I am pretty sure that the economics of the place these are made is what allows that. There is no way these could be sold for the same price if they were made in the USA or in Austria, Germany etc etc. That doesn't really excuse the lack of accessories provided by other manufacturers. Just the price differences.
@@raifsevrence I agree, but it'd still be something manufacturers could include to attract repeat buyers. Even at those price points. It's like Christmas when you buy from some lower $$$ brands and opening it to find cleaning brushes, a holster (crappy or not), the obligatory lock/key.....etc.
Just picked one up and it's a great piece right out of the box. A bit on the large size for EDC but doable if you convert the stock holster from outside to inside the waistband. Overall hard to beat for the price.
The original _TP9 SFT_ released few years ago had a threaded barrel, as did the _Mete SFT_ released in Turkey/Europe last year. Not sure why Century Arms is rebranding the _Mete SF_ as the "Mete SFT" in the US. You should contact them about it, and perhaps tell them to do the general release with the threaded-barrel as it should be.
@@bryy2053 honestly I just plain shoot better with it. Definitely has the better trigger out of the two. That said whatever one you choose I don’t think you’ll be disappointed at all. 2 great pistols
They remind me of Aero Precision in the AR world, I do not think it is a coincidence both companies roots are in aerospace manufacturing, not guns, in that industry if you do things less than perfect really bad things happen and people die, sometimes in large numbers.
I looked into the Mete series and per Canik themselves (email response), only (2) mags, just one holster and you don't get a threaded barrel. I'm not sure where or how this kit is acquired. I want one.
I agree that Canik are awesome. Great triggers, accurate, bang for buck unbeatable.... But the Mete is still kind of the same Canik. Would like to see them break through the single stack barrier or even micro compact. Would LOVE to see them make a compact that doesn't weigh full-size weights. That's just me. This Mete doesn't quite excite me because mostly it's just another like the other.
If they ever do we likely won't see them in the US. Import restrictions for small handguns are tough which is why we usually see imported small pistols with strand features such as magazine disconnect safeties, target sights, etc. The BATFE has a whole point system that pistols have to meet.
Nice to see you point out yet another example of how Glocks are inferior to many other guns on the market (yes Glock fans I know they are super reliable, I shot thousands of rounds through them as my assigned sidearm).
I love my Caniks, but three dot sights are a deal breaker. Tired of buying new guns and having to change out the sights. My old eyes don't like 3 dot sights, blacked out rear and fiber optic front work best for me. The Warren Tactical that came on the Elites were great.
@@redeye8526 I have some pistols with red dots but like my iron sights too. This particular gun I would want to keep iron sights, blacked out rear fiber optic front or night sights.
I hate when people say good pistol for the MONEY the pistol either good or not good you either like it or hate it money has nothing to do with the product To the East to the West CANIK is the BEST Period
I think about it from a different perspective. It's not a derogatory statement. It's a qualifying statement. Objectively, products in different price ranges tend to have different degrees of quality and different ranges of features. Is it actually reasonable to compare a High Point to a Bul Armory SAS II ? That's a deliberately absurd question. Some people will absolutely say "A High Point is a good pistol for the money". That's going to depend on how you feel about a High Point. I would never say that because I strongly dislike High Points. Setting aside my personal opinions about them, they are very reliable guns. That makes it perfectly and furthermore, I'd say rather *necessary* to add the qualifier "It's a good pistol for the money" when speaking of a High Point. Transferring that logic to products in the price range of a Canik, it makes sense once again to use the same phrasing. To me anyways. I am not likely to compare a pistol in the $400-600 price range (an extremely well saturated market segment) to something in the $900+ range. Caniks may very well hold their own against guns well up into the $800's, maybe even more. Some pistols are more expensive because of where they are made rather than how they are made and what they are made with etc. It's something that would require handling and testing to get empirical results. I would confidently pit my TP9 Sf Elite against anything in its price range. I'd probably pit it against things a tier above its price range as well. They really are damned good pistols. The qualifier is still there though because I guarantee you there is an objectively better pistol out there if you have thousands to spend on one.

Reliability is the only claim to fame Glock has ever had. Until Gen 5 they had other issues like lousy triggers and low quality plastic sights.
Should i get a sft or an sf(which isn't as popular for some reason). Purpose for training
And do they have the same trigger feel ?
The SFT will be easier to shoot and offers higher capacity. The SF is more versatile as it's still a carry size.

No
Why no available safety key
For some reason, I can’t get my gun to go back together. I don’t know why. But something is keeping it from going back
Will this fit a 507k x2 or 507c x2. Which would be better
You'll want one with the small Shield-size footprint. The gun comes with multiple plates
