- Heavy equipment snow blower against Wet cement style snow & How to get the right snowblower for your Machine-whether it s a tractor, loader or skid steer. I learned that if the snow blower isn't matched to the machine- it might not work at all! Big Thanks to Quickattach.com for help sponsoring this video.

Have to be impressed with that Quickattach guy, he knows his stuff.
Love my Quick Attach high flow snowblower 5 years no problems
A lot of good productive information. You make it sound very personable
Thanks Allan !
I live where it doesn't snow but this was a great video to watch. Very cool.
Thank you !
Enjoyed the video end and the maker of the sno thro portion, but the video taker is a real putz.
Wow what a beast! Always something to learn, you never disappoint Stan!
im a fan. i like watching all your stuff. its all good.
Same here 😁
Stan you've gotta check out the snowblowers they put on trains. Those things are awesome.
Will do, thanks Rob!
Yes! Huge machines
Stan, you did a video with a Bobcat!! Heck yeah!!
Glad you liked it Caleb, thanks !
I remember when I was a kid my dads best friend has a snow blower mounted on the back of his 400hp Steiger tractor, that would throw snow over 100ft... it threw the snow over my house lol.
Hey Stanley, your videos are awesome. You asked us to comment on what we would like to see. Well here goes!! I recently bought a bobcat s150 up in your neck of the woods (Prior Lake, MN) and know little about it. Could you do some maintenance videos on skid steers and how to hookup attachments and controls that go with them, operation wise. Thanks Man!!!
Great suggestion Kevin, thank you and thanks for watching !
This is awesome. Just heard of this brand the other day. Great demo! Going to give this blower some serious consideration. Thanks for the videos and God bless.
Years ago at work I torched a bicycle that was tangled in the auger of a snowblower mounted on a skidsteer. The bike had been locked to a parking meter. Covered with snow pushed to the side of the road by the city plow operator. Our Utility Worker did not see the covered bike and ran the bike into the snowblower. Hydrostatic motor had the power to wrap the bike frame around the auger, lot of noise but did not stall the hydraulic motor.
Maybe a video on different landscape attachments when and where to use them everything from box rakes to planers to just 3pt seeders/overseeders. Just the attachments because you can go into all the different type of machines that go in front of them. I guess more specifically what to use going from a bare weedy open lot to after house construction and prepping and finishing for seeding.
I second this. If you have a chance to do this it would be great.
More of tim and his demo techniques. Also go hang with chant for a day or two and do a day in the live with each other. I really enjoyed the landscape vids way back in the day. The new equipment reviews videos are good too. Keep up the good work stan
Thanks Shawn !
Wow that was an awesome video I learned a lot of things that I didn't know either great job man!
Appreciate that, thanks !
Great video Stan!
Learned a bunch about the different blowers available! 👍
Maybe a video about preparations for a big snow storm, the guys , the trucks and equipment etc?
Thank you and a great idea !
Do just a daily vlog type video! New to your channel and just been binge watching some of your videos when I have time! Great Videos!!
Thank you Paul and glad you are here !
I could see one of these being useful to remove snow once collected from a lot to prep for the next snowstorm... but I would expect a large loader to be more effective than a blower.. these are good for long driveways/lots where you have a fence or wall you want to throw the snow over..
I've never done snowplowing and never will .....but it was a awesome video just the same. In England we don't get a lot of snow. 😀God bless
I live right by the plant .nice to see local stuff on here
You already doing it, Stan!
Hey Stan,
That was a great video, I'm going to have to check them out. I'm lining up my ducks to get some property in the country, and I plan to have the house way off the road. So one of those blowers with a 50hp cab tractor would be the nuts. Take care my friend and may God Bless and Protect you and your family Brother. 🤠
Great video brother keep up the awesome work god bless you and your family
Thank you Thomas, you too!
I don’t know y I like watching snow n lawn n landscape as well construction
Thanks for watching !
Great video on the different types of equipment out there, very informative about matching the machines to the correct unit!
Thank you !
snow, snow and snow videos!
Thanks for watching Samuel !
