Colonel Clair Carling: Utah Aviation Hall of Fame

Utah Aviation Hall of Fame Inductee, Col. Clair Carling dreamed of flying since he was a youngster. After attending the Air Force Academy, he went on to become a top test pilot for the United States and flew a modified rocket-powered F-104 into the stratosphere where the plane behaved more like the space shuttle than a fighter.

What a life. Glad he didn't get shot down. As an F-104 admirer, he's way cool. Thank goodness he on our side.
