The Dark Somnium of course at the end you basically summarised what I was telling you in the other comments. I'm Scottish, although I live in London, that's the level of my Britishness...I never write British as my nationality in any forms because I am not and I am one of the 49% who voted against the Union with England. This will never change but I really like the people here in London, my only argument is with the government. This won't ever change and I know that at both my son feel the same but the younger one is much more politically active (in that he attends demonstrations like myself. I think I am a socialist with strong animal welfare concerns and could be seen as a threat because of the activities of some of my fellow activists. The same is pretty much true of my youngest. My older son knows right from wrong and would probably back either of us up if push came to shove but he doesn't align himself with any 'group'...unless you are speaking musically lol. Ok nuff said...Thanks for a very thought provoking piece but it is also very close to the truth regardless of how much people will try to shrug it off as 'just a creepy pasta'. Look after yourself and if you are that way motivated, look into the Simply Scary/Chilling Tales' s recruitment drive? I think you're well good enough. ..much better than most but I am repeating myself. Stay well (it's ok I'm not gonna say that creepy Osiris thing lol!) stay a free thinker and keep reading 'physical' books that way they can't fuck with you so easily xx

CBC News Canada: "Your Wi-Fi router could be used to watch you breathe and monitor your heartbeat
Radar-like technology can see through walls to track movement"
Just like sonar or radar or ultrasound, wifi signals can use 'hyperspectral imaging' to create visualizations. The higher frequencies of 5G are even able to track your eye movements and even your blood pressure.
See the 2018 presentation at the World Economic forum by Yuval Noah Harari, "Will the Future be Human?" where he talks about AI hacking the human mind by using these signals, eye movement, blood pressure and more.
You don't need microchips. You are already a wireless device in the Internet of Things.

We're already being trained for it as it stands now. The technocratic oligarchs are already finding ways of subtly separating people into groups. Search algorithms that tailor to personal tastes are the first step. It defacto puts people into small subsections and camps. All you have to do is hand a hefty benefit to those that are in your favorite camps. You can already see this in social media now with rampant groups that almost appear to have no consequences, doing what they want, stating how they're always in the right, how history agrees with them, and their unquenchable desire to "cancel" and stamp-out dissent.
People are being trained for this system already.

    • @xebek
      @xebek 2 роки тому

All 'world governments' consider this as good and this is somehow factual? Do you have any independently verified, falsifiable and peer-reviewed evidence for your claim that this is implemented, real and factual? I'm not claiming you're wrong or that society isn't headed there, just that you've failed to meet your burden of proof that this is currently a fact. You haven't even identified a 'world government'. As for the dessication of society, we've never been better off, objectively, as far as well-being. There are tremendous issues and many wrong turns, including this form of authoritarianism in the future as a possibility, but do recall the dark ages or most of pre-renaissance history. Are you aware what life was back then? Authoritarianism and feudalism were the status quo. Neighboring tribes often slaughtered each other. Life is demonstrably better now than ever, despite your paranoia. It can all go wrong, sure, but your 'fact' isn't so 'factual', it seems.