I would like to see some sidewalk tractors with blades and salters. I run Massey Ferguson Gc 2300 with a 60 in Kubota power angle blade and 48 in hydromann drop salter PTO drive. Hard to beat this setup but I sure there is something better. It is your reviews Stanley that will prove me wrong, go get em! Thanks for sharing
I'm in my early 50's so I've seen some snowblowers in my short time on this planet. I remember the old Craftsman drift breakers that were popular where I grew up in northern Vermont. Big, heavy built to chew up foreign motor cycles and VW bugs for breakfast. The Toro came out with those paddle things, then snowblowers started getting cheaply made with stamped metal that would crumple when you tried to attack the drift of snow the city plow decided was a good idea to put in front of your driveway. Plows for trucks had hydraulic control on a T handle joy stick mounted to the floor of the truck. Then things got fancy! I find my self having to and wanting to go back to school for heavy equipment operation. Do you have any schools to recommend? Good video and love your channel!
Well said!
I too liked the true hydraulic controls!
Wish they would make a variable rate electronic control to smooth the plow movements
Snow videos and what do you think is the best walk behind snowblower.....I've had a honda now I own a yamaha...but there are other brands out there ....toro ect . Love your videos
Blow the snow away from the curb areas into the plow areas, and increase the height of the piles by blowing the pile higher and higher in one spot. Saving space for future snow events
A snow plowing time lapse 🤤🤤
Hey Stan. I would love to see a battle of the mini skids... Toro dingo, bobcat mt, vermeer, ditch witch. Who makes the best machine for the money.? Thanks.
I've had great luck with a Jackson M6T22. Best bang for the buck by far.
I second this. I have a Ditch Witch Sk650 and am looking to upgrade to the Sk1550.
I second this! All we do is mini skid work, limited access jobs. I have a MT85 a MT52 a 463 and a S70 bobcat that I could provide.
I could easily get my vermeer guy, and ditch witch guy, in on a mini skid shootout. LOCAL IN WISCONSIN.
I totally agree about the mini skid battle!
+Tread Lightly Services LLC. I just got rid of my little bobcat s70. It was a great machine but I am seriously considering a ditch witch sk800.
I'm sold💪💪💪💪
Thanks Stan for all the great content! I would like to hear discussion on managing quality control and customer satisfaction. What have you found is the best way to respond to a customer's complaint? How do you handle employees with poor workmanship and motivate them to do better? Especially in relation to snow season as many of us currently are in. I find the more plow trucks that are on the route, the more likely it is there will be callbacks ect. I would enjoy hearing tips from a veteran in the game ;)
Great video man
Thanks Casey!
Hey Stan, love your videos. You have talked many times about down force on your plows to get a better scrap. With your skid steer, telling your drivers not to lift the front wheels higher than a piece of paper or on your rear plows, able to lift the rear truck tires off the ground. You have often talked about the differences between chain lift and cylinder lift on your truck front plows, but I haven’t heard you talk about the advantages of down force from a cylinder lift front plow. Boss offers a down force option on new straight blades. This is not an add on option. It has to be ordered with this option. I have only used chain lift plows, but they say you can get a better back drag scrap if you have this down force option. I read somewhere it puts an additional 250 pounds on the scrap. I was wondering if you’ve used one of these. I haven’t heard what it cost yet.
Thank you and thanks for watching !!
Personally, I'd like to see some small scale logging type videos if you could come up with anything. Things like attachments for skid loaders or tractors. Maybe different options for processing firewood.
That's a possibility, thanks for the suggestion !
I want to see you put that new Ram truck and Snow Dog plow to the test.
Good vid brother
Thanks !!
Hay Stan lets discuss that chain statement. I will start by saying he is correct about matching the blower to the machine. As far as using dual hydraulic motors vs one motor with a chain, when I purchased my loftness machine many of the mechanics and people that owned them urged me to purchase a chain system using one hydraulic pump. The statement they made was that using 2 motors will divide the flow from the machine therefore reducing power. In this video they are using a large machine with a good amount of hydraulic power/flow. I have a small machine mustang 2054. Final thoughts for me is this if the snow is super wet and heavy I will use a blade or bucket. If it is light and fluffy the blower is great. If I were to purchase a new machine (skid loader and blower) I would look into a high flow machine. That being said I haven’t run a high flow unit yet.
