Going to try the Hot Tools. I've read too many reviews that the Revlon breaks! Might as well spend the $20 now rather than another $50 later. Also, you have BEAUTIFUL hair -- either curly or straight!
I was watching another UA-camr review these two products and the revlon one stopped working on her too! It overheated and turned itself off but was apparently ok again the next day. The verdict though was, “Go for the Hot Tools version.”
Hi! I have the hot tools and it truly is a game changer- and is way better in the long run compared to the revlon. The hot tools gives a smoother finish and has interchangeable barrels of different sizes for those with shorter hair.
I have the saaaaame hair and I’ve learned to have pin straight roots without even having to touch them. Wash hair part brush and put in a low bun or braid over night the roots will dry straight and all you need to worry about is the rest
There’s a sale at Ulta on the 29th of May (2021). The Hot Tools drier will be half off. I hope it’s ok to post this. And your hair is beautiful curly and it’s beautiful straighter. :)
I’ve literally been fighting over which one to get because I love my hot tools curling wand. I just cancelled the order for the Revlon. Thank you for the video!!
@@niadean9518 I ended up just going with the revlon because I found it at a good price in store. I am honestly still upset I didn’t try hot tools. Amazon has their 1inch non-detachable one for $35 right now
@@ravenazriel6651 Oh great thanks for the heads up! Looks like we'll be in the same boat, both with the revlon for now lol. I'm definitely tempted to try the hot tools, but I'll fare with the revlon for now.
@@RoxanaAdahi I’m a hair stylist. Yes all heat damages hair but it grows back about a half inch every 5-6 weeks so I say have fun with it and don’t sweat the heat. Just look fabulous. Ha!
You are so beautiful and I love your hair. The Revlon disappointed me because the bristles melted and bent down. I'm getting the Hot tool today and can't wait to try it.
How long did it take you to dry your hair? My daughter has curly hair like yours and she’s going to want to do this to her hair. I have three new hot brushes but haven’t used them yet because I want to read the reviews and watch videos first. I know one of them is a Revlon. I definitely may not keep that one if it’s going to stop working. You are gorgeous. How many days can you get from your style? Thanks.
How long does the blow dry last? Do it get curlier as the day goes on?❌❌ The moment it broke UA-cam showed a commercial... just like the commercial breaks we see on TV when something bad happens. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I'm literally on here looking for these tools breaking!! My Hot tools just did the same thing!! It's been a year and I do use it a lot. Wondering which I should buy or repurchase.
So, since it's almost a year later can you try getting the smaller Revlon and trying it out? I have the same type of hair as you and I heard the smaller one really gets those roots smooth. This hot tools one gets the roots also quite smooth but the price is a bit steep for me. If you can review it, that would be awesome. :D BTW ima new subscriber! I love your videos, keep up the good work :)
@@SharleneR thank you! Also I have super curly hair and wanted an alternative to straightening. This video has made me a believer! Your hair looks amazing!
Hey RJ. I’ll be putting together a video answering this a little thoroughly. But I will say just for a quick response. I typically put my hair in a bun to keep it from frizzing if I’m in a tropical climate.
Put on the right products before hand if you are not already; a good quality blow dry balm which you smooth on damp hair before blow dry. That will help your style say smooth all day. Depending on the style you want you may also want to use a mousse at the crown of the head for volume. Also, use a good heat protection oil/spray. Research the right products! Good luck!

My hot tool lasted 4 months only

Omg the revlon! It freaked out that it was being replaced! But the hot tools worked out great! Love the result
I got the purple one hot tools and didnt like it sofar....
I think the fact that barrel on the hot tools is metal helps with overall finish. It simultaneously works as a flat iron smoothing out the hair.

I'm in between purchasing however I was wondering a yr later do you still thi k the hot tools is better then the revlon?
Hi Sharlene, I heard that Revlon has around 4 year warranty on the pink brush. Contact their Customer Service and they will send you a replacement.

Wow thank you so much for sharing!
I’m waiting for that exact sale to finally get the Hot Tools one! I already own the Revlon and love it, but want to try the Hot Tools as well!
That’s the sale I’m waiting for lol
I took advantage of this sale! And with my rewards only paid $20 :D

I just went with Hot Tools & hope it holds up well for me! It’ll be my first blow dry brush 🤞
How is it so far? Just bought it!
@@z_loro4126 hi, it's working great for me 😊I use it maybe 2-3x a week, and have been doing so since I bought it.
Megann Monday hi, do you find that it damages your hair a lot? also how do you manage to keep it in its shape? :)

Helen of Troy makes both the Hot Tools and the Revlon one.
This is the 2nd video where the Revlon broke on camera!
could I have a link of the other video please🙋🏻♀️
A little late here, but I've been watching a lot of hot tools videos, your hair is Gorgeous, TY for the tips lovely lady!

Did revlon end up replacing it with the warranty?
This is the best demonstration of this tool that I’ve seen. I love the curls at the end.
Does the Hot Tools one still work and is it as great when you first used it? I'm thinking of buying one
So far it hasn’t failed me and still works just as great as when I filmed this video. Would definitely recommend. 🙂

Girrlll. It’s worth it. I don’t think I’ll ever go back to using a blowdryer to straighten my hair haha.

Did you send the Revlon one back under warranty??

How do you clean the build up on the brush?
Ok...totally off topic. Where did you get your sweatshirt? I love it!!

How long do the curls typically last?
🥰💖 Happy New Year 🎉
Did you buy your Hot Tools from Amazon?
I think so. Either there or Ulta. I can’t remember.
