Hi Sara Jane! When you mentioned about the Drew Barrymore Chair and a scratching post for cats...I was yelling at the TV and said, Yes!! My cats have found it for that use too! They even have a scratching post. I've been upset that they have done this BUT you are right, it is hard to tell that they have scratched it. MERRY CHRISTMAS!
