it'll be in the same way that Kel was involved with Sunny

Ok, so there's a cool detail on the drawing that I noticed, and here's my idea and conclusions:
On minute 5:19 the voice tells Sunny "The day of your fate is July 20th, the day of your suicide."
When we go back to minute 1:18, we can see a calendar in Sunny's wall, a calendar of July. If we look at the date, it is marking July 20th, the exact same day as the voice says, and the rest of the days and months are ripped off the calendar, probably because he won't be alive to see the other days. What can we conclude? We can conclude that this suicide was being planned by Sunny for a time, since there's no reason for him to just rip off the other days. And we can conclude that he will try to kill himself on the day that the story is passing, which give us an ideia of time, not really important to the lore itself, but we can know that there won't be much waiting time until Sunny tries something and that his friends don't have too much time to try to save him, they'll have to go fast.
Nice detail on the drawing, it shows that the animation is really well made and thought, not just random things

HOLY SHIT THIS IS ALL SO GOOD! Definitely the best piece of OMORI content I've ever seen, I can't wait for the other chapters! This just hypes me up to no end, absolutely stunning work. I love what you did with everyone's characters too! Basil is still anxious, but no longer a complete emotional wreck (I also love how his hair is dyed teal as a little nod to Headspace). Hero and Kel both seem somehow even more mature and happy. Aubrey is now more like her old self again - the one we see in Headspace and Sunny's memories, especiallly the ones before the OMORI fight - but also much more mature, collected. You can just see how they're still the same people, and yet have grown so much in these 3 years.
It also feels so alive, you can tell that even though this particular works/chapters (We''ll have to wait and see which one) plot revolves around Sunny, that doesn't mean the others haven't changed and interacted in these 3 years - the most obvious examples being Basil's dyed hair and vine tatoo, buth results of him interacting positively with Aubrey again.
AND THE ART! OH MY GOD THE ART! I was actually squealling when I saw everyone for the first time, their designs are all so incredible! And the dating sim-like interactions just showcased how good the art is SO much, both the characters and the backgrounds!
And the emotions this invoked just felt so real. When Basil stepped into the bathroom, SOMETHING surrounding both him and Sunny, who was holding a knife... I was terrified for both of them. More specifically Basil. Even more specifically, Basil's eye. And the relief when that didn't happen, when Basil took the knife away and everyone else stepped in, MAN it was freeing, Also the awkwardness when Sunny opened the door with a frying pan in towels would've probably made me rip my eyes out if I wasn't busy getting way too hyped over the art, so good job on that front as well.
Now, some critique. I loved this every step of the way, if that wasn't obvious from me gushing about all of it so far. And because I love it so much, I want it to be as good as it can be. Now, there are honestly very few things I can criticise about this, but as everything, it's not perfect, and there are some details I'd like to point out.
First off, the "Into hell." line before Sunny got dragged down felt a bit out of place. It didn't feel like something Sunny would say, moreso like it was just there to be creepy. It just felt awkward and broke the immersion for me, I think a better line to use there would've been either "I don't know.", "My mind.", "Black Space." (assuming that that's where they went) or "Headspace." (again, assuming they went there) - this is the one that bothers me the most, so I wanted to get it out of the way first.
Second off, Basil's tattoo is inconsistent - It's a small detail, but I still saw it almost immediately and it kind of bothered me - in the scene where Basil shows Sunny the tattoo, the vine which the leaves extend out of consists of one line, and the leaves aren't detailed. In the scene where Basil falls to the ground after Sunny is dragged down, the vine consists of two lines and the leaves are more detailed.
Again, loved this so much, thank you for working your ass off on this for us fellas - as a practicing animator, I can tell just how goddamn long this must've taken, I honestly wouldn't be surprised to find out you started working on this as soon as the game came out and released it right when you finished - though then again, not everyone is as lazy as me.

Anyway really good video as I said, the artstyle is different but cool (especially how Sunny's eyes look). I just think that Omori being fully evil and stuff isn't really true in the basegame as he's a defense mechanism (not a mind controlling demon). Other than that little misconception, I just love how Sunny and Basil's minds are just ultra powerful in this AU (they already were but THAT'S just a whole new level.)