Waiting for some ice management videos. Salter comparisons maybe running dedicated salt trucks vs plow trucks with salters in them
20 something years moving snow in newengland and the hydraulic powered blowers are quick simple and easy to use but they lack the power even with the high flow rates. They dont have the throwing distance. Even with the modified rubber plates on the auger. Cant load trucks easily. The snow blower with a pony motor in my opinion kicks ass.
Great vid. Thanks
Thank you !
Nice video! However I was mislead by the title, thinking it was going to be a tractor mounted snowblower vs a skid steer mount. There was nothing about a tractor regarding this snowblower :)
I’d love to see some tractor driven vs skid steer driven snowblowers. I’d imagine the mechanical PTO drives would be considerably more powerful than the hydraulic drive of the skid steer (hp for hp)
Thanks for the suggestion and thanks for viewing !
Garden tractors and what to look for. Food plots, snow removal, which brands etc
Thanks for the suggestion Quinn!
Thanks for the video. I see you’re in Alex, home of Big Ole!
sorry but not alex. fosston water tower in background !
We have a snow blower from them very nice quality built unit not a high flow just regular flow model we have throws it nice .
Wait did he say snowblower for ATV s Wow Cool video If you have atv snowblower video let me know thanks
I wanna see a video of side-walk shovelers vs snowblowers... who's really faster & more efficient? on an average snowfall 2-4in
Great idea, I will keep it in mind. Thanks!
I did it for a while we had about a 40" snowplow shovel and i could really clear some snow with that thing probably 10 times faster than a snowblower in 2" anything more than that you have to really work. The snowplow is the name of the shovel
@@fohdmoco Been running snowplow shovels for years. never anything bigger than the 30" tho they get too heavy to manuver...but definitely the best shovels in the world.
@@Gone8Fishin yeah mines a 36 but they make 48
Awesomeness love the video keep it up
Thanks !
Hey Stan, Really like the equipment vids. Also own my own business and with you doing some of the research. I can make a comfortable purchase. Thanks!
That's awesome to hear and thanks for watching !!
That thing is beautiful. We could definitely use one here in Iowa. Surprised I'm the 2nd to watch and comment lol
Appreciate you watching, thanks!!
I want to see more videos on skid steer attachments
Thanks for the suggestion Matt
Plow videos not so much about the plow but tips on bidding commercial and residential.
Good suggestion, thank you !
Machinery that makes me more money similar to what u just showed us above and those who use them or make them.
If your looking for ideas, how about a video for us people at home that want to clear the driveway and sidewalk on the cheap, line a riding lawn mower with a snow blade or snow blower or even a ATV or side by side with a blade or snow blower?
Good ideas John, thanks !
Please do a video on why you decided to buy grandstand mowers
I will keep it in mind Noah, thanks!
Stan... I would like to see you test out a John Deere X739 4 wheel drive/all wheel steer garden tractor with a 60 inch deck. They can mow up to 10 mph, work great on steeper hills, and they can actually mow a tighter circle around a 12 inch diameter pole than most zero turns. (By hills I mean too steep for zero turns without sliding down, when going down, or sliding sideways, when going across the hill, especially when wet.) I realize Ventrac can preform well in these conditions, but it is so very expensive, compared to the X739 JD.
Do you have to have high flow ?
the design of the blades of blower make all difference depending on the type of snow you have. If you have heavy, wet near zero(C) snow then no standard blower is going to move that snow. There are two major factors, fan/ejector design, and auger design. The old standard augers won't move wet snow, it will just plug up with now. So first off you need an ejector that is a fan type design. Then you need augers that have paddles to move and break up the wet snow. Now those blowers are really hard to find.
Two stage snow blower competition. Then at the end eat up a damn electric snow blower. Loved seeing the Ryobi get destroyed. lol.
Hey Stan I would like to see a video about commercial salt & sand spreaders and salt brine spreader for snow and Ice maintenance!
