Ok so they desecrated the graves by first removing all but one headstone, then putting concrete on top of them, then building retail stores around it, then putting up a fence so others like them can't vandalize or visit the graves. Who's bright idea was this??? Thanks Scott for showing this and honoring the Hendersons. ❤

Scott, in the future, when you want to find out about something like this obscure cemetery, and you can't find out anything about it online, I would strongly suggest that you look up and see if that city or county has a historical society. You could email your questions to them in advance, and you might get a lot of really good information from the locals who have lived in that area a long time, and know the history behind that cemetery or other type of significant place you are curious about (but are not finding out what you need online).
Most areas do have a historical society. And these might be a valuable resource for you when you are doing your research.

I have a suggestion if your still in my home state of Georgia. In alta vista cemetery in Gainesville Georgia there's the grave of Cooper scott. He is the first person to fire the first cannon at fort Sumter to start the Civil War.

I live in Atlanta. I thought I was good knowing that there's an old magnolia tree behind Ponce Market (behind Whole Foods) that also has a plaque describing how it was the spot where Ponce Ballpark was (Babe Ruth would play a game there). But Scott, this is now a 2nd video I've seen of unknown cemeteries in parking lots around my area. It is said that GA historians say that you go to Savannah for history: Atlanta builds over its history. Kudos for informing me of these forgotten cemeteries.

Being from Chicago it's crazy to me how these strip mall cemeteries are all over the south. That's what I call them. There's one not far from my house in the same lot with a donut shop, hairdresser, and Chinese restaurant. If I were do die, I've decided that I don't even care where I end up, but as a visitor to a loved one, I would much rather visit them in a traditional cemetery. I can't imagine having a grave side service for someone I love in a place like this. I guess it's convenient if you planned on going shopping or grabbing a donut afterwards but if you're heartbroken and mourning someone close to you, I just don't think it's the best option. Still interesting Scott and sure worth stopping to visit if you come across one of these in your travels. Maybe Best Buy sells worship music they could use for the service. Then it would be worth it 😅 ... no kidding though when I say RIP to all of those buried here ❤ 💐

This crazy! There is one near downtown Miami. It is a Indian Burial grounds and they started to build a park when they found it and made them stop. I heard there were more burial grounds that are u der buildings now. There is an untouched burial ground at the Deering Estate. You have to go on the tour to see that one.

There’s a Best Buy in Peachtree City that has a graveyard connected to it…there once stood a segregated church in that lot but was tore down in the late 90’s or early 2000’s for Best Buy’s construction

I just watched a video on a road in California that was paved over a cemetery. There are actually little coin looking things in the cement that actually say "Grave Site" on them. So, the graves are sort of marked, but, if you visit them you might get ran over. Pathetic the amount of disrespect for the dead.

That’s my Best Buy and Aldi’s. The Henderson family was very prominent in early DeKalb County. Henderson Mill Road, Henderson Mill Elementary, Henderson Mill Middle and Henderson Park are not to far from there.
DeKalb County is the only county in the nation to have CEO as the head of its government.

Hey Scott if you want to check out another weird Cemetery location, at Kentucky Expo Center they share a lot with Kentucky Kingdom & there's a cemetery in the parking lot called Oldham Family Cemetery

Scott, you should cover the graves that are in the Savanah Georgia airport. Obviously you’d have to take a flight that is guaranteed to depart off of runway 10 and you’d only get a few seconds of footage but it would be pretty cool.
Well here in Australia, in some cemeteries there is a lease on the plot and after that lease runs out and you don't pay to renew it, the plot gets reused, and who knows what happens to the remains already there and the headstone.

That is awful, they are not the only ones that put their town greens here in CT, I tell everyone that they are walking on dead bodies underneath (Guilford Town Green and New Haven Town Green). People back then put their own needs about the people who are buried, who had family members that loved them. I can't stand it!

We still have a Best Buy in our town here in East Texas. No CDs anymore haha but other crap there for sure! Crazy, interesting, seeing these cemeteries around places of business, also kind of disturbing. If they will do this, other crooks would just pave over them like they have done in Houston Texas.
Whoever built up around this small plot is just disrespectful as all get-out!! 😡 All that noise and goings-on when they are supposed to be resting peacefully. To top it all off, the 8 stones are now hauled off and destroyed - that family paid for those! *_ANNNND_* they had to have a whole to-do about "saving" the cemetery/plot of land, too??? What were they going to do with the buried people? (Well, apparently, pour concrete right over them)!! Unconscionable!