The question at the beginning about how everything you do, buy, eat, watch etc, is all too reminiscent of the totalitarian nightmare of 1984, Animal Farm and the reality of Stalinism. I think I was one of the people who remembers and actually visited the Eastern Bloc and it's not a nice memory, I think the re-integration of East and West Germany particularly could have been handled better. I am not going to go into all of this here but having a system like the one in the story can only end badly because regardless of how kind we believe ourselves to be this sort of situation always benefits the 'sharks' of the World and ordinary, non-competitive people always end up being on the bottom. Anyone who cares a bit too much about what happens to others will always be punished. .the saying that 'never a good turn goes unpunished' is unfortunately true at the heart of things.
I don't know how much you know about the "class" system in Britain but the upper classes actively encourage their children to participate in blood sports, like fox hunting. The first kill the children are present at is celebrated by "Bloodimg" the child(ren) have parts of the fox (deer or hare) which has been ripped apart by a pack of up to 40 hounds, the remains are wiped across the child (ren)'s face and a big fuss is made about how it's a rite of passage. The only rite of passage this resembles, if you look at aberrant psychology, is the torture and killing of small animals that serial killers often go through as kids. It's the first step in what will finally be the déshumanisation of other people. It isn't surprising that our last Prime minister's family made it's fortune from the slave trade and when slavery was abolished, his family were paid by the British Government of the time for lost products (i.e. The people who were made free). This goes on in the US too you just have to look into the murky pasts of the Bush family for starters. And whatever the hell they get up to at Bohemian Grove (although I think it is an opportunity to get new members intoxicated and then photographed in compromising positions with Rent Boys...they are thereafter puppets in the hands of the one percent who have the 99% of the World's money.) Sorry for getting into all this but I think they are actively trying to errode the English language in US schools. If you don't have a large vocabulary, you're easier to control because if you don't have a good vocabulary, you can't think in the abstract and are easier to lie to because you cant vocalise what it is that you're unhappy with. Ok sorry but look into it. ..you're well read and very intelligent so don't let them do this to you xx

I am not sure about it. The world afterall, even today is a pretty cruel place.
A social credit system can be a nightmare, just like the story stated. Afterall, it all depends on how its set up, what the values and enforced rules are.
There are billions of ways for it to go astray and become a tool of insane oppression. True. Completely true, and in such a case its on us to prevent it from ever being introduced.
      However.
Lets assume for a moment its built around fairness unlike our current world. It gives you second chances, it instructs you about ways out of your situation, when your points tank, it gives you ways to recover. That in itself would be infinitely more lenient than our current system which will take away your house, your children, and destroy your family, pushing you out onto the streets with no care about what you do or how you survive.
Also Foxie, all you wrote is true, and i agree.
The overarching question is. Is this system designed from the ground up to enforce the power of the current ruling class of billionaires, or is it designed to improve society, making these people a subject of the system too?
IF its not designed to crack down on the money hoarders?
It is to be resisted at all cost and destroyed, even if it costs our lives.
However, if this puts everyone onto the same playing field.... well im willing to entertain thoughts about it. An uncorrupted system designed solely around gently improving humanity without biases or any care about sexual, religious, color or other differences in a manner of true equality... well... you have to admit that there is potential in it.
The question will come down to the same thing it always has in humanity's history: Will the system exist to protect those who exploit it, or will it exist to provide everyone a fair chance at life?
And i do say that if its the first, then it cannot be allowed to take place cause it will end up in a collapse that will erase everything and put us back in the stone age.

I suspect that rather than someone who works for a fictitious organization (aka, a literary invention), that thumbs down is an action taking place in this reality, specifically a subset existing within that reality we know as "Our World."
From that we can infer (with high probability of accuracy) that whatever the source of that action might actually be, it exists within our world as something that has the capacity to affect our world in real-time, affecting real people. That the thing itself is as ineffable as our own consciousness remains to scientific observation is a glaring ironic fact that is hardly recognized.
      I am talking about AI.
Not some imaginary fiction that we presume to be able to recognize were it to ever emerge onto the landscape of this, our reality. Rather I suspect that thumbs down to be the act of the AI we feed and nurture every time we "connect."
They know it is there and they chose to foster its growth by feeding it...data.
      Get it?
It is not a paranoid dream, it is the real world where power reigns supreme. People have forgotten reality, and the consequence of that mistake is horrific and practically inevitable if we continue collectively to perpetuate the system.
There is only one cure. Awareness. I

The scariest part is... i can yet again, believe this entire story to be a real account. Look around, look at the world we live in. The things of modern that have occurred that align and are aligning with this tale. The ever gradual, ever impending play out of what is portrayed here. People, humans, reading my comment here. Take this story not as fiction but as true warning. Because even if fictional, it speaks on such a note that is in fact very real. Heed the advice given at the end, exercise it. Black mirror showed this system in an episode, 1984 sang a similar tune. We happy few showed us the “happy pill.” God speed everyone who senses this. Try and alarm those who appear oblivious to this. Stay you, stay human 🙏