Also why do you guys not use any salt & sand on your commercial lots?
can you do some videos on how you use wood at your house and what you recommend on your usage and seeing what the manufacturers are saying
For someone lacking knowledge this is a great video.... off topic how are you liking your new Ram? You always had Fords was wondering what you thought of the Ram so far.
Dang! That’s cool! That would be good for the snow I got lol
Thanks for viewing !
I would like a video about where to pile snow when plowing
At 7:30 what is the attachment behind the guy. It looks like a huge saw? Is it a concrete saw?
Quick Attach 1825RS is their 18inch Xtreme Cut Rock Saw used to cut through asphalt and concrete
I think Mad Max ordered that one.
These are nice on a skiddy
Have you or would you consider doing a side-by-side comparison on the single arm Volvo skid-steer line against the JCB line of single arm skid steers
Good luck to you
So did he have a blower for your frontend loader that you have an how much do they run?
I’m looking for a skid loader attachment that I can shave my legs with
Housing authority up in my area uses them for side walks if they weren’t so expensive I would use it over a snow blower to make life easier for me
I want to see a truck mounted snow blower....are they worth it?
Bobcat rules!!!!
Hey Stan - we got 1cm of snow here in the UK what do you recommend to prevent absolute panic by the authorities when people wake up to find the tarmac dusted white? Hope you are not suffering to much with the polar vortex...
Whats the best in the snow, tracks or tyres?
Snowblower on a Skid Loader is the best way to move snow.
how do those tracks hold up on snow on the asphalt and concrete any problems pushing
I'm thinking about buying a 95 horsepower Kubota what do you think about that I can afford to buy only attachments I'm looking for one good loader that can handle it all how about the reputation of the Kubota do you like that please let me know
Is it better to buy a used mower or new? Price comparison and value?
I am looking at a s185 and saw in another video that you have one. What do you think of that machine?
Do a video on all of your inventory like trucks, mowers, excavators etc...!!!
Good idea Aidan, thank you
I have a new holland lx 665 with high flow what would work for me as far as the snow blower please help me out I will be looking to puri a new blower
Advice on homestead equipment what to buy for 3 - 10 ackers forest and paster
Ever done a Gravely Brand Snow blower or push blade video? Yep I see it now
Choppin it up like a garbage disposal!
I want to see what you take with you on an adverage day of snow removal
Good idea, thank you !
Me too......
Snow blow or a snow plow for a skid steer? What is better and why
That first snow blower they showed for the tractor is backwards you have to drive over the snow before it blows it if it's really deep or drifted you're going to get stuck
Yup as long as you get it before its too deep, your fine. Its for people who have long drives and nowhere to plow snow or care about not scraping the gravel off the drive.
It's meant to be like that, it's an option that people love. Not sure if you have ever done it but when you are driving in reverse looking backwards for 16 hours things can get pretty turned around on you
I have never seen one like that
They are really helpful. Completely right about if the snow is to deep but you have to get to it before it gets to heavy
Another great video! I would like to see some snow plowing action. Also have you ever seen an Avant loader I would like to get your thoughts on them
Thanks Mike, thanks for the suggestion too !
You should talk to Josh at skid pro in Alexandria Minnesota lots of good equipment thank you have a good day
If you're going to do that, why not just buy it direct from the Manufacturer, Accessories Unlimited out of Detroit Lakes, MN? Skid Pro is a broker for them for the snowblower attachment and a few others. As a broker youre one contract away from losing parts and service support.
@@koolhair79 I know my neighbor is one of the owners very good equipment I've got quite a few different attachments from them I've had no problems with any of them
Thank you Kevin !
Do you use any Toro multi force equipment for snow removal?
I'm wondering if these can be scaled up for the front end of a truck
You could check out mtenorthidaho.com/2017/01/30/boss-hogg-40-horsepower/
What about that other truck you bought the half ton, you were going to have video on after u bought the ram
Atv snowblower what the best one to buy
Waiting for the new snow vids ( MN got hit with snow 10/20/2020 )
You remind me of Richard Rawlings
Hey I’m thinking of starting my own lawn service I would like to know what is the best way to promote your business and the recommendations for what equipment to invest in
