The opening is actually a train heading south from NYC in NJ, next to the turnpike in the Meadowlands. It's not a train from Brewster, NY. The skyline tracking shot is from Weehawken, NJ.

I loved this show as a boy. I loved the opening sequence where they always found a way to say "That Girl", freeze frame, and then go into the opening music. It kinda thrills me just to see those moments. I liked the first season opening, but the next seasons were the best. The last season where the theme was sung was ridiculous. It was best when Danny Arnold produced it. He was the producer and creator of Barney Miller, and I heard that it was actually he who created Bewitched. However, the show went downhill when Sal Turtletaub and Bud Orenstein took over production. They always seem to drive shows into the ground....shows like Love, American Style and Sanford & Son. The only real success they ever really had was What's Happening. They always seemed to make superficial changes to shows that were pointless. They made audiences clap when the main characters appeared on episodes of S & S, and they added lyrics to That Girl.
Ann's raspy voice went into overdrive in this episode. Barry Sullivan kept calling Ann, "Miss Mary." Two annoying parts of an otherwise very good episode.
One of the funniest finales in sitcom. Played to perfection.
