The actor playing Gordon has a golden set of pipes, it's hard to not get teared up just listening to it. This season was so amazing, I hope we get a 4th season maybe on Disney +.
Lasting impressions was such a wonderful episode! I fell in love with Gordon in that one, (I already loved Leighton, so no prob on that front ;) and to hear him sing it's song again is such a bittersweet moment. Somehow I wish Gordon can meet someone who's related to Laura in "his" future. So he and we all get to know what happened to her and her relatives.
When I heard Gordo singing this song from the Last Unicorn I was thrilled right away. I was touched that he got to marry the woman from the phone. But I was saddened that he had to lose her and their children. It pulltmy heart strings.
I hope they revisit this episode and what happened to Gordon in that other timeline. I feel like it was way too easy to just have him forgive his best friend and captain for ripping him away from his wife and children, even if it was in another timeline.
I hope they revisit it too but I think he forgave cause he never knew. He said it himself, he flat out agreed with what they did. The Gordon that forgave Ed never experienced what the older Gordon did. He’d only been on earth for 3 months. Old Gordon said he hid for 3 years. So at this point, the Gordon we get back still very much believed in the principles of the Union that Ed abused by.
I want a full version of just Scott Grimes singing this, and if there already is, I need to find it. My favorite episode. Im hoping a new person comes on the Orville and its someone that looks like Laura, acts like laura and loves Gordon like Laura did in this episode, just in his time... like a Descendant maybe. I hope Gordon finds love!!!
This episode hits harder after I worked out how to make GPT-4 simulate a starship, crew and scenes in a living interactive universe.. when the 8k limit hits in 2 weeks.. alls left is memories.. but damn if it isnt the best damn experience id never change for the world
