  • This hack by swapping water for bone broth is such an EASY way to get more nutrients into your body while packing your rice with flavor! Keep in mind, this is the base model. You can add whatever seasonings and more to your own rice to amplify the taste! 🤌🏻
    FULL RECIPE ⬇️
    INGREDIENTS (multiply to make more)
    - 1.5 cups of @kettleandfire Chicken Bone broth (any bone broth flavor works use code "Calwillcookit" for discount on your Kettle & Fire Order)
    - ~1-2 tbsp of @4thandheart Garlic Ghee
    - 1 cup jasmine rice
    DIRECTIONS
    1. Rinse your rice thoroughly.
    2. Add to pot with bone broth.
    3. Bring to a boil, once boiling pop the lid on and lower heat. DON'T touch it for 20 minutes.
    4. Turn off heat, remove lid and add in ghee. Then mx and fluff the rice.
    5. Add anything else you'd like such as spices and herbs or keep it simple.
    6. ENJOY! 🙌🏻

I make sticky white rice, when it’s done and still hot I put some in a bowl along with tons of butter, sugar & cinnamon. Stir well & enjoy, it’s probably not healthy but it’s so good!

I’ve been wanting to use bone broth instead of water for rice so I’m glad I found this video, my only concern is how do I count the calories of the bone broth since the rice absorbs it and I’d be preparing a week’s worth of servings?

    • @misterlegg
      @misterlegg Рік тому +5

The easiest way would be using MyFitnessPal and just count the amount you’re pouring in, Count the total amount of rice, and divide the total by the number of servings you’re using.

    REDUCE RICE ARSNIC.
    1. Rinse the rice throughly.
    2. Leach the rice by soaking for several hours.
    3. Drain and rinse again.
    4. Now steam the tender rice.
It will be loose and fluffy.
    In less cooking time.

Not only is it extremely high in saturated fats, it is likely THE reason for why India has such high heart attack rates (and other cardiovascular problems).

@@shengki333I'm assuming English isn't a language that you've mastered yet. But what I think you said was: "if you read the first result on Google, it says eating ghee in moderation is ok.'
My response to that would be:
      1. You've just agreed with me that Ghee isn't healthy.
      2. Smoking a single cigarette every once in a while isn't going to kill you, however smoking everyday will increase your chances of early death significantly. Just like consuming ghee. It's still a very unhealthy product.
      3. How would you define moderation? No more than 10 grams a day (less than a table spoon)? Once a week? Once a month?
People in India clearly aren't consuming ghee in moderation.
When it comes to ghee, just like cigarettes, why even consume it at all if your body clearly doesn't want it. And there are much healthier alternatives.
Again, it is your life. You are allowed to make bad choices. Just don't try to convince me that they aren't bad choices when the evidence is clear as day.
