@@InterstateKyle The San Rafel Reef looks likes the Vasquez Rocks off CA-14 in California but much bigger. That was my impression the first time I saw it in 2001.
Kyle, thank you so much for sharing this---Utah is truly a beautiful state---the high desert, with its stark, uncluttered landscape, always brings a clarity of mind and spirit to me...this was greatly appreciated, sir!
My husband and I drove this on a cross country trip in July of 2016. Westbound first, then a few days later eastbound. (Yes, eastbound is much better!) Thank you for this video! It brought back some great memories!
Thank you so much for sharing this Kyle! This brought back memories from when I drove semi over the road back in the 80’s. I drove that very stretch of interstate westbound headed to California. Long and boring I thought back then. It really is a beautiful drive! Again thank you faithful Friend for sharing this! With full respect always! I’m still here! Mark in Iowa.
While you’ve featured some great bands over the years, Kyle, including the Little River Band, Pat Metheny Group and Kansas to name but a few, I’ve always returned to the videos for which you chose EDM tracks, as I feel they really suit the experience of driving through the epic landscape at speed. Your 2020 San Rafael Swell video with “You and I”, and that of US50 west of Monarch Pass with “Come Home” are a fantastic combination of images and music. Epidemic Sound offers a similar musical experience, so I’m all for it! Meanwhile, it’s great to see the San Rafael Swell looming up ahead in this video. You’re right that the eastbound trip is more spectacular, but it’s great to see it in the westbound direction too. I can’t wait to be there to experience the drive myself. Thank you for sharing, and I look forward to more! Greetings from Scotland.
My favorite Interstate stretch in the whole country! The entire I-70 west of Denver is amazing, thanks to Glenwood Canyon as well as the Continental Divide crossing at the Eisenhower Tunnel. Whenever I can drive there, I consider myself very blessed!
By using Epidemic Sound, you’re really able to set a particular mood. It’s also great knowing I don’t have to worry about a video going missing when I want to view it again, or show someone else. The narration at the end gives it quite the human touch!
I really liked and appreciated this video. While I can do the Google streetview of I-70 west of the Reef, I wanted to actually see what driving that section would be like. I hope you've got more of the stretch you'll put up! It's far more scenic than I thought - even when looking at street view!
Good one! I've seen several EB videos, and that perspective is the best, IMHO. I do plan to take this drive again-EB-one of these days. This is also an area where an 80 MPH speed limit is definitely warranted. I could not imagine doing that area at 55....Or 65 for that matter.
I know Interstates go through areas and Mountains that get destroyed. But c'mon, this is just amazing. Went through the San Rafael Swell last year, it's a very impressive landscape.
There's nothing like a Utah road trip, whether it's interstate or 2 lane roads, and I doubt there's any other interstate that has U turn signs, but i70. (4:50 and 5:00) Great video!
Young whipper snapper 😂 I recall when just west of Green River, I 70 was a two lane road designated as I 70. The Navajo would sell their jewelry at the rest stops. Green River has this great Mexican restaurant and a melon fest which is small and fun. Eagle cyn is a special place and a vacation destination for those on the Wasatch front.
While there are no services on I-70 between Green River and Salina, if you get off at Exit 91 and head 15 miles north, you come to the town of Emery which does have a gas station. Its the only reachable gas station on that entire stretch of highway. If you're heading westbound the side trip comes out to only about 15 miles sooner than Salina, but eastbound its a whole 70 miles sooner than Green River.
@@InterstateKyle Latest DLCs are the highly anticipated Texas and Montana and they're on the works for Oklahoma while also slowly giving California a fresh coat of paint (Northern California is beautiful now) and that's at the same time as doing the same thing in Euro Truck Sim 2. Yeah, SCS is big now.
I know FWJ drove and filmed there back in 2013, but comparing that to 2020 when you drove there, Kyle, I think I don't see any difference depending on the same season.
Oh yes, i enjoyed this video very much. Such beautiful views.
Thank you very much, Kyle.
Greets from the Netherlands.
I have driven this interstate twice in the last 22 years. The middle of no where is an understatement.
The remoteness adds to the beauty in my opinion!

It really is! Thank you for watching!
The music is great. I prefer it over copyrighted stuff. Also love that you're adding narration to the end. Keep it up!
Thank you! Really appreciate that :)

Glad you enjoyed it! Always enjoy reading your comments mark! Have a good one my friend!
This is the 2nd time I’ve watched this episode. It’s well worth a worth another look.

Amazing view along interstate 70

Thank you Matt! Really wanna capture the EB drive with the 4K camera, my last footage eastbound was filmed 3 months before the camera upgrade.

Went through the San Rafael Swell last year, it's a very impressive landscape.
And on top of that this was built on a previously undiscovered landscape.

Stop at Mom’s in Salina for eats. The fossils at rest stops along the way are interesting.

When I saw the road sign saying "No services for a 106 miles" My jaw dropped
Kyle, what is I70 like between Salina and Green River? Any serious twists and turns or areas where you have to ride your brakes?
THis spot was recreated well in American Truck Sim
Does that also mean there won't be anymore videos unavailable in Canada because Copyright?? 🤩🤩
I haven't played that game since it first came out! Wonder how its changed since then!
